Definitions
- the present invention relates to windscreens vision protectors.
- Such transparent screens equip, for example, the helmets for drivers of open vehicles.
- the screen removable, forms a kind of crescent with two articulated lateral ends on the helmet, for, for manual operation, fold it down in front of the eyes functional protection, or to raise it in position resting, visor.
- FR 2 541 092 teaches a vertical suspended screen, pivoted on the upper edge of an opening of vision of a full face helmet.
- the screen is plated in position closed against the lower edge by the wind pressure, against the force of a return spring in position slightly spread. The condensation is thus evacuated.
- the screen in both positions, remains in front the eyes, because it unmasks only a small opening, turned down. But if the relative wind on the helmet is low or zero, for example if the wearer of the helmet is at low speed or at a standstill, the mist is not evacuated, or very slowly.
- FR 2 402 455 teaches a helmet carrying a lever comprising two downward-mounted lateral fins, mounted rotating behind a hinge axis of a screen on helmet.
- the fins receive the wind by their face lower and then back up by pivoting while aligning on the horizontal direction of the longitudinal wind, coming front.
- the screen is folded in front of the eyes.
- Such an assembly is insufficiently sensitive to the headwind, so that the screen stays up at speeds at which he should protect the eyes.
- the set is furthermore cumbersome and, moreover, disturbances of the wind path risk of causing unexpected shifts, since gusts of wind, sideways or downwards, can modify the expected wind direction, longitudinal, for lift the fins. In case of gust in one direction cross-section, the screen may therefore open up even high speed of the wind.
- a head movement of the wearer of the headphones may have the same disruptive effect.
- the operation of the assembly is not reliable.
- the present invention aims to propose a set to screen with improved reliability in use.
- the invention relates to a screen assembly of windproof vision, including means of mounting mobile screen on a carrier element, arranged for cooperate with a user's head, so that the screen is mobile between a functional position defining a fixed functional solid angle of vision, with eye protection of the user, and a position of rest, corresponding to a solid angle of repose less than the functional solid angle, under the control of means of wind pressure sensors, characterized by the fact that means wind pressure sensors are arranged to control the passage of the one, predetermined, from one position to another, while remaining opposed to the wind.
- the sensor means are opposed to the wind, that is, turned longitudinally forward, they have a maximum transversal profile with respect to the expected longitudinal direction of the wind. If, the wind planned longitudinal, therefore with purely vector from the front, turns and becomes oblique by acquiring a transverse vector component, following a burst transversal, the sensor means still capture the longitudinal component of the wind.
- the sensor means present a cone of sensitivity, around the longitudinal direction of arrival of the wind, which keeps it functional.
- the carrier element of such a set can be a headphones, a spectacle frame or other.
- the helmet referenced 1 in Figure 1 wears a windproof screen mobile vision device 10 consisting essentially of a sheet or shutter of transparent material shaped to close an opening of classical field of view 9 of the helmet 1.
- the screen 10 is intermediate form between a sphere sector and a cylinder sector.
- the screen 10 comprises an anterior part 10A, of front profile referenced 11, and two side parts posterior 10L, only one of which is visible here.
- the screen 10 is bounded by a lower edge 12, two rear edges 13 and an upper edge 14, to which correspond respectively abutment edges: lower 2, rear 3 and upper 4, of the opening 9.
- the screen 10 is mounted on the helmet 1 by means of a articulation hinge 19 which comprises a first element, fixed in the middle of the upper edge 14 of the screen 10, a second element, fixed in the middle of the upper edge 4 corresponding, and an axis 19A, articulation of the first and second element above, axis 19A which runs through perpendicularly a median plane 50 of symmetry of the helmet 1, vertical in Figure 1.
- a articulation hinge 19 which comprises a first element, fixed in the middle of the upper edge 14 of the screen 10, a second element, fixed in the middle of the upper edge 4 corresponding, and an axis 19A, articulation of the first and second element above, axis 19A which runs through perpendicularly a median plane 50 of symmetry of the helmet 1, vertical in Figure 1.
- the screen 10 is in position opening, or rest, and therefore does not completely the opening 9.
- the center of gravity G of the material constituting the screen 10 is then located in a plane vertical transverse 19V, suspension screen 10, plane passing through the axis 19A.
