  • the invention relates to a component that consists at least partially of a material that is a mixture of glass and plastic.
  • the invention further relates to a method for producing the component.

  • Such mineral-filled plastics are known, for example, from EP 0 365 236 A1 as an alloy in the form of a melt mixture of at least one inorganic glass and / or a glass ceramic and at least one organic thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer; the proportion of glass or glass ceramic is 30 to 90% by volume.

Since the glass filler in known components is either exclusively fibrous or exclusively particulate in the plastic, it is not possible to choose one of the above depending on the functional section of the component. For example, a cover cap placed on a base for a relay would be desirable, in which the cover area is mechanically stable and at the same time the area coupled to the base and connected to it is thermally stable. In addition, the processing of the plastic becomes more and more difficult as the proportion of filler increases, since the fluidity of the known glass /
