Description

The present invention relates to a thermally insulated composite profile, in particular for the formation of frames for windows, doors, facade elements or the like, with a metallic profile on a first side and a metallic profile on an opposite second side, and at least one plastic-containing insulating web, the two metallic profiles with formation of a thermal insulation zone connects to each other, wherein at least one groove for receiving a fitting part or fastening element is provided.

From the DE 33 16 624 is a thermally insulated composite profile is known which has two profiles made of metal, which are interconnected via insulating bars. The metal profiles have grooves into which fitting parts can be inserted so that the profiles can be assembled into a frame for windows or doors. Although provides in the known composite profile, the use of insulating bars for a certain thermal insulation, but the insulating bars are relatively short and therefore provide only a limited thermal insulation. Broadening the insulating bars leads to an improvement of the thermal insulation, but also leads to a greater depth of the frame profiles themselves. This larger profile depth leads to functional limitations of the resulting windows, in particular, the smallest dimensions of the windows are limited.

The EP 460,514 discloses a composite profile having on the outside metallic profiles which are connected via a central insulating profile. On the insulating profile projecting webs are formed in a rebate, which serve as a facility for a seal. Furthermore, grooves are formed on the metal profiles, can be engaged in the strips for receiving fitting parts.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a composite profile, which has a good or improved thermal insulation while maintaining required mechanical functionalities and the tread depth.

This object is achieved with a composite profile with the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, the composite profile has a groove for receiving a fitting part or fastening element, whose first wall is formed by an outer wall or a wall adjacent to the outer wall of a metallic profile and the second wall of the first wall opposite to the insulating web. The groove is thus formed of a metallic portion and a part of the insulating web, so that the length of the insulating bar can be made comparatively longer, which increases the thermal insulation. The functionality of the composite profile is maintained by the formation of such a groove, since the known fitting parts can be further inserted into the groove, so that no mechanical disadvantages must be taken into account or other stability problems occur. The overall depth of the composite profile can be maintained.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the groove is undercut formed and both on the metallic outer wall or an adjacent wall and on the second wall each directed towards the median plane of the groove protruding bar is provided. As a result, fitting parts, such as locking bars can be inserted into the composite profile and are secured against falling out.

If the bottom of the groove is formed partly of insulating material and partly of metal and the areas of different materials are arranged substantially on one level, the fitting parts can be guided particularly well in the groove. Small height changes on the ground can usually still be compensated, but the fitting parts are often symmetrical in cross-section, so that the groove is preferably also formed symmetrically on the guide surfaces.

For a particularly stable guidance of fitting parts, the second wall of the groove is formed reinforced. The reinforcement may be by embedded fibers and / or inlays of a reinforcing material, such as glass fibers, metal or other Materials are made. Additionally or alternatively, the second wall may be supported on the side facing away from the first wall by a strut in order to accommodate high mechanical loads can. If the strut is inclined and connected to the insulating bar, the insulating bar can also be manufactured as part of a hollow profile.

For a reinforcement of the second wall, it is also possible to form the second wall in several parts. It can also be provided reinforcing supports on the groove wall, which ensure an even distribution of forces.

According to a preferred embodiment, the composite profile is designed as a frame profile and each metallic profile has at least one hollow chamber for insertion of a corner connector. This makes it possible to produce particularly stable frames for doors or windows. In the groove whose dimensions can be maintained, then a locking bar and / or another fitting part may be inserted so that the frame also has a good thermal insulation with high stability.

A composite profile 1 for a wing frame comprises a metallic profile 2 and a metallic profile 3, which are extruded, for example, from aluminum. Between the profiles 2 and 3, two insulating bars 4 and 5 are arranged, which are permanently connected via known fastening techniques with the profiles 2 and 3. On the metal profile 3 and the insulating web 4, a groove 6 is provided, wherein a first wall 7 of the groove 6 is formed by the outer wall of the profile 3. The groove 6 may also be bounded laterally by a metallic wall 16 shown in dashed lines parallel and close to the wall 7. On the opposite side, a second wall 9 of the groove 6 is integrally formed on the insulating bar 4.

