Description

The present invention relates to an assembly for the packaging and the application of a product, in particular a cosmetic or a care product, in particular in the form of a powder or a fluid.

EP 1 086 904 discloses an assembly according to the preamble of claim 1.

There are many types of applicators of cosmetic products, and in particular applicators with a foam member attached or not to a capsule. Such applicators are enclosed in a sealed enclosure to protect them from any pollution or evaporation. They can be compressed or not in the enclosure. When it is desired to use this type of applicator for applications to the entire face or for a body application, it is necessary to increase the diameter of the foam member. However, high density fine cell foams which have a high capillarity retention capacity are often used. This produces a high density foam member of large diameter which is relatively hard. Furthermore, such foams are difficult to conform to the different reliefs of the surface on which the product is applied, because of their high rigidity. On the other hand, these foams which are often hydrophilic and which contain moisture absorbers tend to swell in contact with the product and come scrub on the edges of the walls of the enclosure serving as housing. It is thus difficult to introduce the applicator member into its housing because of the resistance that is too high.

Also, is it an object of the invention to provide an assembly for the packaging and application of a cosmetic or care product that does not have the disadvantages of the prior art.

In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide such a set which allows a cosmetic or care product to be gently applied.

It is yet another object of the invention to provide an assembly for the packaging and application of a cosmetic or care product which makes it possible to adapt to different reliefs of the surface on which the product is applied.

It is yet another object of the invention to provide an assembly for the packaging and application of a cosmetic or care product which can easily be introduced into a sealed housing.

According to the invention, these objects are achieved by providing an assembly for the packaging and application of a product as defined in claim 1.

By application surface is meant any external surface of the applicator member that can be brought into contact with a surface to be treated, in particular to bring the product to said surface to be treated and / or to spread it.

Thus, thanks to the configuration of the applicator member comprising at least a portion more compressible than the rest of the organ, the support force that it exerts, when the user applies it on his skin by example, is at least partly absorbed. This gives a set with flexibility that allows a relatively smooth application to the surface to be treated.

The second portion is configured to promote uniform or preferential compression of the applicator member. Indeed, by arranging the more compressible portion of one side of the application member, can rotate the first part of the applicator member as well as the application surface with respect to an axis of the applicator member, so that said application surface is adapted to the relief of the surface to be treated with an angle different from the angle with which the user holds the applicator member and applies it.

In addition, the presence of the second more compressible portion also facilitates the introduction of the applicator member into its housing by limiting the friction that can have the applicator member on the inner walls of the housing when in particular the diameter of the applicator member is equal to or greater than that of the housing.

Preferably, the first portion of the applicator member which is adjacent to its application surface is of compressible material. The application member thus has a second flexibility giving it a certain flexibility in the application. For example, an open-cell or semi-open-cell foam is used, chosen especially from foams of polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polyether, polyethylene vinyl acetate, polyvinyl acetate or natural rubber. synthetic. It is also possible to use a sinter of flexible material, especially chosen from elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers, polyvinyl chlorides or polyethylenes vinyl acetate.

According to a first embodiment, the second portion of the applicator member is partly formed of a material identical to the material forming the first portion. According to this embodiment, the cross sectional area of said portion of the second portion is, over at least part of its axial height, smaller than the cross sectional area of the first portion.

For this purpose, different configurations of the second portion are envisaged.

In a first configuration, the second portion comprises one or more grooves (s) opening on a side surface of the applicator member. The groove (s) is (are) oriented in a plane transverse to a longitudinal axis X of the applicator member and is (are) formed on at least a part of the periphery of the the implementing body. These grooves may be formed in a plane perpendicular to the axis X of the applicator member or in a plane inclined with respect to the axis X.

According to this first configuration, the grooves have a substantially identical axial height in the absence of constraints exerted on the applicator member. Alternatively, at least one of the grooves may have an axial height different from those of the other grooves. Moreover, each groove may have a constant axial height or alternatively, at least one of the grooves is of non-constant axial height.

