Definitions
- the invention relates to an armored vehicle, which is composed of the usual parts such as drive motor, gearboxes, wheelsets or track drive, a crew room and a housing that houses all inputs and attachments.
- a rifle fighting vehicle for example, transported by the vehicle several soldiers who can quickly get out or sit on a tailgate.
- the armored transport vehicle abbreviated GTK
- the vehicle is divided into modules and a so-called mission module (2) interchangeably housed on the chassis or driving module (1).
- Various armaments and equipment can then be carried alternately as a module interchangeably on the vehicle.
- an air-loadable armored vehicle is constructed from a chassis and arranged thereon a plurality of housing parts, wherein a housing part consists of a chassis-fixed lower part and a movable upper part, which can be inserted vertically in air transport to reduce the vehicle volume.
- a convertible military wheeled vehicle with separable modules which consists of a basic housing for receiving the vehicle components and a diesel-mechanical a diesel-electric drive can be converted with advantages for the overall height and design of the vehicle.
- the driving module (1) on the one hand only on its own is limited and ready to drive, but on the other hand, the mission module (2) only in conjunction with the driving module is functional and together with the driving module forms the fully functional vehicle, it is required under certain conditions and useful in addition to the driving module to make the mission module on its own.
- the object of the invention is in a transport vehicle, which is formed from the modules driving module (1) and mission module (2) to make the patched mission module autonomously operable for use in the separated from the driving module separate state.
- a supply unit is designed such that it can be used as an intermediate piece or door device in the open passage between the driving module and the mission module, the mission module then being removed from the driving module.
- an energy generator or APU Auxiliary Power Unit
- the supply unit can be transported as a compact unit separately on other transport vehicles and can be used for all different mission modules.
- the remote from the driving module mission module can be operated autonomously for themselves. This is especially important for the repair, in which all functions are to be checked without the driving module. It is also conceivable that the mission module in remote operation even performs mission tasks with the aid of the supply unit.
- the power supply interface of the mission module is completely covered by the supply unit.
- a data processing node (vehicle bus or CAN bus) is also integrated in the supply unit.
- the supply unit can also simulate fault events or energy consumers for test purposes. When attaching the supply unit, this can be used as a door to the driver's station or vice versa as a door to the mission module.
- a rear-view camera could also be integrated in the supply unit, so that, for example, there is a back view if the mission module is not mounted on the drive module. By means of program software different mission modules for the driving module can be simulated.
- Figure 1 shows a known base vehicle or driving module 1 with a wheeled chassis and a top mounted mission module 2.
- the mission module contains specific equipment for a task or mission and it is removable, replaceably mounted so that mission vehicles can be used to equip specific vehicles, all of them have an identical base vehicle or driving module.
- FIG. 2 shows a driving module 1, in which the mission module 2 is removed. Instead, a small supply module 4 is used at the interface to the mission module.
- a small supply module 4 is used at the interface to the mission module.
- the passage on the side of the driving module which otherwise makes the connection between the driving and mission module, sealed gas-tight by means of supply module 4.
- additional, for example, electrical interfaces are occasionally connected by means of the supply module and appropriately wired up.
- the supply module 3 is completely connected to the remote mission module 2, so that all interfaces of the mission module 2 are operated.
- the mission module is powered by the driving module with electrical energy.
- the supply unit in conjunction with the drive module or the mission module, allows case by case the autonomous operation of both the drive module and the mission module.
- a limited operation of the driving module without mission module is improved by a purely auxiliary driving operation to a fully operational operation without mission module, which is then not needed or alternatively can be simulated by the power supply module.
- the mission module which can represent no functional operation without driving module, since for example the power supply is not available, enabled by the supply unit to full operation.
- This can be very useful with, for example, a remote mission module as a command post in the field or as a medical module.
- the driving module can then afford other services such as supply trips.
