Definitions

  • the invention relates to a papermaking belt with itself transverse to the direction extending end edges and with Longitudinal threads that go to the end edges, the End edges connected to each other via a coupling device are, which have complementary coupling elements, which are connected to longitudinal threads and to which a Row of coupling members are attached, which are hinged connected to each other.
  • the paper machine belts will not work endless, but made in a certain length.
  • the front-side end edges are then before moving into the paper machine or only in the paper machine even connected by a seam.
  • plug wire seam prevailed.
  • At this seam are facing each other End edges of the band provided a plurality of coupling lugs, which are brought into overlap for closing that they mesh together like a comb and a formed in the strip transverse direction extending passageway becomes. In this passage then a coupling wire pushed in, the two end faces of the Bandes in the manner of a hinge connects.
  • the coupling eyes by U-shaped Clamps are formed, extending into the ends of the band clawing.
  • Sutures are referred to as clip seams (DE-A-2,256,244; US-A-4,344,209).
  • the coupling eyes respectively to form a U-shaped sheet metal part, wherein the legs each sheet metal part with the associated end face of the band are connected.
  • the sheet metal parts are a variety formed by cutouts, so that coupling protrusions arise with the coupling eyes.
  • connection of the coupling elements with the end edges the paper machine clothing is in the known solutions laborious and time consuming. Besides, it prepares Difficulty, all coupling eyes on the big one Width of paper machine clothing so in overlap too Bring that a coupling wire easily and without dodging can be inserted. This is especially true in the event that the end edges of the papermachine clothing first coupled with each other in the paper machine become.
  • the invention is therefore the object of the Coupling device in a paper machine clothing of the type mentioned above so that the connection the end edges of paper machine clothing easy and can be done in a time-saving manner.
  • the coupling element or (s) via connectors is connected to the longitudinal threads or are.
  • the basic idea of the invention is thus that with each other to form longitudinal threads and coupling elements to be connected in such a way that they can be put together. On this way is a quick coupling of the end edges of the Paper machine clothing possible. Turn over and weave back the longitudinal threads is not required.
  • the Plug connection can be made with all or only part of Longitudinal threads are produced.

In the latter case, everyone can End edge of several coupling strips arranged side by side be, with the coupling strips each only extend over part of the longitudinal threads and with these are connected. This can also go so far that in Width direction seen side by side a variety of complementary coupling elements are provided, the connect only the ends of a longitudinal thread.
  • the connectors can be of pins that with the Coupling elements are connected, in particular to them are formed, and complementary to the pins thread recesses be formed in the longitudinal threads, in the the pins are inserted. It is particularly advantageous if the pins have locking devices in the Recesses are kept so that they are made after production no longer loosen the connectors.

  • the longitudinal and transverse threads can be fused together at their crossing points or glued. The fusion happens by heat on the thermoplastic Plastic existing threads.
  • the thickness of the transverse threads should be on the side of the coupling elements correspond to the thickness of the coupling elements, optionally plus the thickness of the transverse thread between the coupling elements and longitudinal threads. To this It is avoided that the coupling elements protrude.
  • the coupling elements and -glieder be designed so that the permeability in Area of the coupling device equal to the permeability in the remaining area of papermachine clothing is. Fluctuations in the permeability of the papermaking belt namely have adverse consequences for the paper quality. To achieve a uniform permeability, should be the width of the transverse threads in the plane of the Paper tape equal to the extent of the coupling device in the longitudinal direction of the papermaking belt.
  • the coupling members are expediently as each other aligned coupling eyelets formed by the one Coupling wire preferably made of a plastic material.
