Claims (10)

  1. Procédé pour l'application par une machine d'une bande d'écartement élasto-plastique sur une plaque de verre destinée à être assemblée avec au moins une autre plaque de verre pour donner une unité de vitrage isolant, comprenant les étapes suivantes:
    - dévidage sans contraintes de traction de la bande à partir d'une bobine de réserve à une vitesse linéaire correspondant au moins, en moyenne, à la vitesse d'application,
    - acheminement sans contraintes de traction ni de poussée de la bande vers le point d'application,
    caractérisé en ce que
    - en vue de l'acheminement sans contraintes de traction ni de poussée vers le point d'application, la bande est amenée au moyen d'une première paire de rouleaux entraînés (11,13) d'un trajet de compensation (3) et amenée à l'extrémité de celui-ci au moyen d'une deuxième paire de rouleaux entraînés (91,92) vers le point d'application,
    - la vitesse de circonférence de la deuxième paire de rouleaux (91,92) est synchronisée avec la vitesse d'application, et
    - la longueur de bande dans le trajet de compensation (3) entre la première paire de rouleaux et la deuxième est déterminée et la vitesse de circonférence de la première paire de rouleaux (11,13) est régulée en fonction de celle-ci.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la longueur de bande dans le trajet de compensation (3) est déterminée au moyen d'au moins un capteur (21,22) réagissant à la position de la bande.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que la vitesse de circonférence de la première paire de rouleaux (11,13) est augmentée ou réduite en fonction de la position de la bande dans le trajet de compensation constatée au moyen du capteur (21,22) au nombre d'un au moins, de telle sorte que la bande reste sans tension au moins à proximité d'une position de consigne prédéterminée dans le trajet de compensation (3).
  4. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que la bande est soutenue au moins sensiblement sans flèche dans le trajet de compensation (3).
  5. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que la bande est guidée et soutenue dans le trajet de compensation (3) en formant un arc de cercle dont le rayon dépend de la différence de vitesse de circonférence entre la première paire de rouleaux et la deuxième.
  6. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que la bande est amenée au moyen d'une tête d'application pouvant pivoter autour d'un axe perpendiculaire au plan de la plaque de verre et la première paire de rouleaux (11,13) et tous les autres dispositifs de transport et de guidage de la bande sont disposés sur celle-ci.
  7. Dispositif pour l'application par une machine d'une bande d'écartement élasto-plastique sur une plaque de verre pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, avec
    - une paroi d'appui un peu inclinée par rapport à la verticale pour la plaque de verre,
    - au moins un transporteur horizontal au niveau du bord inférieur de la paroi d'appui,
    - un montant dans un plan parallèle au plan de la paroi d'appui,
    - une tête d'application mobile sur le montant entre le bord inférieur et le bord supérieur de la paroi d'appui et qui peut pivoter par pas autour d'un axe perpendiculaire au plan de la paroi d'appui,
    - des dispositifs pour amener la bande à partir d'un tambour de réserve et pour presser et découper la bande à des dimensions précises,
    - une commande de machine qui mesure, commande et surveille les mouvements des parties du dispositif et le transport de la bande,
    caractérisé en ce que
    - le dispositifs pour amener la bande comprennent au moins une première paire de rouleaux (11,13) avec un entraînement pouvant être régulé par la commande de machine, un trajet de compensation (3) avec des rouleaux d'appui (31,32,33) pour la bande, une deuxième paire de rouleaux (91,92) avec un entraînement pouvant être régulé par la commande de machine, la vitesse de circonférence de la deuxième paire de rouleaux (91,92) étant synchronisée avec la vitesse d'application, et au moins un capteur (21,22) pour la détection de la position de la bande dans le trajet de compensation (3), par lequel la longueur de bande dans le trajet de compensation (3) entre la première paire de rouleaux et la deuxième est déterminée et la vitesse de circonférence de la première paire de rouleaux (11,13) est régulée en fonction de celle-ci, de telle sorte que l'acheminement de la bande vers le point d'application se fasse sans contraintes de traction ni de poussée.
  8. Dispositif selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que le tambour de réserve possède un entraînement de dévidage pouvant être régulé par la commande de machine de manière synchrone avec la vitesse d'application.
  9. Dispositif selon la revendication 8 ou 9, caractérisé en ce que le trajet de compensation (3) comprend entre la première paire de rouleaux et la deuxième (11,13 ;91,92) au moins un guide en forme de fente (31,32,33) pour la bande, l'axe longitudinal de la fente de guidage étant sensiblement perpendiculaire au sens de transport de la bande et la largeur de la fente n'étant que légèrement supérieure à la largeur de la bande.
  10. Dispositif selon l'une quelconque des revendications 8 à 10, caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu au point d'application un levier pivotant (10c) qui soutient la bande près du point d'application, en particulier pendant le pivotement de la tête d'application.