In the absence of stress, the grooves may be spaced two by two in an identical manner. Alternatively, the grooves are spaced differently. It will be possible to use grooves which are increasingly spaced apart when moving away from the application surface of the applicator member. This allows in particular to increase the flexibility gradually. It is also possible to use grooves of different depths.

The space between two successive grooves is for example greater than the axial height of said grooves.

The groove (s) may (wind) have a cross section to the plane in which it (s) extends (ent) of different shapes. Indeed, the section may be C-shaped, U-shaped with a square or rounded bottom, or V-shaped. The V-shaped section makes it possible to obtain a more gradual flexibility than that obtained with a shaped section. from U.

According to a second configuration, the second portion comprises one or more grooves (s) substantially axial (s).

Preferably, it comprises a plurality of grooves spaced radially evenly over the entire periphery of the applicator member.

According to a variant, the second portion can both have grooves and grooves.

According to a second embodiment, the second portion is made of a material different from the material forming the first portion. Preferably, the second portion consists of a material having a compressibility greater than the compressibility of the material forming the first portion. This is for example a foam with open or semi-open cells different from that forming the first portion but which may also be chosen from foams of polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polyether, polyethylene vinyl acetate, polyvinyl acetate, natural or synthetic rubber.

According to a variant, the applicator member consists of at least two concentric blocks, of different materials because of their nature and / or their density, for example two blocks of foam of the same nature and density. different. The concentric blocks may have the same axial height or a different axial height.

According to a third embodiment, the second portion comprises a spring, in particular metal or plastic.

Advantageously, the applicator member is made of a single machined or molded part. In this case, when the applicator member consists of at least two different materials, it can be obtained by bi-injection.

Advantageously, the second portion comprises a central recess. By choosing the dimensions of the recess, it is possible to adjust the hardness and the compression of the applicator member.

The applicator member has an application surface intended to be applied to the surface to be treated, which may be flat, hollow, for example concave, or curved, for example, convex. For applications requiring a homogeneous product distribution to apply a regular film, such as for example a self-tanner, preferably a flat or convex surface is used. For other applications in which a larger amount of product is applied, a concave surface may be used. In addition, the application surface may advantageously be inclined so as to favor a determined application angle.

Advantageously, the applicator member is covered, at least in part, with a flocking, a woven fabric, a nonwoven fabric, a porous or non-porous film. It is thus possible to obtain the touch that one wishes according to, for example, the product that is applied. In addition, the applicator member comprises elements, in particular in the form of pins, bosses, inscriptions, protruding from the application surface and extending over all or part of said application surface. . It is thus possible to modify the sensations provided by the application surface. The projecting elements also allow at least a portion of the application surface to have a stimulating function, massage, drainage or a function promoting microcirculation.

L'organe d'application présente une section transversale circulaire, ovale, ou polygonale, par exemple triangulaire, carrée, hexagonale, etc...The applicator member has a circular, oval, or polygonal cross-section, for example triangular, square, hexagonal, etc.

Preferably, the applicator member is fastened to the closure element in particular by snapping, screwing, gluing or welding. Preferably, the applicator member is mounted in the closure member so that the second portion is not visible from the outside while performing its function. For example, the closure element comprises a skirt covering at least partly the second portion.

The first and second housings are advantageously separated by means of a product-permeable element, in particular in the form of a grid, a sieve, a valve with a unidirectional opening towards the second housing, a layer of foam, a woven, or a nonwoven. Thus, the product present in the first housing can pass through the permeable element to reach the applicator member present in the second housing in which it impregnates.

According to another aspect, the invention relates to the use of an assembly as just described for the packaging and application of a cosmetic product in the form of a powder or a fluid, in particular a cream, a milk, a gel or a lotion, for example a blush, a blush, an eyeshadow, a lipstick, a foundation, a care product, a solar product, a hair product, etc ...

