von Fig.5 zu sehen ist, in welcher die Gehäuse-Halbschale 1 ohne
Steckerleiste 14 dargestellt ist. Falls nun die Ringdichtung 4 trotz der
auf sie wirkenden Vorspannkraft aufgrund von Schwingungen dazu
tendieren sollte, in einer Ebene senkrecht zur Vorspannrichtung auszuwandern,
so wird sie durch die Anschlagflächen 34, 36 in ihrer Position

Claims (6)
- Device for preventing the drift of a seal (4) in a vibrating environment, which seal is held between two components (14, 1) fixed in relation to each other with the aid of clamping means (18, 26), the device containing two components (1, 14), the clamping means (18, 26) and a seal, and the two components comprising an edge connector (14) and a housing half-shell (1) for a motor-vehicle clutch adjuster, the device comprising stop surfaces (34, 36) for the seal (4), which stop surfaces act in a plane essentially perpendicularly to the prestressing direction and are at least partially formed on the clamping means (18, 26), the edge connector (14) being held parallel to an edge of the housing half-shell (1) at which a roof wall (8), which is provided with an opening (6) for an edge-connector head (12), butts against a side wall (16) running perpendicularly to the said opening, the seal comprising an annular seal (4) which encloses the edge-connector head (12) and is clamped between an offset (10) of the edge connector (14) and an inner circumferential edge of the opening (6) of the roof wall (8) of the housing half-shell (1), characterized in that the clamping means comprise at least one plug-in wedge (26) which is supported on the housing half-shell (1), tapers in a wedge-shaped manner towards its free end and can be inserted in such a manner into an opening (28) of the edge connector (14), which opening extends transversely with respect to the prestressing direction, that the larger the plug-in depth is, the greater is the prestressing force which can be exerted on the edge connector (14) and the annular seal (4).
- Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that a desired prestressing force is achieved if the plug-in wedge (26) is situated in an end position in which a stop collar (30) of the plug-in wedge (26) strikes against an edge of the opening (28) of the edge connector (14).
- Device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the plug-in wedge (36) projects away from one of the side surfaces, facing the edge connector (14), of a clamping clip (18) which is supported on the housing half-shell (1) counter to the action of the prestressing force by the fact that a respective retaining pin (20) is provided at both of its ends, the said retaining pin, on the one hand, being guided in a groove (24) formed in the edge connector (14) and, on the other hand, being fixed by a respective hook (22) protruding downwards from the roof wall (8) of the housing half-shell (1).
- Device according to Claim 3, characterized in that the edge connector (14) is held on the side wall (16) of the housing half-shell (1) in a direction transversely with respect to the prestressing direction by means of the clamping clip (18) placed onto it.
- Device according to Claim 4, characterized in that the stop surfaces, on the one hand, include stop strips (34) which are integrally formed on the clamping clip (18), are arranged at a distance one behind another along its longitudinal extent and make contact with an outer circumferential surface of the annular seal (4) or lie opposite the latter at a small distance.
- Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the stop surfaces, on the other hand, comprise supporting ribs (36) which are formed on the side wall (16) of the housing half-shell (1) and are arranged at a distance and in alignment one behind another parallel to the edge connector (14).