- the screen 10 delimits a determined solid angle 7 of eye protection 5 of the helmet wearer 1.
- center of gravity G was pushed back from the 19V plane, under the effect of an external force, due to the pressure of the wind on the screen 10.
- the distance between the center of gravity G and the 19V plane determines a couple of recall to the position of rest, or opening, of the figure 1, couple overcome by the force of wind pressure, when the wind reaches a determined relative speed, here about 20 km / hour.
- the screen 10 determines another determined solid angle 8 of eye protection 5, greater than the solid angle 7, since the lower edge of the screen 10 is folded towards the low.
- the tilting torque of the screen 10 to the opening position is essentially due to the weight of side parts 10L, of which, overall, the mass is clearly behind the 19V suspension plan.
- the center of gravity G can be deported backwards at means of an extra thickness of the screen material 10 in the rear edge area 13.
- the front part 10A of the screen 10 is substantially perpendicular to the direction longitudinal wind, so that the screen 10, so opposite in the wind, still catch the wind even in case of gust lateral.
- the screen 10 In the open position, the screen 10 still presents, partially, a surface oriented transversely to the wind, to undergo a minimum torque of pressure force, which grows with speed and moves to the position of closing.
- the screen 10 thus constitutes a permanent sensor of the wind, sensor always having an apparent surface of longitudinal wind, or profile in a vertical plane transverse surface, which always opposes the wind and receives a pressure vector force, directed vector passing under axis 19A and opposing the force of return to the rest position. Screen 10 is so directly a permanent sensor of the intensity of the wind.
- the switching of the screen 10 to the open position a in fact two effects. First, it creates a catch of air through which the outside air can enter the headset 1, which eliminates condensation on the screen 10. Moreover, the wearer of the helmet 1 can see directly the outdoor scene (lines of vision V).
- FIGS. 3 and 4 differs only from that of Figures 1 and 2 in that the screen 10 is pivotally mounted, by the hinge 19, on a peripheral screen 20 removably mounted, manually, on the headphones 1.
- the peripheral screen 20 constitutes a 10 monitor mount adapter on the headset 1.
- the screen 10 thus constitutes the equivalent of a moving flap which would have been cut out of a full classical screen 10, 20, connected to the helmet 1 by two opposite hinges 21 (only one visible) at the top corners rear opposite, at the level of the ears.
- the composite screen 10, 20 can be removed from the headphones 1 or to be flipped upwards in visor position.
- the tilting of the screen 10 could be made to one side of the helmet 1 with for example a substantially vertical axis of rotation offset from the median plane 50.
- the mounting elements comprise hinge support members (21), (not shown, of the kind of rear joints 21) arranged for example on a rear portion of the lower edge 12, so that that the screen 10 has a center of gravity G mobile in cantilevered, that is, located in front of the elements articulation supports (21), with respect to the direction longitudinal wind arrival, so that the gravity reminds the screen 10 to the rest position, by tilting down, against the pressure of the wind tending to recall the screen 10, by tilting, towards the top.
- hinge support members (21) (not shown, of the kind of rear joints 21) arranged for example on a rear portion of the lower edge 12, so that that the screen 10 has a center of gravity G mobile in cantilevered, that is, located in front of the elements articulation supports (21), with respect to the direction longitudinal wind arrival, so that the gravity reminds the screen 10 to the rest position, by tilting down, against the pressure of the wind tending to recall the screen 10, by tilting, towards the top.
- the mounting elements then comprise elements of translation of the screen 10 arranged so that the screen 10 has a mobile center of gravity G, recalled by gravity to a low position, corresponding to the position of rest on the screen 10, in which it remains sensitive to the wind to be recalled to the closed position by raising the center of gravity G to a high position, under the action of the wind.
- this translation can be directed forward and / or be lateral, sideways or upwards or low, compared to a line of sight V substantially longitudinal.
- FIG. 5 is a section in partial view from above illustrating a first embodiment of a screen lock device 10 in the position of closure according to any one of the embodiments.
- the peripheral screen support 20 comprises in the lower part (or the lower edge 2 of the helmet 1 alternatively), a housing 36 with forward-facing opening, wherein penetrates an appendage 16, turned towards the back, solidary of the lower edge 12 of the screen 10.
