Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for disinfecting the piping of whirlpools, which are equipped with a piping system for water, and / or a piping system for air.

Whirlpools enjoy a great popularity, as they allow not only a cleansing but also a relaxation of the body. The relaxation is achieved by the Whirpooldüsen flows through the mixed with air water under increased pressure in the bath while doing a pleasant, light body massage. In this case, the piping system can only be charged with water and the admixture of air by means of Venturi nozzles done. The injection of air into the tub also gives the desired massage effect.

In addition to the pleasant side, there is also a problematic side to a whirlpool and this concerns the cleaning of the piping system after using the whirlpool. To guide the water and the air in a whirlpool usually two separate circuits, each with a circulation system, several pipes and manifolds provided. This branched pipe system is generally not accessible from the outside or difficult to access, cleaning and disinfecting the pipes sometimes therefore only conditionally possible. If you realize that the more or less polluted in the pipes bath water is circulated, the wiring is sometimes chosen so that even after draining the bath water residual water remains in the pipes and the humid climate in the pipes an ideal breeding ground For Disease germs is recognized, the high priority, which belongs to the cleaning of the piping system.

According to the prior art, this problem is partly solved by adding a disinfecting solution to the bathwater after the bath has been completed and circulating this mixture several times in the piping system. Although this method is widely used, it has significant shortcomings. The disadvantages are that
  • a mixture of hot water and disinfectant is circulated, the disinfecting effect is therefore only comparatively low
  • Dirty the pipes by the permanent management of industrial water and thereby increase the risk of infection
  • Residual water can remain in parts of the line
  • the lines for guiding the air from the disinfecting solution can not be reached.

In another method according to the prior art is provided to drain the bath water after completion of the bath and rinse the lines with fresh water. But even here, a cleaning can only be done in the parts of the pipe system, which are reached by the rinse water. The lines for the air duct system therefore evade even with this method of cleaning.

It is also common to use both methods together to clean the piping system. However, it goes without saying that the two methods this common disadvantages are not resolved naturally. become. In addition, this method requires a high workload and is therefore to be regarded as disadvantageous from this point of view.

For the disinfection of hot tubs is from the US 5,368,651 the admission of the pipeline system with water vapor known. The use of disinfectants is not provided because the destruction of the germs is due to the high temperature of the water vapor.
From the EP 0 519 572 we proposed to clean the piping system using flushing that takes place in two hours. In the first stage of the rinsing liquid is added to a descaling agent and in the second stage, a disinfectant.
Another method of disinfection is the DE 43 06 782 Removable, in which it is provided that the piping system to apply hot air to make in this way a drying of the piping system to the germs thereby escape the rationale.

Against this background, the invention has the task of providing a method and apparatus for disinfecting the pipes of whirlpools, which avoid the disadvantages mentioned and ensure not only effective disinfection of the water-bearing, but also the air-conducting piping system.

From a procedural point of view, this object is achieved by a method with the following method steps:
  • if necessary, filling a storage container (14) with a disinfectant (15),
  • Emptying the water from the piping system (3)
  • Removing the disinfectant (15) from the reservoir (14)
  • with simultaneous or subsequent atomization of the disinfectant (15), apply
  • of the pipeline system for water (2)
  • and / or the piping system for air (3) with the mist,
  • the atomization is carried out using a suction nozzle, preferably a Venturi nozzle (12),
    • which flows through under elevated pressure gas, preferably compressed air,
    • wherein the disinfectant (15) is sucked and added to the gas stream as a mist and
  • the elevated pressure gas is taken from a pressure vessel (16),
  • which is connected on the input side (21) to a compressor.

In a proposed method, as in a known method according to the prior art, the bathing water is first drained. Subsequently, a present in liquid form disinfectant is sprayed with suitable devices known per se and applied to the piping system of the whirlpool with the formed mist. In this case, the mist is preferably added to an air stream and the air flow is directed into the corresponding pipelines.

According to a central idea of the invention, the use of a disinfectant in the fog-like state - or after evaporation of the mist in the gaseous state - opens up the possibility of reaching all angles and corners of the conduit system and thus effectively disinfecting all elements of the whirlpool system. The proposed method is used equally for disinfecting the water and the air-conducting system. After application, the disinfectant is effective at all Interior walls down and remains there as a film. It thus ensures a disinfection of the pipe system after bathing and reliably prevents its contamination.

The nebulization of the disinfectant can be done in principle in different ways. According to the present invention, it is proposed to carry out the atomization using a suction nozzle, preferably a venturi, through which gas under elevated pressure flows. In this process, the disinfectant is sucked into the suction line of the nozzle and added as a mist to the gas stream, which is passed through the pipeline system in the further course. As a result, the atomization of the disinfectant by means of Venturi nozzle and compressed gas with very simple means allows a very effective atomization.

To operate the Venturi nozzle, it is advisable to use compressed air, which is taken from a pressure vessel, which in turn is connected to the input side of a compressor. The opening of the pressure vessel causes a brief impact of the pipeline system with a puff of air, which is particularly suitable for the removal of residual water.

As a result, the disadvantages of known methods avoided by the proposed method, the inventive method also allows effective disinfection of all elements of the water and air-bearing system of a hot tub.

In an advantageous development of the method according to the invention, it is provided to carry out a further step between the second and third method step, in which the pipeline system for water is exposed to dry air. In order to two objectives are achieved in an advantageous manner at the same time: on the one hand, any residual water remaining in the pipeline system is possibly blown out of the pipelines and, on the other hand, the inner walls of the pipes are dried. The latter process means that the microbe-friendly climate in the interior of the tubes an essential basis - the moisture - is removed and the applied on the inner walls disinfectant can thus exert its effect reinforced.

It is recommended to apply dry air to both the piping system for water and air. This ensures that the entire system has dry surfaces inside it, thus preventing diffusion of moisture from one system to another through the interconnections existing between the two systems.

Furthermore, shut-off valves 18-20 and a line 21 leading to the inlet side of the compressed air tank 16 are provided, via which the compressed air tank is connected to a compressor (not shown).

To disinfect the pipe system, the two shut-off valves 18 and 19 are opened after draining the bath water. As a result, both the water-bearing 5-8, as well as the air-conducting system 8 - 11 made the disinfection available. The Disinfection is initiated by opening the valve 20 which controls the supply of air from the pressure vessel 16 to the venturi 12. The gas flowing into the nozzle 12 sucks in disinfectant 15 via the suction line 13 and atomizes it as it enters the nozzle. The disinfectant-enriched air then penetrates the piping system of the spa, whereby the disinfectant is deposited on the inner walls of the pipelines and thus ensures a reliable disinfection of all elements of the piping system.
