Abstract

A wood effect flooring panel has an upper thin wood layer applied to a thicker base of fibre board, soft wood or any other cost effective bulk support material such as MDF and HDF. The wood effect is enhanced by V-shaped grooves in the wood layer to simulate strip boarding. The edges of the panel have interlocking profiles for a snug fit while the edges of the wood layer are chamfered to continue the groove effect. The V-grooves have an angle of 70 to 90 deg. and a depth less than that of the wood layer. Typical dimensions of grooves have a width of 1 to 4 mm and a depth of 1.5 to 3 mm.

Description

The invention relates to a parquet or floor board with a veneer top layer or laminate panel with a core made of softwood, plywood, MDF, HDF or the like, with at least two side by side on a base plate lying board elements.

Parquet floors are mostly not made by laying individual boards or "Rods" are produced, but using base plates on which a plurality of boards or bars is combined. The same applies to floorboards with a veneer layer as a top layer on a carrier board. Combining several boards or bars into one unit makes it easier the laying and often also has advantages in terms of stability of the installed floor, however, can have the disadvantage that the construction of the floor is optically recognizable from larger floor slabs, so the floor is not like real parquet, e.g. from parquet sticks of 50 - 75 mm width, or more real Board flooring works. So-called laminate panels are also panels that have a surface appearance have the impression of two or three side by side Boards or sticks. However, with laminate panels this impression is not due to the use of real wood or veneer material achieved, but through a printed decor. Although these decors today deceptive the appearance of wooden or stone floors or other floors reproduce real, on closer inspection is the deception as such yet to be recognized.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a parquet, plank floor or Form laminate board, as described above, in such a way that it as close as possible to comparable "real" floors.

This problem is solved with a floor of the above type in that the longitudinal edges of the base plate are chamfered and that in of the dividing lines between the board elements a V-groove is.

In this way, the individual board elements or rods of the base plate act as if they were actually independent planks or bars, each have been relocated.

In general, the covering layer is, for example, between 0.1 mm in the case of floorboards with veneer or laminate and about 3.6 mm for parquet boards. Accordingly the width of the V-groove should be chosen so that the V-groove is not in the carrier plate penetrates, but remains within the cover layer. By nature, the depth of the V-groove also depends on the tip angle between Should be 70 and 90 °. Accordingly, the phase angle should be 35 to 45 ° and the width of the phases should equal half the width of the V-groove be so that the phases of two adjacent plates have the geometry of the V-groove correspond.

In the following, preferred exemplary embodiments are described with reference to the attached Drawing explained in more detail.

The single figure shows a cross section through a base plate according to the invention.

The base plate shown in the drawing consists of a carrier plate 10, the, such as common for parquet, made of softwood, but also made of plywood, MDF, HDF etc. can exist. The carrier plate 10 has on the left side of the Drawing a groove 12 and on the right side a tongue 14 with which neighboring panels can be connected. Instead of this simple tongue and groove connection modified tongue and groove connections can also be used that allow locking against horizontal separation of the plates and are known in many embodiments. On the support plate 10 is a top layer 16 is attached, in the case of parquet a real wood layer of for example> 2 mm, in particular 3.5 to 4.0 mm thick. With veneered floor panels, floor boards, the top layer is naturally much thinner veneer. This also applies to laminate floors. In in any case, the cover layer is formed from only two parallel strips, so that from the top the visual impression arises that two side by side lying boards or bars are present.

However, since the two adjacent bars have a smooth, coherent surface form, remains recognizable to the viewer that these are two rods is on a common carrier board, not a "real" parquet or floorboards.

According to the present invention, the individual rod character of the two rods on the carrier plate 10 is therefore emphasized in that a V-groove 18 is milled into the dividing line of the two rods, which is so deep that it remains within the cover layer 16 and not in the carrier plate 10 penetrates. In the illustrated embodiment, the V-groove has a tip angle of 80 °, for example. The angles of inclination of two phases 20, 22 are selected accordingly, the inclination of which corresponds to half the apex angle of the V-groove 18. Accordingly, the width of the phases 20, 22 is half the width b of the V-groove, so that the width of the phases is designated b / 2 in the drawing.

While a two-bar element is shown in the drawing, the invention can can also be applied to three-bar and more multi-bar elements.

The statement that the V-groove remains in the top layer and the carrier plate not cutting, will mainly refer to parquet that over have sufficient covering material. If the top layer of veneer or a laminate, the V-groove can possibly even into the Carrier plate can be pulled in. In this case, it is usually required be the cut surfaces of the cover layer and the carrier plate in a more suitable manner Colorize way.
