Definitions
- the invention relates to a gutter connector according to the Preamble of claim 1.
- the invention has for its object a generic Gutter connector to improve that it reliably sits firmly on the gutter and, if desired, the tightest possible connection to the gutter guaranteed.
- the invention proposes the front end of the strip so long or large that this completely crosses the free interior of the gutter bead. This ensures that the front End supports against the outer portion of the bead and thus already at the opposite wall section Bead ensures that there is the strip of the connector abuts the gutter. In this way, an optimal Tightness and the largest possible contact of the seal on the gutter, if desired, e.g. if there are two channel sections with each other as a connecting element connects, or if the end channel is the open channel profile closes at one of the two ends of the gutter.
- the connector should be the gutter embrace.
- the fold provided there should in particular the gutter, the so-called "nose”, from the connector be embraced.
- This is a comparative advantage large bending radius in this rear area of the connector created an undesirable weakening of material avoids the connector in this area and also resolved and reused for any corrections can become without breaking; in particular in contrast to mounting options where the nose of the Gutter removed or laid flat on the gutter or set up is, so that known connectors, especially from the Well-known gutter connectors in this area must be bent sharp-edged by about 180 °.
- the proposed connector is in the most stable Part of the gutter supports, namely in the bead, and in this Bead literally hooked in or hooked on is both a tight fit of the connector on the gutter favored as this also ensures that the connection is sealed, if the connector for a watertight connection the gutter is provided. Especially if the bend on front end of the connector of the bend of the gutter bead is adjusted, this causes the connector to bend an improved stability of this connector. In particular becomes a play-free fixing at its attachment point causes in the channel bead, which makes the reliable Ensured tight fit of the connector over a long period becomes.
- the rear end of the connector may be divided into two or more tabs by appropriate slots, so that they can be bent individually. This facilitates the work for the user and enables optimal adaptation to e.g. curved gutter sections, or at different heights abutting gutter sections, as in practice cannot be excluded.
- a tensioning aid is provided on one of these tabs, can first tension this tab and on the nose of the Channel section can be set, and then can the one or more other tabs - possibly without Clamping aid - to be bent around the nose Fix connector further.
- each of the tabs is provided with a tensioning aid, can on the one hand, a particularly firm contact pressure of the connector to the gutter are made possible by the individual tabs be tensioned one after the other and at the subsequent one Tab due to the preload of the previously set Tab the pressure of the connector to the Channel can be reinforced.
- the rear end of the connector can advantageously be as short be sized such that it is approximately U-shaped around the nose of the gutter bent over - not in because of its great length the gutter must protrude, but approximately G-shaped in the cavity can be folded under the nose. To this The wise will not only become a hindrance in the light Avoided the gutter space, but it also becomes a special one reliable definition of this second end at the Channel ensured, which ensures the reliable sealing of the connector continues to be supported.
- the reliable retention of the curved around the gutter Shape of the assembled connector can be particularly in Formation of the connector made of metal can be effected.
- Connectors made of other materials such as plastic may have a metal core for the same reason.
- An optimal optical alignment of the connector can by causing it to be made of the same material, e.g. made of the same metal as the gutter.
- the connector with one on the inside of the strip provided seal. hereby will be the assembly of a separate, loose to handle Gasket is unnecessary and the tightness of the connector established connection ensured.
- J-shaped curved holders can be painted over. So it can aesthetic problem that arise because of their coloring do not match the gutter material used in a Gutter repair is used for the new gutter.
- hooks and troughs for example a new building
- inexpensive hooks can also be used if the gutter is a more complex overall Has surface quality.
- elaborately processed hooks can be standardized hooks Find use covered with hook cladding be what the rest of the appearance of the gutter correspond.
- the hook is damaged, for example if one or both springs are damaged, which ones either at the rear edge or at the front edge of the Gutter are provided so that the hook cladding is secure Connection between the channel section concerned and hooks:
- the hook cladding lies on the outside of the hook. This takes the gutter on the inside.
- the hook cladding is there from the material strip described above and fork advantageously Y-shaped on at least one, possibly even on hers Both ends: It can therefore be on both sides next to the passed the rear part of the hook and around the rear "nose" the gutter are guided, while the rear part of the a total of approximately J-shaped hook between these two rear
- the ends of the hook cladding run and fastened to the house is.