- the assembly 36, 16 here presents a symmetry with respect to the median plane 50.
- the arrow F1 indicates the longitudinal direction of the wind, to the back, and also the direction of crimping the screen 10.
- the housing 36 has a mouth 39 of width reduced, while two sidewall areas 37 of the housing 36, generally parallel to the median plane 50, constitute the respective bottoms of two lateral cavities opposite 38, relative to which the mouth 39 constitutes two opposite reliefs facing the median plane 50.
- Appendix 16 has two faces or surfaces side 17, generally parallel to the plane 50, comprising two respective lateral reliefs 18, turned away from the plan 50. In the retracted, closing position, the reliefs side 18 are laterally entirely opposite cavities 38. The distance between the tops of the two reliefs 18 corresponds to the width of the mouth 39 of the dwelling 36, plus a slight margin of play.
- the hinge 19 has a mechanical play so that the lower part 12 of the screen 10 can move, or twist, laterally a few tenths of a millimeter case of side wind.
- the relief 18 which deviates from the plane median 50 under the effect of the side wind, enters the cavity 38 opposite and thus locks the screen 10 in closing position.
- FIG. 6A represents an exploded perspective view in three quarters before, a second example of realization a screen locking device 10 in position closure.
- Figure 6B is a very front view schematic.
- a hook 42 or mobile locking finger in closing position, is rotatably mounted to secure temporarily the screen 10 with the peripheral screen 20 (or, alternatively, with the helmet 1).
- the finger 42 is mounted rotatable about a longitudinal axis 41.
- the finger 42 is secured to a rotary pallet 44 actuated by the wind, housed, in this example, in a fairing element 46 (Fig. 4) to channel the wind towards the pallet 44.
- the pallet 44 extends to rest in the median plane 50, so perpendicular to the transverse direction of extension of the fairing element 46.
- the fairing element 46 has a section transverse U-shaped, open rearward, and the vertex edges of the U are applied against an area 60 of the lower part of the peripheral screen 20, in order to close laterally the top of the U of the fairing element 46.
- a first end of axis 41 is carried by the edge of a hole 47 in the upper part of the anterior surface (base U) of the fairing element 46, a second opposite end being carried by the edge of a hole 61 of zone 60.
- the finger 42 has a hole 40 for the passage of the axis 41 and suspension of the pallet 44.
- the fairing element 46 constitutes, with the zone 60, a kind of transverse tube housing the pallet 44, the finger 42 which can protrude through a slot or notch 48 of the upper wall of the tube 46, 60, slot 48 extending longitudinally relative to the tube 46, 60.
- a gust of lateral wind that would "cut” the wind face and would be likely to cause a bearing accidental screen 10 causes a rotation of the pallet 44 (FIG 6B) and therefore an output of the finger 42, by the slot 48, in the locking position.
- there are actually two opposite fingers 42 and 43 that is to say that the pallet 44 constitutes the trunk of a suspended tee at the intersection of its trunk with its branches 42, 43 forming fingers or locking cams. All locking above can be mounted on the part bass 5 of the helmet 1 or the screen 20, and then the finger 42 or 43 goes up by rotation in front of the lower edge 12 of the screen 10, thus locking it.
- the locking device above could be mounted on the screen 10, at an area of the lower edge 12 replacing the zone 60, so that the finger 42, 43 rotate, from its rest position, protruding down, the T 42, 43, 44 then being suspended returned, to cling to the inner edge of the screen 20 or at the edge 5 of the helmet 1.
- Figure 7 represents the third form of realization of the screen helmet.
- This example corresponds to the example of Figure 4, but the screens 10 and 20 form a set of one piece, mounted articulated on the helmet 1 by the joints 21.
- the reference 10 designates the transparent part of the screen 10, 20 and the reference 20 designates the adapter peripheral frame portion of mounting on the headphones 1.
- the screen 10, 20 is associated with an engine actuator 21M for passing the screen 10 one to the other of its functional, extreme positions, for example from the closed position, here represented, to the open position, in which the screen 10 has rotated up around the joints 21 to form a kind of visor substantially horizontal.
