  • skis which are constituted by an elongated beam whose front end is raised to form the spatula, while the bottom surface includes a slip sole bordered by metal edges.
  • US Patent 5,447,322 discloses, in one of its embodiments, a ski track whose board is provided with a stiffener 2 whose branches 24, 25 identical and of small constant and circular cross section can be accommodated completely in complementary housing 14 formed on each edge side of the board.
  • the present invention provides multipurpose skis made up a base and at least one complementary element whose cooperation of forms, dimensions and structure, gives the whole of ski its necessary characteristics, as well of comfort as of ski driving.
  • the board for gliding on snow such as a ski, a monoski or a surf
  • the board for gliding on snow is of the type which includes a part the main body or base, to which is attached, at least in the zone of the pad, at least one complementary element, and is characterized in that that the additional element (s) are retained in a corresponding lateral clearance, which opens laterally to outside and up, while it does not open down.
  • the width and / or the height of the clearances is variable longitudinally, to be more important in the center of the ski, and to decrease towards the front and / or towards the back.
  • the lateral complementary element or elements are constituted by elongated profiles, which are advantageously of transverse cross-sectional dimension.
  • the base has its own distribution of thickness, coastline, width and stiffness, while according to the preferred embodiment, it comprises a rib longitudinally bordered by two lateral clearances, whose width is less than the width of the lower part.
  • the width and / or the height of the lateral elements complementary is longitudinally variable, to be more in the center of the ski, and decrease forwards and / or backwards.
  • the length of the elements Lateral supplements are between 30% and 60% of the length of the base, while their height is slightly greater than the height corresponding release.
  • a complementary characteristic to a base determined is a set of several complementary elements different sides, by their length, and / or their width, and / or their thickness, by their mechanical characteristics, by their structure, or their geometry.
  • calipers there are two calipers, a front caliper and a caliper rear, on which are fixed the fasteners for retaining the shoe of the user.
  • stirrups are connected to each other for to form a single stirrup.
  • the ski with the general reference (1) is a set of shapes lengthened with a vertical longitudinal plane (P) of symmetry general whose front is raised to form the spatula (8).
  • the ski (1) consists of a main part that we will call the body or base (2) to which are attached at least in the zone of the pad (4) at least one complementary element, and according to the mode preferred embodiment, two lateral complementary elements (3a, 3b).
  • the base (2) is the element in contact with the snow and has the shape an elongated beam having on its lower surface a sole of sliding (6) edged laterally by lateral edges (7a, 7b) metal.
  • the base (2) is an elongated beam whose front end is raised to form the spatula (8) of the ski.
  • This base (2) has its own distribution of thickness, coastline, width and stiffness and may to be of all types and constitutions.
  • the elongate beam constituting the base (2) can be of all types of designs such as those known to date as, for example, example, sandwich type, box type, or shell type, or still of the type associating shell and lateral fields, taken alone or in combination, or even mixed and consisting of a set of elements and components known in themselves.
  • FIG. 10 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a ski type associating a hull, and side fields.
  • the two complementary lateral elements (3a, 3b) are consisting of elongated profiles, the section of which in a section transverse is advantageously progressive, in its dimensions and / or in its forms.
  • each of the complementary elements lateral (3a, 3b) has its own configuration and structure. He has his own distribution of thickness, width and stiffness and can be of all types of constructions.
  • said complementary elements (3a, 3b) can be formed by a monobloc element made in one and the same material. But it can be of an entirely different design as, for example, example, formed by a profile having substantially the shape of a tube comprising an outer wall made for example of material composite, the central part of which is empty or filled with a filling, like a synthetic foam.
  • each of the complementary lateral elements (3a, 3b) is a profile whose section decreases forward (AV) and backward (AR), in width and thickness.
  • the base (2) comprises lateral releases (5a, 5b) in each of which is fixed one of the corresponding lateral complementary elements (3a, 3b). So the base (2) comprises a left lateral clearance (5a) in which is fixed the left lateral complementary element (3a), and a lateral clearance right (5b) in which is fixed the right lateral complementary element (3b).
  • each of the side clearances is of shape partially complementary to receive the complementary element lateral (3a, 3b) corresponding.
  • width (L1) of the clearances is advantageously variable longitudinally, to be wider at the center of the ski, and decrease forward (AV) and / or backward (AR).
  • the height (H1) of the clearances (5a, 5b) is advantageously variable longitudinally, to be more important in the center of the ski, and decrease forwards (AV) and / or backward (AR).
  • the height (H2) of the profile of each of the complementary lateral elements (3a, 3b) is slightly greater than the height (H1) of the corresponding clearance (5a, 5b).
  • the width (L2) of the complementary elements (3a, 3b) is advantageously longitudinally variable, to be wider at center of the ski, and decrease forwards (AV) and / or towards the rear (AR), while their height (H2) is also advantageously variable longitudinally, to be more important in the center of the ski, and to decrease forward (AV) and / or rearward (AR).
  • the length (L3) of the elements lateral complementaries (3a, 3b) can be between 30% and 60% of the length (L4) of the base (2).
  • the length (L3) of the elements may have, for example, a length between 50 and 100 centimeters.
  • the two complementary lateral elements (3a, 3b) have advantageously the same length, but may have lengths different.
  • each element can be as illustrated, but may be square, round, rectangular Or other. Note also that the shape of the section can be scalable and vary longitudinally.
  • a base (2) can match a set of several complementary side elements (3a, 3b-3'a, 3'b-3 "a, 3" b).
  • a specific base (2) can correspond several complementary elements of different lengths (L3, L'3, L "3), and, for example, three complementary length elements different, as shown in Figure 7.
  • a base determined (2) can correspond several complementary elements of different thicknesses.
  • a specific base (2) can also correspond, several complementary elements of different mechanical characteristics, intended to confer on the ski (1) constituted by the base (2) and its complementary elements (3a, 3b) characteristics of different behaviors. The different characteristics can be obtained by different thicknesses of complementary elements, or by a different structure, or even different materials, or even a different geometry.
  • Fixing the complementary elements (3a, 3b) on the base (2) is done, of course, by setting up and fixing in the housing corresponding (5a, 5b), this connection can be made, for example, by gluing, welding.
  • This connection (9) can be performed over the entire surface of the complementary element (3) common with its housing, like this is illustrated in FIG. 8, or this link (9a, 9b) can be realized only on only a part of the surface as, for example, in areas of front portion (13) and rear (14), as shown in FIG. 9.
  • connection of the elements (3a, 3b) on the base (2) is mechanically carried out as, for example, by protruding recess (15) in holes corresponding (16), as shown in Figure 10.
  • the thickness of the complementary elements (3a, 3b) can be constant or variable.
  • FIGS 11 and 12 illustrate how can be set ski bindings (9a, 9b) for retaining the skier's boot.
  • it is, for example, provided two brackets, front (10a) rear (10b), on which the fasteners (9a, 9b) are fixed, said stirrups being fixed on the complementary side elements.
  • the stirrup can be fixed on the lateral complementary elements (3a, 3b) by any known means, collage, screws, etc ....
  • Fasteners (9a, 9b) may not be attached to a stirrup intermediary, such as the stirrups previously described, but be attached to lateral complementary elements (3a, 3b) or, of course, on the base (2).
  • FIG. 13 is a view similar to FIG. variant embodiment in which the two stirrups (10a, 10b) are connected to one another to form a single stirrup (10).
  • Figures 14, 15, and 16 are perspective views showing three variants, according to which elements of deformation and damping (20a, 20'a, 20b, 20'b, 20c, 20'c, 20d, 20'd) in the complementary elements (3a, 3b).
