Bei der elektrischen Kontaktierung erfolgt somit eine Entkopplung der Rückwand des Gehäuses, so dass die Montage der Lichtquelle an der Rückwand des Gehäuses vereinfacht wird. Der Adapter stellt ein mechanisches Verbindungselement zwischen dem Lichtquellenträger und dem Gehäuse dar.