  • la figure 1 représente un premier mode de réalisation de l'ensemble pour le conditionnement et l'application d'un produit selon l'invention;

The invention consists, apart from the arrangements set out above, in a certain number of other arrangements which will be explained below, with reference to nonlimiting exemplary embodiments, described with reference to the appended figures, among which:
  • Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the assembly for the packaging and application of a product according to the invention;

With reference to FIG. 1, it is possible to see the packaging and application assembly 10 according to a first embodiment of the invention and schematically represented. This assembly comprises a cylindrical body which delimits a first housing 20 delimited by a cylindrical skirt 21, a first end 22 is closed by a bottom 24 and a second end 23, is closed by a transverse wall 60. The transverse wall 60 is an element perforated which has the shape of a grid. The transverse wall 60 separates the first housing 20 from a second housing 30, located above the first housing 20. The first housing 20 is intended to contain a product P which is for example a cosmetic or care product. The product P may be in liquid form, for example a liquid cream, or a liquid foundation, or in the form of a powder, such as, for example, a foundation, an eyeshadow or cheeks. The applicator 40 is impregnated by capillarity with the product.

The bottom of the upper housing 30 is formed by the transverse wall 60 and has a hemispherical shape. One end of the housing 30, opposite the bottom 60, forms a free edge 32 delimiting an opening 31. The outer surface of the housing 30 has a thread 33 intended to cooperate with a corresponding thread 51 provided on the inner surface of a skirt 52. a plug 50.

An applicator 40 of X axis, integral with the plug 50, is in the form of a block of a polyurethane open cell foam, of generally spherical shape shaped correspondingly to the hemispherical profile defined by the bottom 60 of the housing 30 According to this embodiment, the applicator 40 has a convex application surface 44 which is covered with a flocking coating 45. The applicator 40 is fixed to the cap 50 by gluing.

The applicator 40 is dimensioned relative to the housing 30 so that, in the closed position of the stopper 50, at least a portion of the application surface of the applicator 40 is in contact with the grid 60.

The applicator 40 is provided with a groove 410 opening on a lateral surface over the entire periphery of the applicator and oriented along a perpendicular plane This is, for example, an annular groove of cross section relative to the plane in which it extends in a U-shape with a square bottom. For example, the applicator 40 has an axial height H along the X axis of about 35 mm and its widest cross section has a diameter D of about 35 mm. The groove 410 has an axial height h approximately equal to 5 mm and a depth p approximately equal to 10 mm. It is obvious that one can use a non-continuous groove 410 formed on only a part of the periphery of the applicator.

All these dimensions as well as those which will be given in the following description are given for information only. It is obvious that these dimensions may vary depending on the size of the applicator and the desired effect. In addition, these dimensions correspond to dimensions measured in the absence of any stress exerted on the applicator.

During the application, the user removes the stopper 50 and applies the applicator surface 44 of the applicator 40 to the surface to be treated S, for example its face, as shown in FIG. the annular groove 410 reduces the pressing force exerted by the applicator on the face. Moreover, the applicator 40 adapts more easily to the surface of the face because the application surface pivots with respect to the gripping member, which makes it possible to obtain an angle of application of the surface that is different from the angle with which the user holds the gripping member.

With reference to FIGS. 3A-30, various examples of configurations of the applicator 40 according to the first embodiment can be seen. The applicator is shown alone, but it is obvious that it can be mounted in a set 10 of the type shown in FIG.

Comme le montre la figure 3B, les gorges 410 permettent de faire pivoter la surface d'application 44 par rapport à l'axe X.The applicator shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B is a block of polyester foam formed in one piece. The applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape having an axial height H approximately equal to 20 mm and a circular cross section of diameter D approximately equal to 50 mm. The applicator has a slightly concave application surface 44 formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. It is further provided with three annular grooves 410 which are also formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. grooves 410 all have the same axial height h, this axial height being furthermore constant throughout the periphery. For example, grooves of axial height h are chosen which are approximately equal to 2 mm. The interval i between two grooves is identical between two consecutive grooves. It is approximately equal to 2 mm. Finally, the depth p of each groove is slightly smaller than the central portion 46 of the applicator 40 located in the same transverse plane. The grooves have for example a depth p approximately equal to 15 mm. As shown in FIG. 3B, the grooves 410 make it possible to pivot the application surface 44 with respect to the axis X.

