Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Brandschutzelement, insbesondere für Feuerschutztüren, bestehend aus zumindest einer Mineralwolle-, insbesondere Steinwolle-Dämmplatte mit zwei großen, im Abstand zueinander und parallel verlaufend angeordnet große Oberflächen, die über vier im wesentlichen rechtwinklig zu den großen Oberflächen und zueinander verlaufenden Seitenflächen verbunden sind, und aus zumindest einem wasserabspaltenden Brandschutzmaterial sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines derartigen Brandschutzelementes. Um die Herstellung solcher Brandschutzelemente zu vereinfachen und kostengünstiger zu gestalten, insbesondere ein solches Brandschutzelement zu schaffen, das sehr gute Brandschutzeigenschaften aufweist, in einfacher Weise an die Anforderungen des Einzelfalls anpassbar ist und insbesondere eine Durchfeuchtung der Dämmplatte vermeidet, ist vorgesehen, dass die Dämmplatte (2) zumindest einen, vorzugsweise mehrere zumindest einseitig offene Hohlräume (4) aufweist, in die Elemente (3) aus wasserabspaltendem Material eingesetzt sind.
