Definitions
- the invention relates to connecting rails made of profiled Semi-finished products for electrical devices and apparatus for connection electrical components of electrical devices and apparatus with an external circuit, which for different high rated currents have the same outer cross-section and in a wall of the equipment in one of the named Cross-section adapted window opening added and are fixed to the wall by fasteners.
- connection rail of this type can in this way a plant Supply rail can be connected.
- the connecting rail is usually in the insulating wall of a device or fixedly arranged, for example, by Clamping screws can be done.
- the connecting rails adapted to the different nominal currents that the uniform cross-section consists of several sections is composed, which consist of copper or aluminum. Only sections are used for the highest intended nominal current made of copper while intended for the lowest Nominal current only sections made of aluminum can be used.
- the connecting bars have nominal currents in between Combinations of sections from the two materials mentioned on, e.g. B. a section of copper, three sections Aluminum.
- Connection rails of the type mentioned above can at the same time a known from DE 196 43 607 A1 Feature, namely a further projection (web, Rib), which serves as the axial positioning and support of the connecting rail on the wall of the housing of the device or apparatus serves. Additional fasteners are then either not at all or only needed in a simplified form. If screws are used, they can be screwed into a nut thread intervene in a known manner by means of an insulating material metallic insert nut or press nut on the wall is formed (DE 35 39 673 A1).
- the object of the present invention is therefore to To create connecting rails with the properties mentioned, that are inexpensive to manufacture.
- connecting rails are hollow with the same outer cross-section are formed and the remaining wall thickness the respective Rated current is adjusted.
- a current-carrying hollow arrangement is already in the US 3,597,713 described a device as a replacement for one High-voltage fuse shows in which a combination a vacuum switch with a control handle that, similar to a high or medium voltage isolating switch an eyelet for actuation has is shown.
- a hollow connector an electronic circuit is built into the device.
- This is indeed a current-carrying hollow part on an electrical Switchgear has become known, but this only serves housing another component of the device, namely the electronic circuit mentioned and not the regulation of the current carrying capacity of the component.
- a switching device described in US 3,953,695 has likewise hollow connection means. Through the cavity a coolant passed because it is a high current switching device acts and limits the dimensions of the connection means should be. In contrast to the invention is therefore not assume an outer cross section that one Corresponds to the maximum value of the current, the cavity of which depends on the intended nominal current.
- connection rails the current carrying capacity by means of the wall thickness the hollow rail regulates the conductive, current carrying Cross section forms. It follows that at lower Current strengths due to small wall thicknesses a larger one, respectively at higher currents through thicker walls a smaller internal cavity is present, which is down to a massive design with no void, at the highest Rated current. To the highest for this Rated current are the required external dimensions then the lead-through openings in the respective housings of the devices or apparatus.
- Bores may be required for connecting rails can be formed with or without a thread, for example for fastening purposes to the housing or against one axial displacement. These holes can be shared Axis can be arranged or offset from each other. To prevent the hollow connecting rails from deforming Clamping force of the passed through these holes or screws screwed into the thread of these holes can avoid between the cavities of the connecting rails suitable webs are provided to increase the strength become. This means regarding the production of the profile material possibly an additional effort, but has none Influence on the current carrying capacity.
- Cavity of the connecting rail also transverse to the longitudinal direction of the Connection rails running guide grooves for if necessary support webs to be inserted are provided.
- the one in this Guide bars to be inserted into the support webs can be removed from the made of the same material as the connecting rail but also consist of a different material.
- These inserted support bars serve the same purpose, like the molded one, namely the stabilization of the connecting rail against deformation of the hollow connecting rail by the clamping force or load by the Bolts passed through holes or into the thread screws screwed into these holes.
- the holes are formed with a thread, it can be advantageous to arrange them so that they are in one Web. This allows longer thread lengths which enables a higher load capacity of the screw connection.
- the connecting rails can be used to avoid mounting holes also with known stops for be axially fixed. You will then be fasteners known per se, for example Clamping screws, fixed in the axial direction. simultaneously or in addition, such stops can absorb axial forces and transfer it to the case.
- the Cavity or the cavities can be transverse to the longitudinal extent the connecting rail and be open on both sides.
- this version is advantageous as a starting material Extruded profile can be produced from the individual connecting rails of a width required in each case can.
- Figure 1 shows schematically a first embodiment of a Connection rail, for a low current.
- Figure 2 shows schematically a second embodiment of a Connection rail, for a higher current.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows a third embodiment of a Connection rail, with a cavity and mounting holes.