The groove 6 is formed undercut, wherein protruding from the outer wall 7, a bar 8 and of the wall 9, a bar 10 each inwardly toward the groove center. Through the strips 8 and 10, a fitting part 11 is captively received in the groove 6, wherein the bar 8 is stepped and the fitting part 11 is not directly on the outer wall 7. The bottom of the groove 6 is partially formed by a metallic portion 12 of the profile 3 and partly by a portion 13 of the insulating strip 4, wherein by the embedding of a thickened portion 17 of the insulating bar 4 by means of a rolled web 18, a small recess is provided in the bottom However, the functionality of the groove 6 is not affected. Depending on requirements, the section 13 can be extended and, if necessary, the section 12 of the metallic profile 3 can be shortened. The length of the portion 12 depends in the illustrated composite profile 1 on the size of the hollow chamber 14, which is used for example for receiving a corner connector. On the opposite side of the profile 2 also a hollow chamber 15 is provided for fastening means.

In FIG. 1B is a comparable composite profile 1 according to the prior art with a metallic profile 2 'and a metallic profile 3', which are interconnected via insulating bars 4 'and 5' shown. On the metallic profile 3 ', a groove 6' is provided, the groove walls 7 'and 9' are formed of metal and which is also undercut, wherein inwardly projecting strips 8 'and 10' are provided.

The length of the insulating bars 4 'and 5' is only A ', so that only a limited heat insulation is given. Compared with the embodiment of the present invention Figure 1A the length of the insulating bars 4 and 5 is A and is significantly longer than in the prior art. As a result, the thermal insulation of the composite profile 1 is improved without its width being increased. Furthermore, the functionality of the composite profile 1 is maintained, since all cavities 14, 15 and corresponding grooves 6 can be used for the use of existing fasteners and fittings.

In FIG. 2 an insulating profile 40 made of plastic or a composite material is shown, which can be used in a composite profile according to the invention. The insulating profile 40 comprises an insulating web 41 on the end of each thickenings 42 and 43 are formed, which can be bordered on webs of a metal profile for a permanent connection. Furthermore, knurling wires 44 are provided on the thickenings 42 and 43, respectively, which improve the shear strength between the insulating web 41 and the respective metallic outer profile by positive locking.

On the insulating profile 40, a groove bottom 45 and an angle thereto extending groove wall 46 is formed, which comprises at the upper end a directed inwardly toward a Nutmitte bar 47. The groove wall 46 and the strip 47 are supported by a strut 48 extending on the side facing away from the groove, so that increased mechanical loads can also be absorbed by the groove wall 46. On the strut 48 is still a bar 49 is formed as an attachment for a seal.

In FIG. 3 an inventive composite profile is shown in the mounted state. A metallic profile 2 is connected via an insulating profile with an insulating web 41 'and an insulating web 5 with a further metallic profile 3. The composite profile is part of a frame of a wing, in which an insulating glass pane 55 is enclosed. Further, a groove 6 is provided, which has a wall, as in the previous embodiments, which is formed by the outer wall of the metallic profile 3 and on the opposite side has a wall which is integrally formed on the insulating profile. The wall is on the side of the insulating profile formed in several parts and comprises a holding portion 46 'of the material of the insulating profile and an insert 51 which is bordered on the insulating profile. On the insert 51 an inwardly projecting bar 52 is formed, so that a fitting part is captively inserted into the groove 6. The wall 46 'is supported by a strut 48' which is connected to the insulating web 41 '. On the strut 48 ', a stop 49' for a seal 50 is formed.

In the embodiment shown, the frame according to the prior art with a metallic profile 22 'and a metallic profile 23', which are connected via insulating bars 24 'and 25', formed. It is also possible to use an inventive composite profile for the frame.

In the embodiments shown, the size of the cavities in the metal profiles usually depends on the stability requirements and the intended fastening means, such as corner connectors. As a result, the region of the groove bottom, which is formed by the insulating web, is relatively small. It is also possible to extend the Isolierstege under other mechanical conditions. However, the groove dimensions and the depth of the profile can be maintained.

The insulating bars are made of a plastic material that can be reinforced by glass fibers or other materials. It is also possible, instead of the insert 51, to insert or form an insert in the form of glass fiber inlays into the insulating profile or to provide other further reinforcing means.