In Figure 3C, the applicator is slightly different from that described in accordance with Figures 3A and 3B. First, it has a convex application surface 44. In addition, it comprises four grooves 410 which are less and less spaced as one moves away from the application surface 44. The first and second grooves, starting from the application surface, are separated by an interval i approximately equal to 5 mm, the second and third grooves are separated by an interval i approximately equal to 3 mm, and finally the third and fourth grooves are separated by an interval i approximately equal to 2 mm. Finally, the depth of each groove is relatively small, namely that it is smaller than the central portion of the applicator 40 located in the same transverse plane. The grooves have for example a depth p approximately equal to 5 mm.

The applicator 40 shown in Figures 3D and 3E differs from that shown in accordance with Figures 3A and 3B in that its application surface 44 is planar. Furthermore, the applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape having an axial height H approximately equal to 35 mm and a circular cross section of diameter D approximately equal to 35 mm. In addition, the grooves 410 are four in number, of axial height h approximately equal to 2 mm. The grooves are relatively deep, their depth p being approximately equal to 15 mm. Indeed, the depth p of the groove is greater than the central portion 46 of the corresponding applicator located in the same plane. This results in greater biaxial flexibility. In addition, the presence of these grooves facilitates the introduction of the applicator 40 in its housing 30, because as seen in Figure 3E, the ends 47 of the portions of the applicator formed between each groove bend easily .

Selon cet arrangement, il est préférable d'utiliser des gorges 410 peu profondes, de profondeur p environ égale à 4 mm.In Figure 3F, there can be seen an applicator 40 consisting of a block of polyethylene foam formed in one piece. The applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape of axial height H approximately equal to 40 mm and of circular cross section which has a diameter D approximately equal to 35 mm. The applicator has a slightly convex application surface 44 formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. It is further provided with three annular grooves 410 which are also formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. grooves 410 are spaced two by two from an identical distance, approximately equal to 4 mm. The grooves 410 have for example a cross section to the plane in which they extend in the shape of V. The axial height h the largest of each groove is approximately equal to 4 mm. The applicator 40 is further provided with a central recess 43 of cylindrical shape. The central recess has an axial height H 'approximately equal to 17 mm and a cross section with a diameter D' equal to approximately 17 mm. The recess 43 is disposed in the second portion of the applicator opposite to the application surface 44. The recess adjusts the hardness and compression of the applicator member. According to this arrangement, it is preferable to use shallow grooves 410, of depth p approximately equal to 4 mm.

The applicator 40 shown in FIG. 3N differs from that shown in FIG. 3F in that its axial height H is less important than its width D. In addition, it has only a groove 410 of U-shaped cross-section. Moreover, it is provided with a recess 43 which extends over practically its entire axial height H and over a large part of its width D. The axial height H 'of the recess is indeed slightly less than the height axial H of the applicator so that the applicator has a small thickness below the central portion of the application surface 44. Such a configuration further improves the smoothness of application.

In Figure 30 there is shown an applicator which differs from that shown in Figure 3N in that it does not include a groove, and in that the recess this time has a frustoconical shape. The upper compressiblility portion 41 is this time solely due to the presence of the recess 43. The recess 43 has a cross section of diameter substantially equal to the diameter D of the cross section of the applicator at the base of the applicator to tap towards the application surface 44 to a diameter D '. The axial height H 'of the recess is slightly smaller than the axial height H of the applicator so that the applicator 40 has a small thickness below the central part of the application surface 44.

