Definitions
- the invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular for swimming pools consisting of a substantially cylindrical housing that is supported by a first Medium flows essentially axially, with the housing on its axial end connections for connection to adjacent pipe sections for the first medium, while a second medium over two separate connections extending radially to the housing one laid in the housing and flows through a spiral formed line, the spiral axis parallel runs to or is identical to the housing axis.
- Such swimming pool heat exchangers are used as the bathing water to heat the first medium with the aid of a heating water as the second medium, whereby the ratio of the volume flows of bathing water and heating water in the order of magnitude from about 5 to 1.
- the bath water flows through the heat exchanger in the axial direction and flows around the heating water pipe leading to Enlargement of the heat exchange surfaces in a spiral shape in the heat exchanger housing is misplaced.
- To reliably apply the helical cable to obtain is usually a cylindrical displacement body within the coil arranged the the bath water flow around the heating water pipe directs.
- Such heat exchanger designs are also for other areas of application known and so z. B. also with fuel coolers, as in DE-A 34 40 060 is disclosed.
- the present invention is based on this prior art Task based on a heat exchanger especially for swimming pools To be made available on the one hand by a reduced space requirement and on the other hand, due to simplified assembly and cheaper manufacture distinguished.
- the helical line for the second medium consists of a corrugated hose that the corrugated hose End sections extending in the axial direction that the separate connections for the second medium inside the housing in the axial direction Have sections, and that the axial end portions of the Corrugated hose inside the housing to the mentioned separate connections for the second medium can be connected.
- the use of a helical corrugated hose leads to the respective line length and the same inner diameter to one considerable increase in surface area (for example by more than twice), so that the heating water pipe can be shorter. Since also the corrugated hose can be bent to a large extent without any problems by using the corrugated hose coil also the coil diameter considerably reduce and even so far that you are on a displacement body in the can dispense with the central spiral area. Overall, you get a heat exchanger due to the reduced heating cable length, the reduced Spiral diameter and the correspondingly reduced housing diameter has a comparatively considerably reduced construction volume. By doing this The material savings achieved also make the manufacturing costs correspondingly clear to reduce.
- a particular advantage of the heat exchanger according to the invention is that that the connections for the second medium, in particular the heating water, even if they leave the housing in the radial direction, inside the housing in Have axially extending sections to which the connection to the axial End sections of the corrugated hose line takes place.
- connection between the axial end portions of the Corrugated hose and the sections of the separate connections are made in the interior of the housing expediently by that the corrugated hose end sections into the separate connections for the second Medium are plugged in and are fixed there by the plug connections.
- the stiffness of the helix ensures that the end sections of the corrugated hose by means of simple plug-in assembly in the axial sections of the above separate connections for the second medium and because of this Stiffness can be permanently held in the mounting position.
- the corrugated hose is in inserted a cylindrical housing shell of the housing, it being helical is laid in the housing shell and its axially extending End sections each cooperate with a holding element.
- This holding element has a cylindrical bore to which the corrugated hose is connected is and in particular inserted into the axial end portion of the corrugated hose is.
- the holding element is in its dimensions for fixing in the housing to the Adjusted internal housing dimensions and inserted and inserted into the housing hereby the corrugated hose against the housing and the one to be added later separate connection for the second medium.
- the unit of housing jacket, corrugated hose and holding elements is used by placed on each axial side of the housing shell, a housing end piece that carries a separate connection for the second medium. Attaching the housing end piece to the case shell is done in such a way that the separate Connection for the second medium to the holding element or the one carried by it Corrugated hose end can be connected media-tight, d. H. Corrugated hose end and separate connection for the second medium are aligned arranged and then fixed to each other, also simultaneously the housing end piece is fixed to the housing jacket.
- a holding element also a solid and possibly one-piece component of the housing so that the assembly of the corrugated hose from the open side of the housing and here the second corrugated hose end over separate holding element is set in the housing.
