Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cable elevator.
Conventionally, a cable elevator comprises an elevator car suspended on one of the two strands of a cable which, passed on a pulley overhanging the technical sheath in which the cabin is circulating, has its other strand which supports a counterweight.
To be driving, the pulley is then locked in rotation on a shaft rotated by a motor placed at the end of the shaft.
To obtain perfect adhesion between the cable and the pulley and prevent slipping during successive stops and starts of the cab, the diameter of the pulley must be large so that the contact surface between the groove of the pulley and the cable is sufficient to prevent slipping of the cable into the groove of the pulley.
To reduce the force required to drive the cab, the counterweight develops a force opposite to that produced by the cab and therefore limits the load to be driven.
The load to be moved is then equal to the differential between the weight of the cabin with the passengers and the weight of the counterweight.
The motor torque that drives this pulley via the shaft depends on the load to be moved and, more specifically, the load differential but also the diameter of the pulley.
The motor torque must be relatively important.
It is therefore necessary to use a high power motor which, therefore, has a larger footprint than for a lower power engine.
In addition to the motor, on the drive shaft of the drive pulley, a brake is positioned in particular for safety.
Thus, above the hopper in which the elevator car and its counterweight move, it is necessary to reserve a large space to accommodate the pulley, the shaft provided with its rotating guide bearings, the motor and the brake.
This space is usually called technical room or machinery.
The space occupied by this room is not marketable and, therefore, penalizes the cost of construction.
The toothed wheels, together with the racks, move and guide the cab.
The brake is then mounted on the motor drive shaft carried by the top of the cab.
Un tel dispositif est très bruyant.Such a device is very noisy.
To do this, the wheels are mounted so that they form the jaws of a clamp.
Such a device is complex and unfortunately has adhesion problems.
The invention proposes a solution for overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks.
- an elevator car suspended on one of the two strands of a cable which, passed on a pulley located at the top of a hopper, has its other strand which supports a counterweight and
- a means of moving the cabin,
- the means of movement of the cabin, carried by said cabin, is constituted by the outer face of the driving strand of at least one drive belt tensioned between two return members of which at least one of the two return members is motorized, this drive belt bearing on the outer face of a vertical guide and
- anchoring the cable, at least indirectly, on the top of the cabin induces a force applying the aforementioned leading strand on the outer face of the vertical guide.
The invention will be better understood using the following description given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the drawing which shows, schematically, a vertical sectional view of an elevator.
Referring to the drawing, we see an elevator 1 moving in a hopper.
Classiquement, l'ascenseur comprend :
- a
lift cabin 2 suspended at one of the 3A, 3A, 3B of a3B cable 3 which, passed on a pulley 4 located at the top of a hopper, has itsother strand 3B which supports acounterweight 5 and - a
means 6 for moving the car.
The pulley is carried by a shaft located above the hopper.
Instead of a single pulley, several pulleys can be provided.
The cab is usually guided in translation in the hopper. The same is true of the counterweight.
guide 9 vertical.
- the
means 6 for moving thecar 2, carried by saidcar 2, is constituted by theexternal face 7A of thestrand 12 leading to at least onedrive belt 7 stretched between tworeturn members 8, at least one of which tworeturn members 8 is motorized thisdrive belt 7 bearing on theouter face 9A of avertical guide 9 and - the
anchoring 10 of the cable, at least indirectly, on the top of the cabin and its offset causes a force F applying the aforementioned leading strand on theouter face 9A of thevertical guide 9.
This
La
Lorsque l'accrochage des câbles se situe dans le plan médian de l'arcade voire en un point situé à l'arrière de ce plan médian, on obtient un basculement A de la cabine et donc la création de la force F.When the attachment of the cables is in the median plane of the arcade or even at a point located at the rear of this median plane, we obtain a tilting A of the cabin and thus the creation of the force F.
It can be seen that the
The bottom of the cabin is thus close to the guide surface thus plating the leading strand of the
The width or cumulative width of the leading strands of the drive belts and the length of the driving strands determine the area in contact with the guide.
This surface in contact with the force applying the said leading strands on the guide partly determines the adhesion for driving the cabin.
Material must also be considered in support of each other.
To obtain this force F said application of the driving strand, the anchoring point of the cable of the cabin is offset relative to the vertical axis passing through the center G of gravity of the cabin so that is then exercised a vertical force P but also a force F oriented towards the vertical guide.
Ainsi plus la cabine est chargée, plus la force F développée par le poids déporté de la cabine est importante .Thus, the more the cabin is loaded, the greater the force F developed by the remote weight of the cabin is important.
This has the effect of increasing the adhesion of the drive belt on the vertical guide.
C'est là un aspect très intéressant. This is a very interesting aspect.
Such a cab drive device can reduce the size of the engine because the drive torque of the drive belt can be lower.
In one embodiment, the moving
In another embodiment, the moving means is located above the roof of the cabin and is applied to the rear of the guide.
It is the bottom roller which serves as pivot point.
The safety brake (not shown) will be mounted on the shaft carrying the pulley.
Thus, the drive function of the cabin of the suspension means of said cabin is separated.
Advantageously, the vertical guide on which the drive belt is based is at the rear of the cab or laterally.
Because of this position, the weight of the cabin is displaced and therefore produces a force directed towards the rear of the cabin and therefore towards the guide.
Advantageously, an offset of the anchoring point beyond the guide axis accentuates this force.
As indicated above, the adhesion depends on the force F, but not on the materials constituting the bearing surface of the guide and the driving belt or belts.
It also depends on the surface condition.
For example, one can use a belt whose face in contact with the guide is notched.
Such a drive mechanism will be advantageously usable on elevator cabs that move in a hopper with an inclined axis, the force F then being greater.
