  • The invention relates to a machine tool, in particular a hand tool, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • For most machine tools, in particular hand tool machines, it is advantageous to be able to vary a drive speed of the drive motor. In manual power tools is known to keep the drive speed via a control unit as independent as possible from the load constant or adjust the drive speed variably via an actuator.
  • To adjust an operator is often offered a thumbwheel over which the speed can be set permanently or limited to a maximum value. The thumbwheel can also be combined with a potentiometer in the switch trigger, so that the thumbwheel sets the upper limit of the pusher area.
  • With the setting wheel, for example, the speed can be adjusted to a machining operation or to a material to be processed. An operator may preselect a speed that can be kept constant while working on a workpiece, such as sawing, grinding, etc.
  • From the DE 39 16 355 A1 is a power tool with a motor and a motor control known. The control takes place as a function of parameters which are input by a user via an adjusting device. In addition, the controller automatically controls by means of a reset unit a provision in a starting position.
  • Advantages of the invention
  • The invention is based on a machine tool, in particular a handheld power tool, with a housing arranged in a drive motor and at least one adjusting device via which at least one parameter of the drive motor and / or a transmission during an operating phase is permanently adjustable, wherein the adjusting device has a reset unit which resets the adjusting device to an initial position as a function of at least one operating parameter, and the reset unit resets the actuating device as a function of a standstill time.
  • Characterized in that the adjusting device has a reset unit, which resets the adjusting device depending on at least one operating parameter to an initial position, incorrect operation can be safely avoided especially when the machine tool is used by several people. The machine tool can be advantageously always reset by the reset unit to a standard operating case, from which each operator can set the machine tool in the usual way to his specific application. It can be safely avoided that an unsuitable for a particular application special setting is overlooked by a new operator. Depending on the machine tool, it may be advantageous that in the initial position, the machine tool can be operated with a maximum possible characteristic, which is then reduced by the actuator, that in the initial position, the machine tool with a minimum set Characteristic can be operated from the security reasons, a setting should always be started, or that in the initial position, the machine tool can be operated with a characteristic that is between a maximum and a minimum characteristic.
  • In a further embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the reset unit resets the adjusting device depending on a downtime. It can be achieved structurally simple, a functionally correct provision.
  • If it is possible to set in the restoring unit at which standstill time the restoring unit returns the adjusting device, the machine tool can furthermore be set to various fields of application and unintentional restoring can be reliably avoided, the downtime preferably being between one and twenty minutes.
  • In machine tools, a speed of the tool is often decisive for advantageous processing, whereby a maximum speed is preferably adjustable via the adjusting device as a parameter, directly via the drive machine and / or possibly also via a transmission. In addition to the maximum speed, it may in principle also be useful to determine a minimum speed via the adjusting device, which should not be undershot, for example, in an application.
  • In addition to a number of revolutions, it is also possible to use other parameters that appear appropriate to the person skilled in the art via the adjusting device be executed adjustable, in particular a minimum and / or maximum delivered torque and / or a machining stroke, for example, in a jigsaw or an eccentric grinder, etc.
  • In a further embodiment, it is proposed that when interrupting a power supply, the reset unit resets the adjusting device, for example, when pulling a power plug or when replacing a battery. Since before a change of operator, in particular a power plug of a power tool frequently unplugged or the power supply is interrupted, the operator change can be detected with a very high probability.
  • Furthermore, further operating parameters which appear reasonable to a person skilled in the art are conceivable, on which basis the reset unit resets the adjusting device, for example as a function of temperature values. The adjusting device can be reset as soon as the machine tool has cooled down, for example by a bimetal element releasing a latching connection, and / or the adjusting device can be reset when a certain temperature is exceeded, for example in the event of an overload.
  • Constructively simple and inexpensive, a mechanical reset mechanism can be realized, in particular with a tensioned spring element, which is held for example via a latching mechanism during operation in its position, which is coupled to an on-off switch and is released when you turn off the machine tool.
  • If the reset unit has an electromagnetic control element, the reset operation can advantageously be easily coupled to a power supply, for example by a solenoid acting directly or via a latching mechanism preventing a return spring from returning the control device in the presence of a power supply. When the power supply is interrupted and a holding force of the electromagnet is released, the return spring returns the adjusting device. In addition to a mechanical return spring, the electromagnetic actuating element can also be combined with other mechanisms that appear appropriate to a person skilled in the art, for example with electric and / or hydraulic actuators.
  • In a further embodiment, it is proposed that the adjusting device for setting the characteristic has at least one electronic unit which can be reset via the reset unit. The reset operation can advantageously be coupled to a power supply, as in the case of an electromagnetic unit. Furthermore, the electronics unit can be particularly space-saving, easy and inexpensive to be realized. A mechanical return of an actuating element can be advantageously avoided, for example a setting wheel.
  • The solution according to the invention can be used in various machine tools that appear appropriate to the person skilled in the art and which are frequently used by several operators, such as hand drills, percussion drills, rotary and / or chisel hammers, screwdrivers, angle grinders, eccentric grinding machines, saws, planers etc.

