Description

Beschreibungdescription
Sortiereinrichtung für flache SendungenSorting device for flat items
The present invention relates to a sorting device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
For sorting flat items, such as letters, postcards, packages and the like, according to the distribution information given on their surface, it is known to pick up, transport and deliver these items in a special container.
A sorting device is known from EP-A-0608161, in which flat objects are laterally transported from the outside into containers by means of a channel-shaped, locally fixed feeding device. These containers rotating in a closed loop are moved horizontally past the feed device and the items then fall into the sorting containers located below by deliberately opening flaps in accordance with the sorting instructions. To securely insert the mail items into the moving containers, either the items in the feed device must have a very high transport speed, which can lead to damage when the items in the container are braked, or the speed of the containers is very low or the containers stand during the introduction silent, which means a reduction in throughput of the machine.
In order to improve the transfer of the mail items into the container, the end section of the transport means of the feed device was designed so that it could be pivoted in such a way that during the transfer of the respective mail item this end section was pivoted with the same direction and speed as the moving container and is swung back again after the introduction. If it is necessary or advantageous to load consignments into empty rotating containers during the respective sorting process while other containers are still filled, the feeding must be coordinated with the position of the empty containers, ie if there is an empty container and the following empty container If there are several filled containers, the delivery of the mail items is interrupted until the filled containers have moved past the entry point. However, this stopping the delivery of the consignment results in an undesired throughput loss.
An important property of sorting devices is their dimensions, which should be as small as possible. According to the state of the art, these are essentially determined by the dimensions of the Ford loop, in which the containers circulate, and by the feed device with separating device and transport means located completely outside the Ford loop.
Der im Anspruch 1 angegebenen Erfindung liegt deshalb dieThe invention specified in claim 1 is therefore the
The object of the invention is to create a generic sorting device with at least one feed device and with containers rotating around a Ford loop for lateral reception, transport and controllable delivery of the items to sorting trays arranged along the Ford loop, which has smaller dimensions and which enables a higher throughput, when shipments are loaded into empty containers with containers that are already / or still filled.
By relocating the lateral openings of the containers for loading compared to the prior art into the interior of the Ford loop and arranging the means of transport of the feed device within the Ford loop in such a way that the mail items in the lateral openings of the containers in a horizontally oriented, semicircular conveying section transported, the required dimensions of the sorting device are reduced and when the end Section of the means of transport is no longer necessary due to the semi-circular container arrangement.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are shown in the subclaims.
So ist es vorteilhaft, den Endabschnitt des Transportmittels zusätzlich zum bekannten Schwenken für das Einschleusen der Sendungen in die Behalter so zu schwenken, daß die aktuell einzuschleusende Sendung innerhalb eines festgelegtenThus, it is advantageous to pivot the end section of the means of transport in addition to the known pivoting for introducing the mail items into the containers in such a way that the mail item currently to be inserted is within a specified one
Swiveling range can be loaded into an empty container without loading delay. If there are several full containers between the currently loaded container and the container to be loaded next, the speed of the consignment does not have to be reduced or even stopped in any case until the empty container has always reached the same place of entry, rather, the end point of the means of transport can be pivoted against the direction of transport at such a speed that the next item is conveyed into the next rotating empty container with the mailing speed maintained. This prevents larger throughput losses. After the end section has reached the end of the swivel range against the transport direction, it must of course be swiveled back to the beginning.
If the end section of the means of transport can advantageously be pivoted about the center point of the semicircular, horizontally oriented conveying section, the result is a simple construction and the pivoting range can be made relatively large.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the containers are inclined in the transport direction so that the mail items have a defined position in the container and slide securely into the trays. For this purpose, the orientation of the end of the transport route (entry point) corresponds approximately to this inclination. There is a vertical orientation at the pivot point of the means of transport to enable a simple pivot mechanism.
In order to ensure unimpeded shipment delivery and good accessibility, it is advantageous to arrange the separating device for the material input outside the Ford loop and below the container level. The means of transport then rises so inside the Ford loop that it ends up at the height of the container.
It is also expedient to design the means of transport as a shroud system in which the mail items are clamped between elastic belts and are transported, as a result of which the gap displacements can be kept low. In order to keep the length differences of the returning tapes small when swiveling, they are guided as close as possible to the swiveling point.
In a further embodiment, the stores m are divided into two groups of approximately the same size, the consignments being sorted one after the other, the items being sorted alternately into only one of the two groups. This makes it possible to load and unload the machine with one person without stopping the sorting process.
If the shipments are advantageously already loaded into empty containers when there are still shipments from the previous sorting run in containers, the throughput increases.
