Definitions
- the present invention relates to an article for use for decorative purposes on the skin, particularly on the face, or on any other part of the body.
- Such decorative articles can be used in addition to makeup obtained with conventional cosmetics, especially on the lips, cheeks or eyes.
- Such decorative items can be used in the manner of a fly, or be made of a pattern, including a rose or other figurine.
- Such articles are known. They generally comprise a support material of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or non-woven high density, one side is flocked and the other has an adhesive for fixing the article on the skin.
- PVC polyvinyl chloride
- the flocking is carried out by coating the flocking surface with an adhesive, and depositing the fibers of the flocking material by an electrostatic process. Such a process results in an orientation of the fibers substantially perpendicular to the plane of the surface to be flocked.
- the use of a material impervious in particular to the glue used for flocking is made mandatory by the fact that, failing to use such an impermeable material, the flocking glue, would pass through the support, and would be able to dissolve at least part of the glue of the adhesive side to the point of no longer ensure good cohesion between the adhesive side and the protective film.
- This necessary impermeability of the support results in a low elasticity and a certain rigidity of the decorative article, which rigidity is clearly detrimental to the comfort of the one (or the one) on which (or which) the decorative article is applied. Indeed, this rigidity is reflected in a relatively large resistance of the object to conform to the contours of the face or the part of the body on which is affixed the object.
- the low elasticity results in a relatively large resistance of the object to deform longitudinally, and therefore to accompany the longitudinal deformations of the skin during movements of the face or the part of the body on which is affixed the object .
- This feeling of discomfort is further increased by a "weight" not negligible of the decorative article, due to the high density of the support (typically greater than 100 g / m 2 ).
- the problem relating to such rigidity does not arise when, as in FR-A-2 221 925, the article is intended primarily to be applied to a garment or any other object.
- the material forming the support is a woven or a nonwoven.
- the article is applied by means of an iron, which requires support that it has a certain density, otherwise it will not withstand the temperatures required for the fusing. With such a density, the support is impervious to the flocking glue. The resulting article is of limited flexibility and elasticity.
- a decorative article intended to be applied to the skin comprising a flexible support whose first face is flocked with a glue, a second face, opposite to the first being coated with a self-adhesive layer, one face opposite the support is intended to be brought into contact with the skin.
- the support is permeable to the adhesive used for flocking said first face.
- This permeability results not only from the choice of material, but also from the configuration of the support.
- the support is made of a nonwoven material, it is necessary to choose a sufficiently low density to allow the required permeability.
- the flexible support is a nonwoven whose density is between 50 g / m 2 and 100 g / m 2 , and preferably between 60 g / m 2 and 90 g / m 2 .
- a nonwoven based on cellulose and / or polyester whose density is about 80 g / m 2 is used .
- the synthetic fibers forming the support have a homogeneous distribution and are strongly bonded together by a synthetic polymer ensuring the holding of the support during its coating by the aqueous emulsion for bonding the floc.
- the thickness of the support may be between 0.1 mm and 0.8 mm, and preferably between 0.15 mm and 0.40 mm, and more preferably between 0.15 mm and 0.3 mm, and more preferably, may be of the order of 0.2 mm.
- said face of the adhesive layer, opposite the support, prior to the application of the article on the skin is covered with a removable protective film.
- a protective film may in particular be made of silicone paper.
- the flocking may consist of cotton fibers, rayon, polyamide or viscose or a mixture of such materials. Still other materials can be used.
- the fibers are uniformly distributed over the bonded surface of the support, and are implanted by an electrostatic process. After implantation in the resin, the fibers are fixed by drying and polymerization. The amount of fiber per unit area may be in the range of 30 to 45 g / m 2 .
- the glue intended for flocking may be based on polyacrylic or polyvinyl resin. More specifically, a resin of the family of acrylic esters in aqueous dispersion is used. As an indication, the resin is deposited in an amount, dry matter between 50 and 90 g / m 2 .
- the adhesive layer comprises a hypoallergenic glue, as used for the manufacture of adhesive layers used in the medical field.
- a glue sold under the trade name TIVOCOLL® 4771/04 is used by SIKA TIVOLI FRANCE.
- the adhesive can be deposited at a density of 60 to 80 g / m2. From a practical point of view, the adhesive is preferably deposited on a non-stick support, silicone paper type and then thermally fixed, and applied by contact and pressure on the opposite side of the support flocking.
- the total thickness of the decorative article according to the invention may be between 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm, and preferably between 0.5 and 0.7 mm, such than measured under a weight of 15 g / cm 2 .
- the total weight of the decorative article thus manufactured can be between 200 and 300 g / m 2 .
- a set of decorative articles comprising a protective film on which is disposed a plurality of decorative articles according to the invention.
- Such an assembly may be in the form of a rectangular sheet of about 10 cm 2 on which is disposed a plurality of decorative patterns, regularly spaced.
- the decorative patterns of the set may be the same or different.
- Such patterns may be in particular in the form of small discs of a few millimeters in diameter, so as to form flies to be applied to the face.
- the adhesive layer is neutralized at least in certain locations outside said decorative articles.
- the adhesive layer is neutralized at least in certain locations outside said decorative articles.
- This neutralization step preferably occurs before the cutting operation.
- the glue can be applied only in certain places, in a pattern chosen according to the arrangement of the decorative articles, so as to dispense with this step of neutralization.
- This neutralization can be achieved by applying to the required locations, an appropriate composition, including a varnish.
- an appropriate composition including a varnish.
- a neutralizing varnish marketed by the company Akzo is applied.
- one or more strips of a material are interposed at the desired locations, between the flocked support and the protective film.
- the assembly 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a sheet of silicone paper 2 whose density is 80 g / m 2 .
- the sheet 2 is rectangular and its surface is about 10 cm 2.
- Such decorative articles are configured in the form of small discs of brown or black color, and whose diameter is of the order of 3 to 4 mm.
- each decorative article 10 comprises a support 11 made of non-woven fabric based on polyester and cellulose. Its thickness is of the order of 0.2 mm.

- the face of the adhesive layer 15, opposite to the support 11, is in contact with the sheet of silicone paper 2.
- the user takes off the paper 2, the (or) article (s) 10 it wants to apply, and applies it, by simply pressing the required location.
- FIGs 3-6 which are now referred to illustrate the main steps of manufacturing an assembly as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

Description
- i) floquer une première face d'une feuille d'un support, au moyen de fibres fixées à ladite première face en utilisant une colle à laquelle le support est perméable ;
