Description

The invention relates to a closure / container combination with tamper-evident according to the preamble of claim 1.

Closure / container combinations with tamper evidence are known. In general, a tamper-evident ring is formed on the peripheral wall of a closure cap via tear-off webs, which has an engagement means which can engage in interlocking engagement with rear engagement means on the neck region of a container during assembly of the closure cap onto the container neck region. The tamper-evident ring in some known closure / container combinations represents an axial extension of the peripheral wall of the cap, cf. DE-A-1,955,047th In other known arrangements, the tamper evident ring projects beyond the radial dimensions of the cap peripheral wall. In both cases, there is the danger that the tamper evident ring is prematurely separated from the cap during manufacture, transportation and during the automatic mounting of a closure cap due to the unavoidable forces acting on the tamper evident ring and unpredictable in these processes and thus the originality function can be lost or a correspondingly high rejection of incorrect packaging results. Another disadvantage of the known arrangements is that the provision of the tamper-evident ring necessitates a relatively high additional cost of materials, and that, after separation of the tamper-evident ring, either relatively large undesirable waste products remain on the container or in the environment from the use of the closure cap. Finally, tamper-evident rings, especially if they extend beyond the radial dimensions of the cap peripheral wall, affect their aesthetic appearance. Often, therefore, the use of caps with such Originalitätsringen is limited to applications in which aesthetic considerations play no or only a minor role.

Moreover, from GB-A-2 138 411 a closure / container combination is known in which a cap-side engagement means is provided on at least one peripheral wall portion recessed in the peripheral wall of the closure cap portion and connected to the peripheral wall via a plurality of tear-off webs. This known design results in the first opening to a jerky movement that requires higher forces that can not be easily applied by the user especially children and the elderly.

In view of these circumstances, the invention has for its object to provide a closure / container combination of the type mentioned, which manages despite reliable tamper evidence without Originalitätsring between cap and container. In addition, the closure / container combination should be able to be manufactured economically by known plastic molding techniques and allow improved handling when automatically mounting caps on containers.

EP-A-0 201 138.This object is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1. Thereafter, the closure / container combination according to the invention does not require a tear-off tamper-evident ring. Rather, the tamper-evident function is integrated into the peripheral wall of the closure cap member by recessed therein a limited peripheral wall region that can be separated from the remainder of the peripheral wall under a certain force applied thereto, thereby eliminating mutual blocking engagement of rear engagement means on the peripheral wall region and container member, and the closure cap member how a conventional cap from the container part can be removed. The recessed peripheral wall area can therefore lie in the plane of the cap peripheral wall and is therefore claimed in a special way by forces neither in the production of the cap part or during later transport nor in the automatic assembly of the cap part. A premature separation of the peripheral wall area from the rest of the cap peripheral wall is therefore not to be feared. Also, it may be sufficient if the peripheral wall portion is only partially separated from the cap peripheral wall, so that it can be bent out of the plane of the cap peripheral wall, and in Remaining with her remains in connection, so that an impairment can be avoided by separated lying around peripheral wall areas. The invention makes it possible to produce the closure cap part and container part of the combination in an economical manner by injection molding using suitable plastics, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, etc., wherein the demolding of the closure cap parts, unlike those with tamper-evident rings, causes no problems. According to a development of the invention, a further tamper-evident provision can be made between the closure cap part and a lid part, which can be articulated thereto for the repeated closing of a pouring opening on the closure cap part. A preferred embodiment of such a further tamper-evidence is the subject of claim 8 and basically known, cf. eg EP-A-0 201 138.

In Fig. 1, the closure cap portion of the closure / container combination carries the general reference numeral 1 and a container part the reference numeral 2. The container part 2 is presently a separate plastic molding for attachment to a container (not shown). However, the container part 1 can also be an integral part of the container by forming a neck region of the container corresponding to the container part 2. The separate design of the container part 2 allows its combination with containers made of any materials, such as glass, plastic, metal, whereby suitable known connection techniques for permanent connection of the container part 2 can be used with a separate container.

The container part 2 has a substantially tubular configuration with a through passage defining an access opening 3, through which access to the interior of a container is possible. At the outer periphery of the container part 2, a screw thread 4 is provided, which can cooperate with a complementary screw thread (not shown) on the inside of a peripheral wall 5 of the closure cap part 1, so that the closure cap part 1 can be screwed onto the container part 2, in the course of this Operation the access opening 3 is closed.

From the outer circumference of the container part 2 is radially from a Hintergreifnocken 6 at a position which is adapted to the axial and circumferential position of a recess 8 in the peripheral wall 5 of the closure cap part 1, so that the Hintergreifnocken 6 with completely screwed onto the container part 2 cap part. 1 snapping into the recess 8 and can be received therein as shown in Fig. 3. The Hintergreifnocken 6 has a radially aligned stop surface 7, which, when the Hintergreifnocken 6 is in the recess 8, with a stop edge 14 on a peripheral wall portion 9 can engage, which is recessed within the peripheral wall 5 of the closure cap part 1 to a rotation of the closure cap part 1 in Abschraubrichtung to prevent. The stop edge 14 at the same time forms a leading boundary edge of the recess 8 when viewed in the screwing of the cap part 1 and is part of a leading enlarged portion 10 of the peripheral wall portion 9. The leading portion 10 has when viewed in the plane of the peripheral wall 5 has a substantially triangular configuration with a under an opening opposite to the screw-on angle to the free edge 13 of the peripheral wall 5 extending oblique edge.

The peripheral wall portion 9 further includes a trailing portion 11, which bounds the recess 8 on the underside. The sections 10, 11 of the peripheral wall region 9 have a common lower edge 13 ', which represents a continuation of the peripheral edge 13 of the peripheral wall 5.

