Claims (16)

  1. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine, more especially for installation in a line of fitted kitchen units, which machine includes a loading opening to the washing machine drum, which opening is closed by a porthole (1) having an integrally formed flange (1a), which is mounted on the internal surface of a door (2), a facing plate (8) being fitted on the external door surface and covering the front surface of the housing, at least beneath the control panel, characterised in that the porthole (1) is fastened on the internal door surface (2a) by a retaining ring (3), so that the retaining ring (3) covers the entire flange (1a) of the porthole (1) in a unitary manner.
  2. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 1, characterised in that the retaining ring (3) is fastened via screws, the screw heads being situated on the external door surface.
  3. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to one of claims 1 or 2, which machine includes a clamp (10) on the internal door surface (2a), which clamp comprises an ejector (10a) and fastening regions (10b), and which clamp engages in a door lock in the closed position, characterised in that the retaining ring (3) includes a recess (3a) for accommodating the clamp (10).
  4. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to one of claims I to 3, characterised in that the clamp (10) is fastened on the internal door surface (2a) by the retaining ring (3).
  5. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 4, characterised in that fastening regions (10b) of the clamp (10) are connected to the retaining ring (3) in a form-fitting manner, and in that the clamp is pressed against the internal door surface by the retaining ring.
  6. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 1, characterised in that detent elements (12a, 12b) are disposed on the retaining ring (3) and on the internal door surface (2a), the disposition and geometry of which detent elements are so adapted to each other that the retaining ring (3) is connectable to the internal door surface (2a) by the detent elements (12a, 12b) in the manner of a bayonet closure.
  7. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 6, which machine includes a clamp (10) on the internal door surface (2a), which clamp comprises an ejector (10a) and fastening regions (10b), and which clamp engages in a door lock in the closed position, characterised in that the clamp (10) non-rotatably fastens the retaining ring (3).
  8. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 7,
    characterised in that the clamp (10) non-rotatably fastens the retaining ring (3) in a form-fitting manner.
  9. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 8, characterised in that the retaining ring includes catches (13), the geometry of which catches is adapted to a fastening region of the clamp (10).
  10. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 9, characterised in that the catches (13) have a circular configuration and are disposed on the external edge of the retaining ring (3).
  11. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 2 or 6, characterised in that the fastening regions (10b) of the clamp (10) and the retaining ring (3) are in the form of a single-piece construction part.
  12. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 2 or 6, characterised in that the clamp (10) and the retaining ring (3) are in the form of a single-piece construction part.
  13. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to at least one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the drum-type washing machine includes a centring ring (9) for positioning the porthole (1), the centring ring (9) being inserted into a circular ring-shaped groove (6) in the internal door surface (2a).
  14. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 13, characterised in that the centring ring (9) includes a raised internal edge which abuts against the inside of the porthole (1).
  15. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 14, characterised in that the centring ring (9) is formed completely or partially from a resilient material.
  16. Front-loadable drum-type washing machine according to claim 15, characterised in that the centring ring (9) includes balancing lugs (9a), which are formed from an elastomeric material and are foldable around the flange (1a) of the porthole (1).