  • According to the invention, the adjusting device 14 has a reset unit 18, which resets the adjusting device 14 depending on an operating parameter to an initial position, namely as soon as a power supply is interrupted ( Fig. 2 ). The thumbwheel 30 is rotatably mounted in a housing part 34 with an axis 32, via which a not-shown potentiometer is rotatable. The axis 32 is axially secured in the housing part 34 in the direction of thumbwheel 30 via a gear 32 fixed to the axis 32 and axially in the direction of gear 36 via a flange 38 on the thumbwheel 30. On the flange 38, a coil spring 22 is arranged, which positively engages with a first leg 42 in the direction of rotation between two attached to the setting wheel 30 pins 44, 46 and with a second leg 48 positively engages between two fixed to the housing part 34 pins 50, 52.
  • If the hand drill with a power plug and a power cord not shown connected to a power supply, a solenoid 24 is energized and moves a plunger 54 in a tooth gap of the gear 36. If the thumbwheel 30 is rotated to a maximum through the shift lever 28 adjustable speed To limit a certain value, the plunger 54 can be moved from its detent position in the gear 36 and from the tooth gap against the magnetic force of the electromagnet 24.   • If, after an operating phase, the mains plug is pulled and the power supply to the electromagnet 24 is interrupted, the plunger 54 can be displaced via the spiral spring 22 out of the tooth gap of the toothed wheel 36. The coil spring 22 returns the thumbwheel 30 and the potentiometer in their initial position, namely the speed limit is canceled so that the hand drill can be operated at a maximum possible speed via the shift lever 28. The electromagnet 24 with the plunger 54 and the gear 36 are advantageously used to control the adjustment range of the setting wheel 30, the setting wheel 30 to lock during an operating phase and to realize an advantageous return mechanism.
  • In Fig. 3 an alternative adjusting device 16 is shown with a setting wheel 56. Substantially identical components are basically numbered with the same reference numerals.   • The control wheel 56 is connected via a pulse generator 58 to an electronic control unit 26, which has a setpoint Speed controller 60 specifies. Instead of a pulse generator, however, an infinite potentiometer is possible. If the hand drill is connected via a power supply 62 with a power plug and a power cord to a power supply, the control unit 26 is energized via a line 64, regardless of the operation of the switch 28. The speed of the electric motor 12 can then be adjusted by the setting wheel 56 to a specific value. The set speed is displayed via a display 66. If a setting limit is reached in a direction of rotation of the setting wheel 56, the adjusting wheel 56 can be further rotated without the speed setting changing.
  • If the power plug is pulled and the power supply to the control unit 26 is interrupted or a certain standstill time is reached, i. if the hand drill is not operated for a certain period of time, a reset unit 20 in the control unit 26 returns it to its initial position, namely the preselected speed is canceled, so that the hand drill can be operated at a maximum possible speed. The idle time at which the control unit 26 is reset via the reset unit 20 can be adjusted via an adjusting wheel 40 to an amount between two and twenty minutes.

Claims (10)

  1. Machine tool, in particular powered hand tool, having a drive motor (12) arranged in a housing (10) and at least one regulating device (14, 16), via which at least one characteristic quantity of the drive motor (12) and/or of a gear unit can be continuously set during an operating phase, the regulating device (14, 16) having a resetting unit (18, 20) which resets the regulating device (14, 16) to an initial position as a function of at least one operating parameter the resetting unit (20) resetting the regulating device (16) as a function of an idle time, characterized in that the idle time during which the resetting unit (20) resets the regulating device (16) can be set at the resetting unit (20).
