Claims (14)

  1. A sealed electric apparatus (100) comprising a casing (110) containing a female electric socket (120) for the connection of an electric cable (C) provided with a male plug (PM), said casing (110) comprising a passage (116) for said electric cable (C), said passage (116) being sealed when said casing (110) is closed, said electric apparatus (100) being characterised in that said female electric socket (120) is adapted to pivot to give an optimum position for said electric cable (C) in said passage (116) for a plurality of types of plugs (PM).
  2. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 1 characterised in that said female electric socket (120) is adapted to assume at least a first and a second inclination making it possible to obtain said optimum position for said electric cable (C) when said male plug (PM) is of the type with a lateral outlet and of the type with a straight outlet respectively.
  3. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that said casing (110) comprises a cover (112) and a base (114) which are fluid-tight and sealing means (150, 160) adapted to ensure sealing integrity between said cover (112) and said base (114) when said casing (110) is closed and that said cover (112) and said base (114) each comprise a half-opening (113, 115) on a front face, said half-openings being united to form said passage (116) when said casing is closed.
  4. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 3 characterised in that said female electric socket (120) is mounted on a pivotal support (140) and that in said first inclination said pivotal support (140) is substantially parallel to a fixing plane of said apparatus.
  5. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 4 characterised in that said base (114) comprises an internal lip (130) defining a frame which is displaced in depth with respect to an edge (132) of said base (114), said internal lip (130) extending from side walls (135) of said base (114) and comprising a groove (150) surrounding said pivotal support (140), said groove (150) containing a sealing joint, and that said cover (112) has a skirt (160) shaped to assume a position in said groove (150) and compress said sealing joint when said casing (110) is closed.
  6. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 5 characterised in that in said second inclination said pivotal support (140) approximately forms an angle of 70° to said fixing plane.
  7. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 5 or claim 6 characterised in that it comprises a spring (170) which tends to return said pivotal support (140) to said first inclination.
  8. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to any one of claims 3 to 7 characterised in that said cover (112) and said base (114) each comprise a half-sealing joint (15) fixed on an internal part of a front face respectively, the half-joints (15) being adapted to co-operate to ensure sealing integrity of said passage (116) when said casing (110) is closed.
  9. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 8 characterised in that each half-sealing joint (15) comprises a rigid support (25) having an opening (30) containing a block of fluid-tight elastic deformable material (20) in which there are cutouts (35a, 35b, 35c) forming substantially coaxial recesses (50a, 50b, 50c) for said cable passage when clamping faces (45) of each half-joint (15) are in facing relationship and closest to each other, said fluid-tight elastic deformable material (20) extending on said clamping face (45) on respective sides of said opening (30).
  10. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 9 characterised in that the sections of the coaxial recesses (50a, 50b, 50c) are decreasing from an internal face (40) of said block of fluid-tight material (20).
  11. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to claim 9 or claim 10 characterised in that said recesses (50a, 50b, 50c) do not open on to an external face (60) of said block (20).
  12. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to any one of claims 9 to 11 characterised in that each half-joint (15) comprises plates (65, 65a) of fluid-tight deformable elastic material (20) on the top of said clamping face (45), said plates (65, 65a) being substantially parallel to each other and perpendicular to an axis of alignment of said coaxial recesses (50a, 50b, 50c), said plates (65, 65a) of each half-joint (15) being shaped to overlappingly engage into each other when said clamping faces (45) are in facing relationship and closest to each other.
  13. A sealed electric apparatus (100) according to any one of claims 9 to 12 characterised in that the block of fluid-tight elastic deformable material (20) is formed by a foam of flexible thermoplastic material moulded on to each rigid support (25).
  14. A sealed electric apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 12 characterised in that the block of fluid-tight elastic deformable material (20) is formed by a flexible thermoplastic material moulded directly on to said base and said cover.
