Nachteilig an diesen Schnellwechslern ist die aufwendige Bauweise der Hydraulikkupplungsorgane, welche auf die bewegbaren Schnellwechslerverriegelungsteile angebracht sind. Die Hydraulikkupplungsorgane sind bei dieser Anbauweise, durch Baustellenschmutz und äußeren Beschädigungen in ihrer Funktion gefährdet. Die Probleme des Verkanntens und Verklemmens während des Ver- und Entriegelungvorganges durch die paralell aufgebauten und verlaufenden Bewegungen sind nachteilig. Baustellenschmutz, der sich hauptsächlich auf den Hydraulikkupplungsorganen der Anbaugeräte absetzt kann beim Kuppeln derselben in das Hydrauliksystem der Arbeitsmaschine gelangen und zu Pumpenschäden führen.

Die Form und der Anbringungsplatz der Verriegelungsteile im Schnellwechsler sind beliebig. Die Hydraulikkupplungsorgane des Schnellwechslers und der Anbaugeräte können fix, elastisch oder gefedert gelagert sein. Die Gegenkupplungsorgane können auch ohne Federkraftlagerung, fix oder flexibel gelagert sein. Die Hydraulikverbindung ist somit sicher geschlossen. Durch die innenliegende Bauweise der Hydraulikkupplungsorgane ist eine äußere Beschädigungsgefahr minimiert und ein zentriertes Zusammenfahren gewährleistet. In der Regel reichen bei einem Lader ein Zufluß 17 und ein Abfluß 16 für eine hydraulische Arbeitsfunktion des Anbaugerätes.
