Definitions

  • the invention relates to a firearm with at least two superposed guns with adjustable geometry, which are interconnected by at least one band and a method for adjusting the geometry of the guns at the front of a double-barreled gun and connected by a band.
  • the gap between the point of impact of a bullet fired by one of the guns and the point of impact of a bullet fired by the other gun must be limited. Acceptance standards are such that at a certain distance from the target, this gap must be practically non-existent.
  • the guns are connected to each other by a band so that the guns are convergent.
  • One of the guns is in this case released at the front of the weapon of the aforesaid band and is separated from the band, and therefore from the other barrel, by means of a ring which surrounds the free barrel and which is retained in place on the barrel cleared by a muzzle that is removably mounted on the other barrel.
  • the invention aims to avoid the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a weapon to at least two guns that allows a relatively accurate adjustment, easy and fast geometry of guns and whose construction is very simple and aesthetically justified.
  • a firearm with at least two superimposed cannons interconnected by a band except for a length from the mouth of the guns, the front parts of the guns being convergent if they are not removed.
  • this weapon being characterized in that the band is attached to the lower barrel almost to its mouth or to its mouth but is released from the upper barrel a distance from this mouth, the upper barrel being surrounded at the front by a ring spreading by elastic deformation of the band and thus the lower barrel and that the ring is retained in place by the handlebar base which is fixed on the end of the upper barrel.
  • the invention also comprises a method for adjusting the geometry of the guns at the front of a weapon with two superposed guns and connected by at least one strip which, at the front, is disengaged from the upper gun.
  • Figure 1 a firearm, plus particularly a rifle, two superimposed guns 1 and 2 which are connected by a central strip 3 and which are soldered in a hoop not shown.
  • the band 3 is brazed, for example silver, along its length to the lower barrel 1, almost to the mouth of the barrel 1, for example up to a few millimeters of this mouth.
  • This band 3 is, on the other hand, brazed only over part of its length to the upper barrel 2, and is disengaged over a distance, for example about a third of its length, from the mouth of the upper barrel 2, by a clearance 4 as shown in Figure 2.
  • the clearance 4 is provided over a certain length of a deeper part 5.
  • the guns 1 and 2 are, where they are connected by the band 3, slightly converging and the cradles or contact areas of the band 3 with the guns 1 and 2 form a small angle A between them.
  • the outer and inner surfaces of the ring 6 are concentric and the inner diameter of the ring 6 corresponds to the outer diameter of the upper barrel 2.
  • This ring 6 is part of a series of rings having different outside diameters.
  • the ring 6 shown in Figures 1 to 4 is the smallest ring in the series.
  • Figure 5 is a section similar to that of Figure 4, but with the ring 6 having a larger outside diameter.
  • cleat 7 At the end of the upper barrel 2 is a cleat 7 which is brazed on the barrel 2 and is provided with a threaded hole 8 and a bore 9.
  • a handlebar base 10 which is equipped with a removable handlebar 11.
  • a transverse groove 12 is machined in the base 13 of the handlebar base 10.
  • the width of the groove 12 corresponds to the width of the ring 6 and the depth of the groove 12 is greater than the thickness of the largest of the rings 6 of the aforementioned series.
  • the upper part of the ring 6 is housed in this groove 12.
  • the base of the handlebar 10 is positioned on the upper barrel 2 with a pin 14 which is housed, on the one hand, in a passage 15 which is below the handlebar 11 and which is made in the handlebar base 10, and secondly in the hole 9 of the catch 7.
  • the handlebar base 10 is fixed on the barrel 2 by means of a fixing screw 16 which passes through an opening 17 in the handlebar base 10 and which is screwed into the threaded hole 8 of the catch 7.
  • one of the rings 6, normally the smallest, is slid on the upper barrel 2 and is immobilized in place by means of the handlebar base 10 which holds the ring 6 axially in place by the fact that the ring 6 is housed in the groove 12.
  • Blows are fired by both guns 1 and 2 on a target at a fixed distance. The difference between the impacts is verified and if it is not acceptable, the aforementioned ring 6 is replaced by another ring 6 to larger diameter.
  • Shots are fired again and the impact gap is checked again. This is repeated until the ideal mouth gap between cannons 1 to 2 is obtained.
  • the user of the rifle can not disrupt the geometry of the guns 1 and 2.
  • the setting is not disturbed by a disassembly of the rifle. If the handlebar base 10 and the ring 6 are removed, their refitting automatically ensures the perfect adjustment.
  • the adjustment depends in fact only on the outer diameter of the ring 6 and its axial position on the barrel 2.
  • handlebar 11 does not necessarily have to be removable and can be an integral part of the handlebar base 10.
  • the fixing screw 16 of the handlebar base 10 can be screwed directly into the upper barrel 2 without the intermediate cleat 7, provided of course that the wall of the barrel 2 is sufficiently thick.
  • the correct positioning of the handlebar base 10 on the barrel 2 can be achieved for example by a form of the base 10 which is perfectly adapted to the shape of the barrel 2 and / or in the form of the cleat 7.
  • the handlebar base 10 can of course consist of several parts that are separately or separately fixed on the upper barrel 2 and one or more parts retain the ring 6 axially in place on the barrel 2.
  • the invention is not limited to rifles, but is also applicable to other weapons with two or even more than two guns.