- FIG. 4 schematically shows a fourth embodiment of a Connection rail, with several cavities.
- FIG. 5 schematically shows a fifth embodiment of a Connection rail, with several cavities.
- FIG. 6 schematically shows a sixth embodiment a connecting rail, with a cavity and arranged therein retractable support bars.

- FIG. 8 is a top view of a connecting rail, with an indicated apparatus wall, shown.
- FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a connecting rail 1 for electrical devices and apparatus for a small Amperage.
- this connecting rail 1 has only one single cavity 2, which is essentially about their entire dimension.
- This connecting rail 1 has a thinner wall 3 adapted to the low operating current on. Since the outer dimensions, i.e. the outer cross section of the Connection rail 1 should represent a constant size the cavity 2 is proportionate because of the small wall thickness large.
- FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of a connecting bar 4 for electrical devices and apparatus for one higher current.
- this embodiment also points only a single cavity 5, which is essentially extends over their entire dimension.
- This connecting rail 4 has a thicker, the higher operating current adapted, wall 6 on. Because the outer dimensions, so the outer cross section of the connecting rail 4 is also a should represent constant size, the cavity 5 because of thicker wall thickness relatively small.
- FIG. 3 shows a third embodiment of a connecting bar 7 for electrical devices and apparatus with one Cavity 8, which extends essentially over its entire Dimension extends.
- This connecting bar 7 has holes 9; 10; 11; 12, which are provided for fastening purposes and optionally have a thread.
- the holes 9 and 10 are arranged in a common axis, what is required when using through bolts and the bores 11 and 12 are staggered, such as when using single screws can be useful. Then these holes are threaded Mistake.
- FIG. 4 shows a fourth embodiment of a connecting rail 13 for electrical devices and apparatus with several cavities 18; 19; 20, between which webs 21; 22 are provided. Holes are in this connecting rail 13 14; 15; 16; 17 provided in the area of the cavities 18, 19 and 20.
- the webs 21 and 22 mentioned serve to increase the Strength and, in addition, a deformation of the hollow connecting rail 13 by the clamping force or load by this Bores 14 to 17 threaded bolts or screwed into the threads of these bores 14 to 17 To avoid screws.
- FIG. 5 shows a fifth embodiment of a connecting bar 23 for electrical devices and apparatus, with several cavities 24; 25; 26.
- cavities 24; 25; 26 are those with a thread, not shown Bores 27; 28 arranged so that they are in a web 29; 30 are located. This allows longer thread lengths which enables a higher load capacity of the screw connections.
- FIG. 6 shows a sixth embodiment of a connecting rail 31 for electrical devices and apparatus with one covering essentially the entire extent of the
- Connection rail 31 extending cavity 32.
- This Embodiment has the profiled semifinished product transverse to Longitudinal axis arranged guide grooves 35; 36; 37; 38 on, in which if necessary support webs 33; 34 can be inserted.
- Support webs 33; 34 can consist of the same material, like the connecting rail 31, but can also be made from one different material.
- This inserted support webs 33; 34 serve the same Purpose like the molded one, namely the stabilization of the Connection rail 31 against deformation of the hollow connection rail 31 by the clamping force or load of through the holes 39; 40; 41; 42 bolts passed through or screwed into the thread of these holes Screws.
- no holes can be arranged in them become.
- FIG. 7 shows a seventh embodiment of a connecting rail 43 for electrical devices and apparatus with stops 44; 45 for axially fixing the connecting rail 43 in the appropriate housing.
- stops 44; 45 is the connecting rail 43 by suitable fasteners, for example clamping screws, in the axial direction fixed.
- these attacks 44; 45 absorb axial forces and these on the housing transfer.
- Figure 8 schematically illustrates one of those previously described Connection rails, e.g. B. the connecting rail 1 ( Figure 1) in plan view. As you can see, stretches the cavity 2 transverse to the longitudinal direction and is open on both sides. A wall of an apparatus housing 46 is also indicated, through which the connecting rail 1 extends.
- the advantages of the inventive solution are that uniform outer dimensions of the Connection rails can be reached, making spacers and the like does not apply. Uniform can be within one size Entry openings and thus uniform housing dimensions be used, which is a strong reduction the variety of variants and a cost reduction Has.
- the holes in the hollow profiles can be punched which is cheaper and cleaner than drilling.
- the connection technology simplified to one variant per size, which simplifies production. Due to the greatly enlarged Surface of hollow profiles that open laterally are better heat dissipation.
