Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Giessform (1) mit einem Formhohlraum (10) und einem die Wärme abführenden und den Formhohlraum (10) ausbildenden Giessformkörper zum Giessen von Gussteilen aus Metall im Formgiessverfahren. Die Giessformr enthält an der den Formhohlraum (10) ausbildenden Oberfläche eine Beschichtung (20) in Form eines Schichtkörpers mit einer Dicke von weniger als 5 mm trägt, wobei der Schichtkörper aus einem skelettartig aufgebauten, hochporösen Festkörper aus einem wärmebeständigen Werkstoff mit einer Porösität von grösser als 50% und einer Wärmeleitfähigkeit k von k < 1 W/mK besteht.
