the foam-like annular strip (9) consists of a polyurethane coating, the front sealing-ring edge (10) of the annular strip (9), formed during the foaming process, resting on the glass flange side (11) and the rear circumferential sealing-ring edge (12) thereof forming an arched annular shoulder (13). - Method for producing a seal on a door (1) of a laundry treatment appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, comprising a drum which is rotatably mounted in a housing and comprises, on the front side of the housing, a loading opening which can be closed by a door (1), the door consisting of a door-mounting ring (4) which can be pivoted by a hinge (2) and can be closed by means of a latch (3), the glass flange (7) of a bowl-shaped inspection glass (8) being fastened to the edge of said door-mounting ring that points towards the inside, on which inspection glass a door-cover ring (6), which covers and seals the glass flange region, is arranged in turn,
characterised in that
a foam-like annular strip (9) is applied to the glass flange region in the form of a lint and condensate seal in liquid form in a foaming process by means of a robot-guided nozzle, before the door-cover ring (4), which covers the annular strip (9), is placed on the door-mounting ring (4).
