Moreover, these materials are difficult to be processed when they have to be manufactured (as, for example, in the manufacturing of fireproof garments).

  • the felts having an areal mass higher than 100 g/m 2 are specially preferred.
  • finished felts having various thickness can be needle felted together, with the same number of needles and beatings previously specified; this so as to obtain new finished felts having a total number of veils, needles used, and beatings that are the sum of the veils, needles, and beatings of the original felts. This further improves the toughness and resistance of the finished product.
  • the felt after being needle felted, can be quilted with a yarn, in more or less large stitches, containing 100% of pre-anodized acrylic fibres, or these pre-anodized acrylic fibres in a blend with aramidic, or metal-aramidic, or para-aramidic fibres; or with a yarn comprising 100% aramidic, or metal-aramidic, or para-aramidic fibres; or again, during the needle felting process a net made in a mechanically resistant material (for example a Kevlar ® net) that will make up a weave for the same felt can be added inside the felt.

  • the drilling time has been higher than 3 minutes, and the temperature at the opposite side, at 3 cm from the felt, before the drilling, never exceeded 50° C.
  • the fabric according to the present invention can be laminated, sized, spread, and quilted with any other type of fabric to give the garment the desired characteristics.

Claims (20)

  1. Feutres comprenant des voiles se racouvrant, feutrés ensemble, consistant en fibres acryliques pré-anodisées.
  2. Feutres selon la revendication 1, ayant une masse superficielle supérieure à 100 g/m2.
  3. Feutre selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le nombre de voiles est compris entre 6 et 11.
  4. Feutre selon la revendication 3, dans lequel le nombre de voiles est compris entre 7 et 9.
  5. Feutre selon les revendications 3 et 4, dans lequel les voiles subissent un processus de cardage et feutrage à l'aiguille qui prévoit de 5000 à 10000 aiguilles par m2 et de 400 à 800 battements par minute.
  6. Feutre selon la revendication 5 dans lequel le processus de feutrage à l'aiguille prévoit l'utilisation de 7000-9000 aiguilles par m2 et 600-800 battements par minute.
  7. Feutre selon les revendications 1-6, dans lequel les mêmes feutres sont piqués de points plus ou moins grands.
  8. Feutre selon la revendication 7 dans lequel le piquage prévoit un fil comprenant 100% des fibres acryliques pré-anodisées.
  9. Feutre selon la revendication 7 dans lequel le piquage prévoit un fil comprenant 100% de fibres aramidiques, méta-aramidiques, para-aramidiques.
  10. Feutre selon les revendications 1-9 dans lequel ledit feutre comprend un tissage fait d'un filet en un matériau mécaniquement résistant.
  11. Feutre selon la revendication 10, dans lequel ledit tissage est inclus à l'intérieur du feutre.
  12. Feutre selon la revendication 10, dans lequel ledit tissage est appliqué sur l'une des surfaces du feutre par les techniques usuelles de stratification ou apprêt.
  13. Feutre selon la revendication 1 comprenant des feutres selon les revendications 2-5 feutrés à l'aiguille ensemble.
  14. Procédé pour la fabrication d'un feutre selon les revendications 1-6 dans lequel les fibres acryliques pré-anodisées, en flocons, subissent le processus de cardage et sont transformées en voiles se recouvrant qui sont alors feutrés en utilisant 5000-10000 aiguilles par m2, en effectuant 400-800 battements par minute ; et les feutres ainsi obtenus sont à leur tour feutrés ensemble.
  15. Procédé selon la revendication 14 dans lequel le procédé de feutrage à l'aiguille est effectué en utilisant 7000-9000 aiguilles et 600-800 battements par minute.
  16. Utilisation des feutres selon les revendications 1-13 pour la fabrication de matériaux d'isolement.
  17. Utilisation des feutres selon les revendications 1-13 pour la fabrication d'un tissu protecteur contre le feu et la chaleur, pour la fabrication de produits pour la protection des matériaux ou des plantes par rapport au feu, de capitonnages textiles ignifuges et d'accessoires pour l'ameublement des endroits réservés au public.
  18. Matériaux isolants faits de ou comprenant des feutres selon les revendications 1-13.
  19. Vêtements ignifuges et résistants à la chaleur, produits utiles pour la protection des matériaux ou plantes du feu, capitonnage textile ignifuge et accessoires pour l'ameublement des endroits réservés au public, matériaux isolants faits ou comprenant des feutres selon les revendications 1-13.
  20. Feutres selon les revendications 1-13 dans lesquels la fibre acrylique pré-adonisée est du type LASTAN® PIROMEX®, PANOX®, PYRON® ou leurs mélanges.