- the front end of the gutter trim strip can be designed in one piece without a fork. If the strip the gutter trim is also Y-shaped at the front end Fork has, this forms two sections, each run next to the hook and get into the bulge of the Extend gutter.
- the Y-shaped fork can be designed so that in this area the hook cladding expanded and in the area of these two ends is wider than in the rest of the part, in which the strip runs without a fork.
- the strip is in its entire length has essentially the same width and only one there Has recess where in this way the fork-shaped Is provided at one or both ends, which attaches to the side of the hook or gutter bracket allows.
- hook and groove are not matched to each other electrochemically.
- the two components chemically from each other to separate, for example by a plastic layer between Hook and gutter.
- a self-adhesive Plastic strips on the hook or under the gutter can be glued or such a strip can be loosely between Gutter and hooks are placed, in both cases the strip is advantageously chosen to be narrow for optical reasons may be that this is of the subsequently assembled Hook cladding is covered.
- Inexpensive hooks can be used for new installations that do not have separate holding devices, such as holding tabs od. Like. Have to fix the gutter. To be reliable exclude that the gutter in an undesirable Extent can move relative to the hook non-slip coated hooks can be used.
- the hook can be factory-fitted with a non-slip Be provided material, for example in such a Immersed material or at least on their contact surface, with which they will lie against the gutter, with such a anti-slip material can be coated. It can happen for example a rubber solution or a similar liquid one Act coating, which then, i.e. after drying, has anti-slip properties, such as this of elastomers, such as rubber or polyurethane plastics is known.
- Such a casing or coating the gutter hook can not only be provided to achieve anti-slip properties, but it can also be provided to be an electrochemical To allow separation between hook and gutter, so that for example, the cheapest possible hooks are used can without the formation of local chemical elements have to fear that too rapid wear fear of the hook and / or the gutter in the areas in which the gutter and hook adjoin each other.
- a coating for example with initially liquid Materials, even when using new hooks be provided on the hook a loose or adhesive release layer provide or the hook with a suitable strip to wrap.
- the connector can advantageously be designed as an angle piece be two gutters that meet at an angle connect to.
- the comparatively short front ends of such an elbow give the Gutters have a certain degree of flexibility and alignment within of the contra-angle, so that for example the contra-angle can be preformed to two at right angles to each other to hit appropriate gutters, with the aforementioned mobility it allows the elbow to be reliably sealed also takes gutters that are at an angle of, for example Collide 70 ° or 120 °.
- a reliable fixing of the channels can be done by the rear Ends of the strip are allowed if longer than the front ends are designed. Because of their customization the front ends are preformed on the bead and allow due to their short length, the corresponding adaptability at angular misalignments of the gutter compared to the Ideal angle of 90 °. The rear ends of the connector however, are only applied when the connector is installed the gutters adjusted. They can therefore be long enough be designed in favor of a reliable determination of the two channels in the connector.
- the front end of the connector can advantageously be round be angled continuously. This way, is facing a straight-edged one, edged in relation to the rest of the strip Bridge ensures that even with tolerances in the bead formation, or in the case of minor damage such as minor damage Dents in the bead, which reduce the free interior of the bead, the front end of the strip easily into the bead can be introduced.
- the front end is preferably bent by more than 180 °, so that it is reliably excluded that there is a Front edge abuts the inside of the bead wall.
- the bending radius of the front end is preferably not constant, but this front end runs with one rather spiral cross-section, i.e. with a smaller end towards the free end bending radius. This will introduce the front Finally relieved in the free interior of the bead.
- 1 is generally a connector for a gutter section 7, which is called a strip 2 of sheet metal is designed. Adapted to the respective gutter construction
- the strip 2 can be made of copper, zinc or galvanized steel sheet consist.
- the connector 1 serves as a gutter connector for the watertight connection of two adjacent gutter sections
- the strip 2 has a so-called front end 3 on.
- the front end 3 closes to the remaining part of the strip 2, the gutter section 7 abuts, and extends to an angle of more than 180 ° compared to this strip 2.
- the front end 3 In adaptation to a bead 8 of the Channel section 7 runs the front end 3 with one and its free end is becoming smaller and smaller bent so far from the strip 2 that there is free space the bead 8 crosses completely and inside on one Outer section 10 of the bead 8 abuts.