Leur profondeur p est relativement faible, par exemple environ égale à 5 mm.The applicator 40 shown in Figure 3G consists of a block of polyvinyl chloride foam formed in one piece. The applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape of circular cross section which has a diameter D approximately equal to 40 mm and an axial height H approximately equal to 50 mm. The applicator has a hollow application surface 44 formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X-axis allowing it to apply a relatively large amount of product. It is further provided with two annular grooves 410 which are also formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis X. The grooves 410 have a cross section at the plane in which they extend in a U-shaped rounded bottom. Their greatest axial height h is approximately equal to 5 mm and they are separated from each other by a distance i approximately equal to 5 mm. Their depth p is relatively small, for example approximately equal to 5 mm.

The arrangements of the applicator member shown in FIGS. 3H to 3L have an application surface 44 formed this time in a plane inclined with respect to the axis X.

La profondeur p de la gorge 410 est environ égale à 15 mm.In Figure 3H, the applicator consists of a block of polyethylene vinyl acetate foam formed in one piece. The applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape of circular cross section which has a diameter D approximately equal to 45 mm and an axial height H the largest approximately equal to 50 mm. The applicator has a substantially planar application surface 44 formed in a plane inclined with respect to the axis X. It is further provided with a single groove 410 of axial height h approximately equal to 5 mm. The groove 410 is formed in a plane perpendicular to the axis X. The groove 410 has a cross section at the plane in which it extends in the form of U with a square bottom. The depth p of the groove 410 is approximately equal to 15 mm.

In FIG. 3I, the applicator differs from that described in accordance with FIG. 3H in that it is provided with three grooves 410 of lower axial height h, approximately 3 mm, which are arranged in a plane inclined with respect to FIG. the axis X. They are arranged in planes parallel to each other and parallel to the application surface 44. The grooves 410 are spaced in pairs at a constant distance i, for example equal to the axial height of the grooves. The grooves have a depth whose component p along the axis perpendicular to X is approximately equal to 8 mm.

In FIG. 3J, the applicator is identical to that described in FIG. 31 except that the grooves 410 extend in a plane inclined with respect to the axis X which is not parallel to the plane of the application area 44.

Cette hauteur axiale h varie entre 3 mm et 6 mm.The applicator shown in FIG. 3K differs this time from that illustrated in FIG. 3I in that the three grooves 410 have an axial height h which is not constant all along the periphery. This axial height h varies between 3 mm and 6 mm.

The applicator shown in FIG. 3L differs from that shown in FIG. 3H in that it has a convex application surface 44. In addition, the single groove extends in a plane inclined with respect to the axis X, substantially parallel to the plane in which the application surface is formed. The throat has a depth whose component p along an axis perpendicular to X is approximately equal to 8 mm. The applicator 40 is further provided with a central recess 43 of substantially hemispherical shape.

According to all the configurations shown in Figures 3A to 3N, the groove or grooves 410 are formed on the entire periphery of the applicator, but it is possible to envisage alternatively, to form them on a part only.

According to another configuration shown in Figure 3M, the applicator 40 is formed of two concentric foam blocks 420 and 430 of the same kind, for example a polyether foam and different density, the central block 420 being of higher density than the outer block 430. The applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape of circular cross section which has a diameter D approximately equal to 45 mm and an axial height H approximately equal to 45 mm. The central block 420 is generally cylindrical in shape and has a diameter D 1 approximately equal to 31 mm. The outer block 430, of generally annular shape, has a radius R approximately equal to 7 mm. The applicator has a planar application surface 44 formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. It is further provided with an annular groove 410 which is also formed in a plane substantially perpendicular to the X axis. groove 410 is an annular groove of cross section relative to the plane in which it extends in the form of U with a square bottom. The groove 410 has an axial height h approximately equal to 5 mm and a depth p approximately equal to 5 mm. In addition, provision may be made to add axial grooves of the type to be described later in accordance with Figure 4 in the central block. According to the configuration illustrated in Figure 3M, the application surface 44 has a central portion 440 different from the rest of the application surface, particularly harder in the present example of the fact that the central foam block 420 is more density In the case where two concentric blocks 420 and 430 of different types are used, it is possible to choose a central block 420 having an abrasive function and an outer block 430 which is softer, or vice versa.