- a pile or battery powers the 21M motor, forming a whole here monobloc with this one.
- the engine 21M is here a rotary engine focused on one articulations 21 and controlled by a device 70 of measurement of the relative wind pressure, including a comparator 72 compares the measured value of pressure with a threshold of reference and controls the rotation of the motor 21M in a predetermined direction when the threshold is crossed in one direction predetermined.
- the device 70 functionally belongs to the assembly comprising the screen 10, 20 and its elements of fitting 21 with the motor 21M, but the device 70 could be mounted independently of the rest of the elements of this set.
- the device 70 is thus, in this example, fixed in the upper part of the helmet 1, and precisely against the wind, that is to say turned towards the longitudinal direction of wind arrival.
- the device 70 controls a rotation of the motor 21M in the direction of the folding of the screen 10, 20 in the closed position.
- the passage in return from the closed position to the position opening can be controlled by elastic return, by example by one or two springs in spiral or helix mounted at the respective joints 21.
- elastic return by example by one or two springs in spiral or helix mounted at the respective joints 21.
- the device 70 is provided to control the passage of the closing position to the open position, when the wind pressure drops below the threshold.
- Screen 10, 20 must remain sensitive to the wind, even in of opening, so that the wind folds it, by order direct mechanics, in the closed position when the threshold is exceeded.
- the screen 10, 20 therefore constitutes a sensor of wind pressure.
- the a predetermined meaning occurs when crossing the reference threshold of the device 70 according to the said direction, while the reversal in the opposite direction is linked to the wind sensitivity of the screen 10, 20 in the position reached on command of the device 70, respectively closing and opening.
- the pressure force for the Reversal can therefore correspond to a threshold of mechanical tilting of different value than threshold in the device 70.
- the mechanical threshold is greater than the threshold of the device 70 to produce a hysteresis effect, avoiding oscillations of the screen 10, 20.
- the comparator 72 can, however, also work in both directions, to control the recall to the initial position, opposite the predetermined direction above.
- the device 70 may be a purely mechanical device, comprising for example a membrane 71 to elastic deformation, extending in a vertical plane transversal to the wind direction of arrival to present a transverse surface, apparent, or profile maximum, therefore constant, to ensure accurate measurement being at best sensitive to pressure.
- the membrane 71 controls the movement of a contact element switch (72), not shown, (equivalent of comparator 72) which controls the motor 21M when the pressure reaches a threshold of deformation of the membrane 71.
- the state of the contact (72) determines the direction of the control of the motor 21M or two such assemblies are provided for membrane, with different thresholds to control the 21M motor in both directions respectively, with hysteresis.
- the membrane 71 can be provided a rotary pallet assembly of the kind of pallet 44.
- the movement of the rotary vane (like 44) can slow down by coupling it to a viscous product, such as glycerin, whose viscous friction requires work of a force.
- This viscous product thus has a integration function of the wind pressure force, filtering its temporary variations.
- the membrane 71 above or equivalent present still, by a housing bearing, a transverse profile maximum, opposing the passage of the wind, even if the surface useful of the sensor element 71 is then turned towards the back, that is to say according to the departure direction of the wind.
- the actuator motor 21M is here of the step type, for, in the absence of a command, lock the screen 10, 20 in the last position ordered, eventually intermediate as explained below.
- the device 70 is of the electric type or electronics, for example an integrated circuit 70 integrating the membrane 71, on which is plated a conductive ink track constituting a resistor calibrated strain gauge mounted in a bridge of Wheatstone. Bridge unbalance voltage, representing the wind pressure, is applied to a input of the comparator circuit 72, which receives the value of pressure threshold on another input, coming from a memory element.
- the comparator circuit 72 controls the 21M motor according to the sense of level inequality between its two inputs, according to the control principles exposed more above.
- An integrating circuit at the input or at the output of the comparator circuit 72, can be provided to filter the pressure fluctuations.
- the comparator circuit 72 is an integrated circuit, memory and microprocessor, programmable by a user to set several values of the pressure threshold, some correspond to intermediate positions opening of the screen 10, which, thanks to the stepper motor 21M, can thus occupy a half-open position in a intermediate speed range, for example from 20 to 30 km / hour.