Along its oblique edge, the leading section 10 is connected to the peripheral wall 5 via a multiplicity of tear-off webs 12 (four tear-off webs in the present case). The tear-off webs 12 form predetermined breaking points by being designed to rupture under a certain circumferential force acting thereon, whereby the leading portion 10 of the peripheral wall portion 9 loses its connection with the peripheral wall 5 and the blocking effect of the engagement between the rear engaging projections 6 and the stop edge 14 is lost.

Another Abreisssteg 12 'connects an end facing away from the section 10 in the circumferential direction of the trailing portion 11 of the peripheral wall portion 9 with the peripheral wall 5. If this Abreisssteg 12' brought under a force exerted on the cap part 1 force to tear, the peripheral wall portion 9 of the peripheral wall 5 of the closure cap part 1 are separated. For the function of the originality assurance such a complete separation of the peripheral wall area 9 is not mandatory. As shown, the lagging Section 11 may be formed in the form of a beam-like approach to the leading portion 10.

The Hintergreifnocken 6 has a radial cross section, which tapers conically from the stop surface 7 in the circumferential direction, so that a ramp-like ramp surface is formed, which allows the peripheral wall 5 of the cap 1 and in particular the peripheral wall portion 9 when screwing the cap member 1 on the Container part 2 can be moved along the Hintergreifvorsprunges 6, without that in this process a cracking of the webs 12, 12 'takes place. Only with a movement of the closure cap part 1 in the opposite or unscrewing the stop surface 7 of the Hintergreifvorsprunges 6 comes into locking engagement with the stop edge 14 of the peripheral wall portion 9, whereby a movement of the closure cap part 1 in the unscrewing possible only when the webs 12 with such a large force be charged that it comes to a tearing of the webs.

The peripheral wall region 9 integrated in the circumferential wall 5 of the closure cap part 1 represents a first or main originality assurance which gives the user an indication that no manipulations have been made on the closure cap part 1, as long as the connection between the peripheral wall region 9 and the peripheral wall 5 is intact.

As shown, the closure cap part 1 may further be provided with a lid part 17 in order to close a pouring opening 16 in a cap end wall 15 spanning the access opening 3. The lid part 17 may, as indicated at 18, be articulated via a film hinge on the closure cap part 1 in a known manner.

Fig. 1 und 3. Another tamper-evident feature can be provided between the closure cap part 1 and the lid part 17, which covers the lid part 17 in the pouring opening 16 holds closed position, cf. 1 and 3. The pouring opening 16 may preferably have a lower passage capacity for the container contents than that of the inlet opening 3 of the container part 2. Although other such tamper-evident devices may be provided, in the embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 1-3, this includes a tear strip 23 axially projecting along a peripheral portion of the cap end wall 15 and integrally formed with a plurality of tear-off webs 20 on the cap end wall 15. A bottom edge 22 the tear-off strip 23 can be engaged by a protrusion or a nose 21 which protrudes radially from the circumference of the cover part 17 and the initial closing of the cover member 17 from the open position shown in FIG. 2 in the closed position of FIG. 1 along the tear-off strip 23 in an inter-related relationship with the lower edge 22 can be performed. If desired, the tear strip 23 could also be formed on the cover part 17 and the nose 21 on the closure cap part 1. The lid part 17 can be brought after the initial closure only in the open position shown in Fig. 2, if previously the tear strip 23 was separated by means of a hand applied thereto force from the cap portion 1, which requires a tearing of the tear-off webs 20. An intact tear strip 23 is therefore another guarantee for the lack of falsifying manipulation of the container contents.

Fig. 4 shows a further embodiment of the invention, which differs from the previously described and shown in Fig. 1-3 embodiment only in the position of the peripheral wall portion within the peripheral wall of the closure cap part and the Hintergreifnockens on the container part. Corresponding parts as in the embodiment of Figures 1-3 are therefore provided with the same reference numerals and need not be described again.

The separable from the peripheral wall 5 of the closure cap portion peripheral wall portion 9 may have a fundamentally identical construction as the peripheral wall portion 9 of the described embodiment with the Exception that the lower edge 130 forms no portion of the peripheral edge 13 of the peripheral wall 5, but is arranged at an axial distance thereto, so that the peripheral edge 13 of the closure cap part 1 is formed continuously. The Hintergreifnocken 6 on the container part 2, which may be constructed as well as the Hintergreifnocken 6 of the above embodiment is axially offset according to the axial position of the peripheral wall portion 9 relative to the above-described embodiment, so that it can engage in the recess 8 when the cap member 1 is completely screwed onto the container part 2. The substantial enlargement of the recess 8, which results from the fact that the peripheral wall portion 9 is separated from the peripheral wall 5, when tear off the Abreissstege 12 when unscrewing the cap member 1, causes the blocking engagement between the stop surface 7 of the Hintergreifnockens 6 and the stop edge 14th the peripheral wall portion 9 is lost and a complete unscrewing of the closure cap part 1 is made possible.

Although the screw mounting of the closure cap part on the container part provided in the above-described embodiments of the invention is preferred, the invention is not limited to such an assembly method. It could also be a plug-in assembly, in particular be provided in the manner of a bayonet between the parts. The cap-side rear engagement means could be formed in other ways than by a stop known on the peripheral wall portion. It could e.g. a Hintergreifvorsprung be formed on the inside of the Umfansgwandbereiches, with which the Hintergreifnocken the container part in the course of assembly can engage. If desired, it would also be possible to provide a plurality of first or main originality fuses of the type according to the invention in a circumferentially distributed manner.