According to a not shown variant of this embodiment, the central block 420 is provided with a recess. According to another variant not shown, the central block does not extend over the entire axial height H of the applicator. According to another variant, the outer block partially covers the central block, that is to say that it does not extend over the entire axial height H of the applicator. According to this latter variant, the central block advantageously has a larger diameter cross section over the rest of the axial height so that the outer surface of the applicator is substantially continuous. Axial grooves or grooves of the type to be described later in accordance with Figure 4, are then formed in the portion of the central block of wider cross section. Alternatively, the outer block covers the central block over substantially its entire end adjacent to the application surface so that the application surface is substantially entirely formed by the outer block.

According to a second embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 4, the applicator is provided with grooves 411 formed along the X axis of the applicator. As for the grooves described above, the axial grooves 411 can take different configurations that are not shown. There may be a single groove or several grooves of axial height h more or less important, which may be constant or variable along the periphery of the applicator. The groove (s) may (wind) have a constant width I throughout their axial height or may vary along the X axis. When the applicator is provided with several grooves, these may all have the same width. width I or different widths. They may be radially spaced two by two in an identical or different interval. The grooves 411 may also be more or less inclined with respect to the X axis. In the example described in FIG. 4, the applicator has a generally cylindrical general shape with a circular cross-section that has a diameter D of about 33 mm. mm and an axial height H approximately equal to 45 mm. The applicator has a substantially planar application surface 44 formed in a plane perpendicular to the X axis. The applicator is provided with a plurality of grooves 411 spaced radially evenly a distance apart. about 8 mm. Each groove 411 has a width I approximately equal to 3 mm and an axial height h approximately equal to 8 mm.

According to this embodiment, the applicator is further covered with elements 70 projecting from the application surface. This is for example a relief printing.

Le reste de l'ensemble d'application est identique à celui décrit en conformité avec la figure 1.According to a third embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the applicator 40 is formed of an axial stack of foam blocks of different nature. According to this embodiment, the applicator is for example formed of three foam blocks 49, 413 and 48, each of generally cylindrical shape, stacked axially and glued together. The three blocks have for example an identical axial height H, for example equal to about 12 mm, and have a cross section of the same diameter D, for example equal to about 45 mm. The central foam block 413 is more compressible than the other foam blocks so as to promote the compression of the applicator 40. The foam block 49 defining the application surface is made of polyether, the central foam block 413 is in position. natural rubber (Natural Butadiene Rubber), and the third block of foam 48 is polyurethane. The remainder of the application set is identical to that described in accordance with FIG.

According to a fourth embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the applicator 40 consists of a thermoplastic elastomer sinter. It is mounted on the cap 50 by a spring 42. The spring makes it possible to partially absorb the pressing force exerted by the applicator on the face. Depending on the softness of the application that one wishes to obtain, one chooses a spring of stiffness more or less weak. The plug 50 comprises a skirt 51 which covers the spring 42.

It is obvious that in all the embodiments described above, it is possible to mount the applicator on a spring 42.

Advantageously, it can be provided that the applicator according to any one of the embodiments described above, is provided with a sheath of material compressible which envelops all or part of the second portion 41, including all or part of the grooves and / or grooves. The sheath is for example a skin which can be tight to the product or not. The sheath may further be covered with protruding elements. It can also be retractable.

In all the embodiments which have just been described, the applicator 40 may furthermore contain a water or oil-absorbing adjuvant, depending on the product which is absorbed in the applicator, so as to keep the product in the applicator. For example, a silica or an alginate will be chosen. Thus, the applicator can be saturated with product without it tends to flow out of the applicator. Applicator 40 may also contain antifungal agents and / or bactericidal agents. The applicator may also contain magnetizable particles.

In the foregoing detailed description, reference has been made to preferred embodiments of the invention. It is obvious that variations may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention as claimed hereinafter.
