Definitions
- Thermal post-combustion devices like regenerative post-combustion devices, are used to clean industrial exhaust gases that contain combustible substances. Regenerative post-combustion devices are primarily used where the cleaned gases are to be fed directly to a chimney at the lowest possible temperature and the energy efficiency is to be as good as possible that the combustion process takes place without the supply of external energy. This takes place through a relatively complex heat exchange between the supplied exhaust air and the removed, cleaned combustion air.
- thermal post-combustion devices against it for the combustion of the contaminants carried in the exhaust air a so-called "surface burner", the external energy is supplied in the form of fuel.
- These surface burners work without a fan and remove it for combustion required oxygen from the exhaust air to be cleaned, which is fed under pressure.
- thermal afterburners generally have a heat exchanger in which heat is extracted from the combustion gases will, so that they flow out at a lower temperature; the heat is partly supplied to the exhaust air to be cleaned, so that this with a preheating in the actual Combustion process occurs.
- a thermal post-combustion device process heat for another heat consumer that runs in close proximity Process removed, e.g. B. for heating purposes.
- thermal afterburners known from the market The burner has the type mentioned at the beginning only a single flame tube over which the to treating exhaust air introduced into the combustion chamber and introduced into the flame generated by the burner nozzle becomes. Because hot and cold air is very bad mixing is in these known thermal afterburners the complete combustion of all Contamination despite the use of air swirling devices difficult, so that higher flame temperatures must be used. This is with a triple Disadvantage connected: On the one hand, there is energy consumption high. Secondly, the use of materials in the Device required to withstand higher temperatures, and finally arise from the high flame temperature more unwanted nitrogen oxides.
- the object of the present invention is a thermal Afterburning device to design such that a complete one even at lower flame temperatures Combustion of contaminants in the exhaust air takes place.
- the design of the burner according to the invention enables a circulation flow within the combustion chamber itself through the gap between the first flame tube and further flame tube and through the suction effect is supported by the one passing through the inner flame tube Causes gas flow.
- the exhaust air to be treated thus does not pass through the combustion chamber in one Passage but is possibly repeated several times by the flame out of the burner nozzle before finally entering the combustion chamber leaves towards the heat exchanger.
- By the circulation flow is achieved several things: it finds better air turbulence and thus mixing cold and warm air flows instead of what the combustion improved.
- the entire combustion chamber is in all areas evenly heated. Through the multiple passage of the Combustion gases through the flame become a complete one Combustion guaranteed. Overall, it is possible without endangering complete combustion, the flame temperature to reduce. This results in considerable Energy savings, up to 10%, as tests show to have. You can also use the various components thermal afterburners cheaper Materials are used because they are not as high Exposed to temperatures.
- That configuration of the Invention in which at a distance from the outlet opening of the further flame tube in the radially outer region of the Combustion chamber a deflection device is provided, which combustion air striking them again along the Wall of the combustion chamber housing in the direction of the Annular gap between the first flame tube and the further flame tube directs.
- the deflection device therefore supports the above mentioned circulation flow, since it prevents most of the air on the first pass through the Flame already leaves the combustion chamber.
- the burning nozzle has a passage opening provided nozzle housing and a fuel channel has that in the adjacent to the outlet opening Area a venturi-like cross-sectional profile has.
- this venturi-like cross-sectional profile can the flow velocity of the Increase fuel and through the passage openings of the Intake foreign gases from the nozzle housing so that the energy content the fuel is reduced by "dilution".
- the consequence is a flame with a lower temperature generates less nitrogen oxides.
- the Acceleration of the fuel in the flame generated radial direction widened. This makes it easier Initiation of through the first flame tube and if necessary by air swirling devices located therein flowing air into the flame.
- the illustrated includes thermal afterburning device an outer casing 1, that of an only schematically indicated insulating jacket 2 is surrounded. Inside the outer casing 1 there is a combustion chamber 4 by a combustion chamber housing 3 is limited. Through an opening 5 in Insulating jacket 2, through an opening 6 in the outer housing 1 and through an opening 7 in the combustion chamber housing 3 a burner is introduced, the total reference number 8 carries and its outlet opening 9 into the combustion chamber 4 opens.
- the burner 8 comprises a cylindrical burner housing 10 and a first, cylindrical flame tube 11, which inserted into the opening 7 of the combustion chamber housing 3 is, as well as a second, to the burner housing 10 and the first flame tube 11 coaxial second flame tube 12. This is axial with respect to the first flame tube 11 offset towards the inside of the combustion chamber 4 and has a larger diameter than the first Flame tube 11, so that in an overlap area two flame tubes 11, 12 coaxially to the flame tubes 11, 12 extending annular gap 13 is formed.
- the total Reference numeral 14 carries. This consists of a large number of blades 15 which are at an oblique angle against the axis of the combustion chamber housing 3 are turned on and possibly have a certain torsion. Radial remains within the deflection device 14 essentially free-flowing space 16, such as this can be seen in particular from FIG.
- the burner housing 10 carries on its outer surface at the inner end two coaxial rows of air swirl blades 18, 19 over the entire scope away at uniform angular intervals under one Angle to the burner axis arranged and additionally twisted are how this is known in and of itself.
- Nozzle housing 21 is of a plurality of through openings 22 interspersed both in the lateral surface and also provided in the end face of the nozzle housing 21 are.
- a nozzle insert 23 housed and attached, the one venturi-like towards the end face of the burner housing 20 has tapered fuel channel 24.
- the fuel channel 24 communicates with a fuel inlet 25 which is outside the insulating jacket 2.
- combustion air is from the deflection device 14 along the wall of the combustion chamber housing 3 redirected to the left in Figure 1 and arrives in the annular gap 13 between the first flame tube 11 and the second flame tube 12. It is through this annular gap 13 sucked through and arrives again in this way in the range of those produced by the burner nozzle 20 Flame, so that another combustion may still occur existing, combustible impurities takes place. In this way, combustion chamber 4 is created a circulation flow that may be multiple via the deflection device 14 and the annular gap 13 between the first flame tube 11 and the second flame tube 12 leads.
- the acceleration of the Fuel with the help of venturi-like taper in the fuel channel 24 also leads to a radial Expansion of the flame generated. This is how it works it better that the air swirling blades 18, 19 penetrating exhaust air into the flame for afterburning of contaminants.

Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine thermische Nachverbrennungsvorrichtung
zur Reinigung von Abluft mit
Thermische Nachverbrennungsvorrichtungen dienen ebenso
wie regenerative Nachverbrennungsvorrichtungen der Reinigung
industrieller Abgase, die verbrennbare Substanzen
enthalten. Regenerative Nachverbrennungsvorrichtungen
gereinigter Verbrennungsluft.Thermal post-combustion devices, like regenerative post-combustion devices, are used to clean industrial exhaust gases that contain combustible substances.
Set thermal post-combustion devices against it for the combustion of the contaminants carried in the exhaust air a so-called "surface burner", the external energy is supplied in the form of fuel. In thermal afterburners known from the market The burner has the type mentioned at the beginning only a single flame tube over which the to treating exhaust air introduced into the combustion chamber and introduced into the flame generated by the burner nozzle becomes.
The object of the present invention is a thermal Afterburning device to design such that a complete one even at lower flame temperatures Combustion of contaminants in the exhaust air takes place.
The design of the burner according to the invention enables a circulation flow within the combustion chamber itself through the gap between the first flame tube and further flame tube and through the suction effect is supported by the one passing through the inner flame tube Causes gas flow. The exhaust air to be treated thus does not pass through the combustion chamber in one Passage but is possibly repeated several times by the flame out of the burner nozzle before finally entering the combustion chamber leaves towards the heat exchanger. By the circulation flow is achieved several things: it finds better air turbulence and thus mixing cold and warm air flows instead of what the combustion improved. The entire combustion chamber is in all areas evenly heated.
That configuration of the Invention in which at a distance from the outlet opening of the further flame tube in the radially outer region of the Combustion chamber a deflection device is provided, which combustion air striking them again along the Wall of the combustion chamber housing in the direction of the Annular gap between the first flame tube and the further flame tube directs. The deflection device therefore supports the above mentioned circulation flow, since it prevents most of the air on the first pass through the Flame already leaves the combustion chamber.
It is also expedient if the burning nozzle has a passage opening provided nozzle housing and a fuel channel has that in the adjacent to the outlet opening Area a venturi-like cross-sectional profile has. With this venturi-like cross-sectional profile can the flow velocity of the Increase fuel and through the passage openings of the Intake foreign gases from the nozzle housing so that the energy content the fuel is reduced by "dilution". The consequence is a flame with a lower temperature generates less nitrogen oxides. In addition, the Acceleration of the fuel in the flame generated radial direction widened. This makes it easier Initiation of through the first flame tube and if necessary by air swirling devices located therein flowing air into the flame.

The one generated by the
vorhandener, brennbarer Verunreinigungen stattfindet.
The greater part of the combustion air, however, is from

niedrigerer Temperatur erfolgt. Die Beschleunigung des
Brennstoffs mit Hilfe der venturiartigen Verjüngung
im Brennstoffkanal 24 führt außerdem zu einer radialen
Aufweitung der erzeugten Flamme. Auf diese Weise gelingt
es besser, die die Luftverwirbelungsschaufeln 18, 19

der Verunreinigugen einzuleiten. The supplied via the
