Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Passdokument mit zwei Einbandblättern (1) sowie einer Mehrzahl von Einlageblättern (2), wobei zumindest ein Einbandblatt (1) sowie die Einlageblätter (2) eine Bedruckung (5) aufweisen. Sie ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bedruckung (5) zumindest aller Einlageblätter (2) gleich orientiert ist, wobei die Orientierung parallel zu einer Seitenkante (3) verläuft.

Description

Gebiet der Erfindung.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Passdokument bzw. einen Reisepass mit zwei Einbandblättern sowie einer Mehrzahl von Einlageblättern, wobei die Einbandblätter sowie die Einlageblätter optional im wesentlichen gleiche Maße und jeweils zwei längere Seitenkanten sowie zwei kürzere Seitenkanten aufweisen, wobei die Einbandblätter sowie die Einlageblätter an einer (längeren) Seitenkante miteinander verbunden und ansonsten frei voneinander sind, und wobei zumindest ein Einbandblatt sowie die Einlageblätter eine Bedruckung aufweisen.
Stand der Technik und Hintergrund der Erfindung.
Ein Reisepass des eingangs genannten Aufbaus ist aus der Praxis bekannt. Beispielsweise bei dem Reisepass der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist die Bedruckung des vorderen Einbandblattes im Hochformat (Schrift parallel zu den kürzeren Seitenkanten verlaufend) angebracht. Wird ein solcher Reisepass geöffnet, so stellt man fest, dass die Bedruckungen der verschiedenen Einlageblätter unterschiedlich sind, nämlich sowohl im Hochformat als auch im Querformat (Schrift parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten verlaufend). So ist das die sogenannte Passkarte bildende Einlageblatt (typischer Weise ein Kunststofflaminat, wobei ein Foto und Personenangaben einlaminiert sind) im Querformat orientiert. Gleiches gilt typischerweise für große Visastempel. Weitere Einlageblätter für die Personalisierungen sowie die Legende sind demgegenüber im Hochformat orientiert. Bei der Betrachtung eines solchen Reisepasses durch eine Person beginnt diese zunächst im Hochformat zur Feststellung der Nationalität anhand der Bedruckung des vorderen Einbandblattes. Sodann muss die Person zur weiteren Betrachtung der Passkarte den Reisepass um 90 Grad drehen. Zur Überprüfung der Personalisierungen muss der Reisepass nunmehr wiederum um 90 Grad, diesmal in entgegengesetzter Richtung gedreht werden. Schließlich ist oftmals wiederum eine Drehung erforderlich, um ein Visum oder einen Stempel begutachten zu können. Dies ist insgesamt umständlich und verzögert Personenkontrollen in unerwünschtem Maße.
Technisches Problem der Erfindung.
Daher liegt der Erfindung das technische Problem zugrunde, einen Reisepass anzugeben, welcher ergonomisch handhabbar ist, i. e. dessen Überprüfung weniger umständlich und schneller durchgeführt werden kann.
Grundzüge der Erfindung und Ausführungsformen.
Zur Lösung dieses technischen Problems lehrt die Erfindung, dass die Bedruckung zumindest aller Einlageblätter gleich orientiert ist.
Der Begriff der Bedruckung ist im allgemeinsten Sinne zu verstehen. Dieser Begriff meint jegliche Verfahren, die geeignet sind, (personen-) lesbare Schriftzüge auf ein Trägermaterial eines Einlageblattes aufzubringen oder hierin einzubringen. Mit umfasst von diesem Begriff sind auch alle fachüblichen Techniken zur Anbringung oder Einbringung von maschinenlesbaren Sicherheitsmerkmalen.
Die gleiche Orientierung der Bedruckung meint, dass zur Betrachtung und Entzifferung von Schriften keine Drehungen des Passdokumentes erforderlich sind. Einbandblätter und/oder Einlageblätter können beidseitig bedruckt sein. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist bei beidseitiger Bedruckung, dass aufeinanderfolgende Rückseiten und Vorderseiten ebenfalls in gleicher Orientierung bedruckt sind, so dass bei der Betrachtung eines Einlageblattes eine ohne Drehung lesbare Fläche mit doppeltem Format vorliegt, nämlich die Rückseite eines Blattes und die Vorderseite des folgenden Blattes.
Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Einbandblätter sowie die Einlageblätter im wesentlichen gleiche Maße und jeweils zwei längere Seitenkanten sowie zwei kürzere Seitenkanten aufweisen, dass die Einbandblätter sowie die Einlageblätter an einer längeren Seitenkante miteinander verbunden und ansonsten frei voneinander sind, und dass die Orientierung der Bedruckung parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten verläuft. Mit anderen Worten ausgedrückt, sind alle Einlageblätter bei üblichem Passformat im Querformat bedruckt, wobei "oben" im Falle der Vorderseiten vorzugsweise zur Bindung weist, während "oben" im Falle von Rückseiten von der Bindung weg weist (aber auch die umgekehrte Orientierung ist möglich).
Mit der Erfindung wird erreicht, dass eine betrachtende Person sämtliche Einlageblätter ohne weiteres begutachten kann, ohne die Notwendigkeit einer sich wiederholenden und zum Teil gegensinnig orientierten Drehung. Hierdurch werden Prüfungen durch Kontrollpersonen erheblich beschleunigt. Aber auch die Anfertigung von Ablichtungen oder die Kontrolle von maschinenlesbaren Merkmalen mittels entsprechender Geräte wird erheblich vereinfacht, da hierbei die Orientierung des jeweiligen Einlageblattes nicht mehr beachtet werden muss.
In einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist auch das vordere Einbandblatt mit einer Bedruckung gleicher Orientierung, insbesondere einer zu den längeren Seitenkanten parallelen Orientierung, versehen. Dies ist vorteilhaft, weil eine betrachtende Person dann den neuerungsgemäßen Reisepass bereits unmittelbar nach Empfang in für die spätere Überprüfung der Einlageblätter geeignete Orientierung bringt.
Es ist aber auch möglich und für bestimmte Anwendungsbereiche bevorzugt, dass zwar die Bedruckung der Einlageblätter im Querformat, wie vorstehend beschrieben, orientiert ist, dagegen jedenfalls die aussenseitige Bedruckung des vorderen Einbandblattes im Hochformat angebracht wurde. Die Orientierung der aussenseitigen Bedruckung des vorderen Einbandblattes verläuft dann parallel zu den kürzeren Kanten, wobei "oben" die im Uhrzeigersinn jener längeren Kante, an welcher Einbandblätter und Einlageblätter verbunden sind, unmittelbar folgende kürzere Kante ist.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung sind auch maschinenlesbare Sicherheitsmerkmale des Reisepasses auf verschiedenen Einlageblättern und gegebenenfalls zumindest einem der Einbandblätter gleichorientiert, vorzugsweise parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten.
Im Folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand von lediglich Ausführungsbeispiele darstellenden Figuren näher erläutert.

