Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine mit mindestens zwei Zylinderbankreihen (2, 3), deren Zylinderköpfe (7, 8) durch Zylinderkopfdeckel (16), 18) abgeschlossen sind, wobei zur Kurbelgehäuseentlüftung der sog. Blow-By-Gase an den Zylinderkopfdeckeln Entlüftungsleitungen (34) angeschlossen sind, die mit einer Unterdruckquelle, z. B. einem Saugrohr, verbunden sind, und dass auf der Innenseite der Zylinderkopfdeckel Mittel zum Vorabscheiden von Öl aus den Blow-By-Gasen vorgesehen sind. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass als Teil der Kurbelgehäuseentlüftung in den Zylinderkopfdeckeln (16, 18) jeweils eine mit einer Ein- und Austrittsöffnung (28, 30, 32, 38) versehene Ölabscheidekammer (20, 22) vorgesehen ist, wobei die Ölabscheidekammern (20, 22) über ihre Eintrittsöffnungen (28, 30) mit dem jeweiligen Nockenwellenraum (17) in Verbindung stehen. Damit wird eine zuverlässige Kurbelgehäuseentlüftung erreicht, bei der bereits im Zylinderkopfdeckel ein Teil des durch die Blow-By-Gase mitgerissenen Öls in die Nockenwellenräume zurückführbar ist.