In a space-saving development of the invention, the reading device and, if necessary, further assemblies, such as measuring devices and printers, are arranged along the fixed part of the transport means.
Dabei zeigenThe invention is explained in more detail in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing. Show

The device for sorting shown in FIGS. La and b represents a conveying device with rotating containers 1 for one flat consignment standing on its narrow side. These containers 1 arranged in a row run in a horizontally oriented Ford loop with two semicircular conveying sections 2 and in between two rectilinear sections 3 in the direction of the arrow. Beneath the two rectilinear sections 3 there are open shelves 4, which are used to sort the mail items according to the current sorting plan. The containers 1 are combined in units of v each container 1. If a particular shipment is to be transported into a particular shelf 4, the container above the shelf is opened by means of a loading mechanism of these shelves 4, which is not shown but is known per se, and the shipment slides into the shelf 4. So that this is stored in the shelf Sliding runs defined, the container 1 are inclined in the transport direction, so that the lower parts in the transport direction are behind the upper parts. When the container 1 is opened, the mailing of the container orientation slides downward into the storage 4, in which the mailing then stands correspondingly obliquely on a narrow side and leans against a corresponding side wall. This prevents the shipments from tipping over to the other side, especially with empty trays 4, and making proper stacking impossible. The semicircular conveying sections 2 are guided on turntables 5. Is it necessary to have a large To process the number of consignments, it is of course also possible to increase the number of containers 1 in a loop with the same base area by circulating on two floors while keeping the shelves 4. In order to achieve a throughput that is as high as possible, overlapping processing takes place, ie, while mail items located in container 1 are being transported to the shelves 4, but this process has not yet been completed, mail items for one are already in the container 1, which has in the meantime become empty new sort run (different address area) loaded. The shelves 4 are either assigned to specific addresses / address areas, or the mail items are sorted into the shelves 4 in fixed sequences of breakpoints. If the shelves 4 are divided into two groups (each storage row corresponds to one group) and for the sorting runs carried out one after the other, they are sorted alternately into only one of the two storage groups, even if the working method overlaps. In the overlapping mode of operation, there may be several full containers 1 between two empty containers 1. In order to avoid that the consignment has to be slowed down or stopped until the empty container 1 is in front of a spatially fixed entry point, the end section of the transport means 7 has to reach the substance input in such a large area as possible to the next empty container at such a speed the transport direction of the container 1 be pivoted so that the consignment does not have to be stopped. When the end section has reached the end of the swivel area, it must be swiveled back into the swivel area.
To swivel with mog To carry out little effort and at the same time to reduce the base area of the sorting device, the containers 1 are loaded from the inside, ie the loading openings of the containers 1 are directed inwards. The mail items are separated from a stack in a separating device 6 of the material input and then conveyed by means of a cover belt system as a means of transport 7 to the semicircular conveying section 2 removed from the separating device 6. The subassemblies, not shown, such as reading device, sensors receiving the items, printers are arranged along the cover band system. The separating device 6 is located outside and below the rotating container 1, so that the stack of mail items to be separated and sorted can be conveniently fed. Under the obvious semicircular section 2, the
Shipments are transported inside the Ford loop to the other semicircular section 2 at the height of the container 1. Under the shelves 4 there is an emptying trolley in which the operator places the sorted mail items in an orderly manner. To do this, he takes the consignments from the open shelves.
The loading area, ie the end section of the shroud system and the semicircular conveyor section 2 are explained in more detail in FIG. The end section of the shroud system, consisting of shrouds 9, guide and drive rollers 10 and a sliding guide 14, is pivotable about the center M of the conveyor section 2. A sliding guide 14 with a larger radius of curvature was chosen instead of a roller with a small diameter in order to keep the stress on the mail items as low as possible during deflection. The swiveling range with the swiveling angle α is on the left side, so that sufficient tension between the shrouds 9 for clamping the mailings is generated simply by guiding the cover band 9 over the curved slide guide 14 with a smooth surface, for example Teflon , The cover bands 9 are as close as possible to the deflection and guide rollers 10.2 Center point M is returned so that the length changes during pivoting are only slight and can be compensated for by the elasticity of the shrouds 9.
The two end rollers 10.1 forming the entry point are adapted to the containers 4 so as to ensure that the mail items are shot into the narrow side openings. The end section is pivoted by means of a toothed belt 12 which is driven by a motor 13 and which is guided by means of a curved guide 11 of the end section which can be pivoted in the center M and has corresponding teeth. Due to the large gear ratio, high accelerations when starting and stopping are possible. Safety linings 15 are located in the semicircular front sections 2 on the outside of the container. The container 4 can be driven both with a rope and with a chain.
