Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a semi-rigid tongue for a sports shoe with a high upper, in particular a sliding sports shoe, and more particularly a shoe for practicing snowboarding, comprising a reinforcement extending from the top of the foot. above the ankle.
  • the first ski boots made of leather, were relatively flexible. They offered good comfort. In order to ensure a good transmission of the forces between the foot and the ski, that is to say to reduce the deformation capacity of the boot, the sole and the upper of the boot have become more and more rigid, becoming consequently less and less comfortable. With the appearance of plastic shoes fitted with a comfort liner, the shoes and therefore the uppers and the tongues have become particularly rigid. To do this, the tabs have a reinforcement. For a number of years, we have been seeking to improve the comfort of ski boots, in particular we seek to improve the comfort of the tongues.
  • a request is known from WO 01/49142, a surf shoe having a tongue provided with a reinforcement having different rigidities along different flexion axes on either side of the tibia, thus making it possible to take into account the different roles that play the leg bends outward or inward.
  • a tongue of a surf shoe having a reinforcement fixed to only one of its ends. The other end can move in a housing provided on the tongue. This mode of connection of the reinforcement to the tongue makes it possible to suppress the fold that the tongue makes during the bending of the leg which results in compression in the area of the instep.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a tongue for a sports shoe with a high upper, in particular a sliding sports shoe which overcomes this drawback.
  • the invention proposes to produce a tongue for a shoe with which, there is no painful compression line on the tibia at the top of the tongue.
  • bending stiffness is meant the ratio between the bending moment applied to the tongue and the deformation of the tongue induced by this bending moment during the bending of the skier's leg. This deformation is defined relative to the shape that the tongue occupies at rest.
  • the tongue according to the invention is characterized in that it has, at the top of its upper part in the center, a zone of bending stiffness less than the bending stiffness of the rest of the tongue and in that the reinforcement comprises a central element and two side elements working together. Thanks to such an architecture of the reinforcement, most of the efforts of the tongue on the leg are taken up by the lateral elements exerting pressure on the leg on either side of the tibia and thus avoiding discomfort felt by the user which would be due to pressure of the tongue on the tibia.
  • the reinforcement has at the instep an area of flexural rigidity greater than the flexural rigidity of the rest of the reinforcement.
  • the tongue deforms little at this location preventing the fold of the tongue causing a painful pressure zone.
  • the central reinforcement has the form of a relatively flexible known tongue extending substantially lower than the finished tongue. It can be less rigid than the side elements.
  • the areas of different flexural stiffnesses are obtained by varying the thickness of the reinforcement and / or by using different materials.
  • the variations in the thickness of the reinforcement make it possible to vary the quadratic moment of the reinforcement or of its elements. It is also possible to use materials of different elastic moduli to vary the bending stiffness of the reinforcement or of its elements.
  • the two lateral elements are sufficiently rigid and have a tight shape, at the instep to serve as reinforcement for the flexible tongue, and spread apart on the top to avoid the pressure of a rigid element on the tibia while presenting good support on each side and in the center thanks to the cooperation of the two rigid lateral elements and of the central element.
  • This central element in fact prevents the lateral elements from moving away from each other, forcing them to flex.
  • the lateral reinforcing elements may have, at the instep, an S-shape such that these lateral elements approach one another on the central element.
  • the central element and the lateral elements may consist of the same part.
  • the reinforcement can be fixed on the external face of the tongue or in the tongue.
  • the reinforcement consists of several elements
  • these different elements can be fixed on the external face of the tongue and / or in the tongue.
  • the reinforcement or the various elements constituting it are preferably sewn or glued to the tongue or in the tongue.
  • Figure 1 is a developed view of a tab according to the invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a developed view, in longitudinal section of the tongue according to the plane III-III of FIG. 1.
  • Figure 3 is a developed view of the central element of the reinforcement.
  • Figure 4 is a plan view of a side member of the reinforcement.
  • Figure 5 is a perspective view of a shoe provided with a tongue according to the invention.
  • the tongue 10 shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a reinforcement consisting of a central element 2 and two lateral elements 1.
  • the internal face of the tongue 10, being in contact with the sock of the user, consists of a foam 4 covered with a knit 5.
  • the outer face of the tongue 10 is covered with a knitted fabric 3 covering the central element 2 of the reinforcement and the foam 4 on which it is glued or sewn.
  • a seam 11 links the knit 3 to the foam 4 around the central element 2.
  • the side elements 1 of the reinforcement are glued or sewn.
  • Other layers of material for example a layer of impermeable material, can be added to perform various functions.
  • This tongue 10 is intended to equip a surf shoe 8 as shown in Figure 5. It comes to close the lacing notch whose function is to allow to adapt the shoe to the foot of the user.
  • the various elements 1, 2 shown in Figures 3 and 4 and constituting the reinforcement are made of plastic.
  • the central element 2 of the reinforcement comes substantially to the bottom of the tongue and stops substantially before the top of the tongue 10. It has in the area of the instep 6 a reduced section.
  • the lateral elements 1 fixed on either side of the central element 2 extend from the middle of the lower part of the tongue to the top of the tongue. In the region of the instep, these lateral elements have an S shape so as to approach one another, which has the effect of reducing the flexibility of the tongue at the level of the instep. -foot.
  • the tongue has no reinforcement at the top of its upper part, in the center.
  • a zone 9 is provided with a flexural rigidity lower than the flexural rigidity of the rest of the tongue 10 and pressure, source of discomfort, of the tongue on the user's tibia is avoided.
  • the tongue therefore has in the region of the instep, a zone of flexural rigidity greater than the flexural rigidity of the rest of the reinforcement obtained by the cooperation of the section of the central element 2 and of the particular shapes 7 lateral reinforcement elements 1.