- the front end 3 practices thereby applying a contact pressure with which the strip 2 the channel section 7 either already in the bead 8 or in the area of the channel section 7, which is the bead 8 is closely adjacent. This way, a dense plant of the gutter connector on the two adjacent gutter sections 7 over a particularly large length of its circumference ensured.
- the bead 8 has an inner end edge 14 on which the front end 3 rests. If the connector 1 at his rear end, not recognizable in FIG. 1, around the channel section 7 is tensioned, tensile forces over the strip 2 transfer. These cause the front end to 3 around the point of contact on the inner end edge 14 is levered and more firmly from the inside to the outer section 10 of the bead 8 invests.
- FIG. 2 shows the arrangement a connecting piece also designed as a channel connector 1, which is designed according to the prior art:
- front end 3 is opposite the strip 2 by 90 ° angled and straight. It is the outer section 10 the bead 8 not from the inside, but is supported on the strips of bead 8 bent upwards inwards, so that at the level of the bead a gap between the strip 2 and the Wall of the channel section 7 results.
- Fig. 3 shows the same situation of the connector 1 of Fig. 2, but from a different direction: there is clear the gap between the channel section 7 and the strip 2 can be seen, this gap extending far along the strip 2 extends over the area of the bead 8.
- Fig. 4 shows two channel sections 7, in the front beads 8th a connecting piece 1 designed as an elbow with each one of two front ends 3 is attached.
- the strip 2 is for this purpose in two curved, angularly aligned Sections deformed, one section of each one Channel section 7 takes.
- Opposite the front ends 3 the strip 2 each has a rear end 4 on, this ends 4 in the form of two tabs 5 are configured, which in turn each have two clamping aids 6 in Have the shape of a hole.
- the tabs 5 are each around bent a nose 9 of the respective channel section 7, wherein the large, gentle bending radius is visible.
- the Tabs 5 can be completely bent under the respective nose 9 become.
- the connector 1 of FIG. 4 is in another Looking direction visible. It is clear that both of these provided for an outer corner connector 1 front ends 3 of the connector 1 dimensioned significantly shorter are as the rear ends 4. This allows alignment the channel sections 7 on the connector 1 or one Alignment of connector 1 between the two already laid gutter sections 7, even if the two gutter sections 7 not in the intended angular position of meet exactly 90 °.
- the wide rear ends 4 of the Connection piece 1 in any case enable a safe and permanent fixing of the connector on the two Channel sections 7 and thus a secure connection of the two channel sections 7 with each other.
- a similarly designed, provided as a corner connector Connector 1 for an arrangement in an inner corner may differ from that in FIGS. 4 and 5 illustrated embodiment may be provided that the rear The ends of such a connector are shorter are as its front ends.
- a gutter section 7 is a gutter referred to, similar to Fig. 1, but in a cross-sectional view.
- a connector 1 which is designed as a hook cladding is and a gutter hook only partially shown 11 covered.
- the gutter hook 11 is with his front, angled end shown, which is in the Interior of the bead 8 extends.
- the connector 7 covered this gutter hook 11 and has most of it its course has a U-shaped cross-section so that like especially broken off below and only partially gutter hook 11 shown can be seen with its Side surfaces 12 the gutter hook 11 almost completely and therefore almost invisible to the viewer covered.
- the front end 3 of the connector 1 is considerably wider bent as 90 ° and thus finds a secure hold on the inward bent end of the bead 8.
- Fig. 7 shows the opposite, rear end 4 of the hook cladding configured connector 1 of Fig. 6:
- This rear end 4 has two tabs 5, which are laterally outwards to the two side surfaces 12 of the connector 1 connect. Both tabs 5 point in a manner known per se and already described above, clamping aids 6 in the form from holes on. These tensioning aids enable a fixed system of the connector 1 at the rear end of the Channel section 7, i.e. on the nose 9.
- the hook cladding can be used advantageously, if older gutter hooks 11 when renovating a Gutter should remain in its installed state.
- tabs which are provided on the gutter hooks 11 can at the dismantling of the old gutter sections partly for reasons the embrittlement break off, so normally such old gutter hooks are no longer usable.
- Connection piece 1 Through the tabs 5 of the connector 1, however, it does Connection piece 1 the firm connection of the channel section 7 on the gutter hook 11, so that an older one Gutter hook, without own tab, continue without problems can be used.