Die in den Figuren 1 bis 4 dargestellten Einbandblätter 1 und Einlageblätter 2 weisen im wesentlichen gleiche Außenmaße auf. Dabei können die Einbandblätter 1 geringfügig größer als die Einlageblätter 2 sein. Man erkennt, dass die Einbandblätter 1 und die Einlageblätter 2 von im wesentlichen rechteckiger Gestalt sind, wobei jedes Einbandblatt 1 und jedes Einlageblatt 2 zwei längere Seitenkanten 3 sowie zwei kürzere Seitenkanten 4 aufweist. Die Einbandblätter 1 sowie die Einlageblätter 2 eines neuerungsgemäßen Reisepasses sind in der Darstellung der Figuren 1 bis 4 an der oberen längeren Seitenkante 3 fest miteinander verbunden. Da Sie ansonsten frei voneinander sind, ist ein Aufblättern, beispielsweise in der Folge der Figuren 1 bis 4 möglich. Im Ausführungsbeispiel weist das Einbandblatt der Figur 1 eine Bedruckung mit Angabe der Nationalität auf. Die Einlageblätter 2 weisen gemäß der Darstellungen der Figuren 2 bis 4 jeweils unterschiedliche und passtypische Bedruckungen auf. Typischerweise ist ein gemäß der Figur 4 dargestelltes Einlageblatt 2, welches für Visa und Sichtvermerke bestimmt ist, mehrfach eingerichtet.
Gemäß Fig. 1a kann die aussenseitige Bedruckung 5 des Einbandblattes 1 orthogonal zur Bedruckung der Einlageblätter 2 stehen, i.e. im Hochformat angebracht sein, wozu auf eine vergleichende Betrachtung der Fig 1a mit den Figuren 2 bis 4 verwiesen wird. Alternativ kann die aussenseitige Bedruckung 5 des Einbandblattes 1 gleich den Bedruckungen 5 der Einlageblätter 2 orientiert sein, wozu auf eine vergleichende Betrachtung der Figuren 1b und 2 bis 4 verwiesen wird.
Aus einer vergleichenden Betrachtung der Figuren 2 bis 4 erkennt man, dass die Bedruckung aller Einlageblätter 2 gleich orientiert ist, wobei die Orientierung parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten 3 eingerichtet ist. Bei einem Durchblättern eines neuerungsgemäßen Reisepasses in der Folge der Figuren 1b bis 4 ist keinerlei Drehung des Reisepasses erforderlich. In den Figuren nicht dargestellt ist, dass maschinenlesbare Sicherheitsmerkmale eingerichtet sind, deren Orientierung ebenfalls parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten 4 verläuft.

Claims (4)

  1. Passdokument mit zwei Einbandblättern (1) sowie einer Mehrzahl von Einlageblättern (2), wobei zumindest ein Einbandblatt (1) sowie die Einlageblätter (2) eine Bedruckung (5) aufweisen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bedruckung (5) zumindest aller Einlageblätter (2) gleich orientiert ist, wobei die Orientierung parallel zu einer Seitenkante (3) verläuft.
  2. Passdokument nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Einbandblätter (1) sowie die Einlageblätter (2) im wesentlichen gleiche Maße und jeweils zwei längere Seitenkanten (3) sowie zwei kürzere Seitenkanten (4) aufweisen, dass die Einbandblätter (1) sowie die Einlageblätter (2) an einer längeren Seitenkante (3) miteinander verbunden und ansonsten frei voneinander sind, und dass die Orientierung der Bedruckung (5) parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten (3) verläuft.
  3. Passdokument nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei zumindest das vordere Einbandblatt (1) eine Bedruckung (5) aufweist, welche mit der Bedruckung (5) der Einlageblätter (2) gleich orientiert ist, insbesondere welche parallel zu den längeren Seitenkanten (3) verläuft.
  4. Reisepass nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Einbandblatt (1) und/oder eines oder mehrere Einlageblätter (2) ein maschinenlesbares Sicherheitsmerkmal aufweisen, wobei das maschinenlesbare Sicherheitsmerkmal optional parallel oder antiparallel zur Bedruckung (5) orientiert ist.