- the separate connection for the second medium either in one piece or as a separate component to the integrated holding element mentioned connect and thus to the first end of the corrugated hose, so that only the second separate connection for the second medium after installing the corrugated hose and fixing the second corrugated hose end by the holding element connected to the corrugated hose and the housing in the area of this second separate connection must be closed.
- the retaining pins can, for example, in the Holding elements provided hole to be inserted, preferably per Corrugated hose end at least two opposite holding pins.
- the first medium usually consists of the pool water, while the second medium through the heating medium or the heating water is formed.
- the present heat exchanger can also be used for cooling of fluids, the second medium then being opposite the Fluid temperature must have reduced temperature.
- it's natural also possible to use the heat exchanger for other media combinations for example for domestic water heating in gas boilers, fuel cells and the like, for waste heat recovery and more generally for a variety of Industrial applications, in the automotive sector etc. - wherever heat exchangers are usually used with cooling or heating coil design can be used.
- a common field of application of the present invention results from that the mentioned separate connections for the corrugated hose as a pipe bend are designed such that they start from a radial course outside the housing by crossing the housing wall inside the Housing in an axial direction parallel to or identical to the helix axis are angled, with these terminal axial sections of the Corrugated hose connected with its corresponding axial end sections becomes.
- This type of construction is particularly useful when heating swimming pool water used, which is why for the sake of simplicity and better illustration, but without any limitation, often from the special manifold design is mentioned, if in general terms to be taken on the separate connections for the second medium, the of course, basically also cross the front of the housing in the axial direction could.
- the housing for mounting the corrugated hose coil is expediently in several parts trained and it most useful consists of a cylindrical housing shell and two end pieces carrying the separate connections or the elbows, which are fixed, for example, by welding or gluing to the housing jacket are.
- the assembly would be carried out in such a way that the corrugated hose is brought into the spiral shape that the manifold on the end pieces be determined, unless they are integrally formed on this, and that then one bend each on an end portion of the in the cylindrical Housing jacket inserted plugged in corrugated hose, being simultaneously the housing jacket is brought into contact with the two end pieces and then all three housing parts can be fixed to each other.
- connection between the corrugated hose and the connections must also be made or bends to be medium-tight, for which purpose expediently between the corrugated hose end section and the axial section of the separate connection or Krümers a sealing element is arranged.
- a suitable one for this purpose Sealing element can be designed such that it is on the associated Corrugated hose end section is plugged in that it is the circumference of the corrugated hose overlaps on an axial length between at least two wave troughs, and that it engages in these at least two wave valleys with a positive fit, it also having on the outside of it which acts on the manifold end at least one circumferential sealing lip can be provided on the inside the exhaust manifold wall.
- Such a sealing element has the significant advantage that it is permanent due to its positive connection It is specified on the corrugated hose that it is also the aforementioned Plug-in assembly of corrugated hose and elbow favors and that it is above addition, just because of the static friction with corrugated hose and elbow is able to absorb larger pressures without the need for an additional holding element must fix the corrugated hose to the elbow.
- a sealing element is based on a corrugated hose end section to attach two commercially available O-rings, which in each have a trough and at least linear on the outside apply the entire end of the manifold.
- a locking means can, for example, by a barb-like Design create a snap connection.
- Another locking means can be formed in that the locking means in addition to the sealing element put the corrugated hose on and plugged it into the elbow is, the locking means in its diameter compared to the diameter the manifold should be dimensioned so that it is under tension abuts the inside of the manifold, with the locking means in addition should also engage positively in the corrugated hose.
- the axial section of the corrugated hose separate connection or elbow on its inside is smooth cylindrical, around the plug-in assembly and the insertion of the sealing element favor.
- the corrugated hose end section can be made from one Corrugated hose part formed in the axial direction by simple cutting to length exist or, in addition, somewhat reduced its flexibility by stretching be in the connection area with the manifold, if possible, only forces in the axial direction and not to let any laterally oriented forces take effect, like it would be the case with a highly flexible corrugated hose end, starting from the spiral circumference in the direction of the spiral axis bent radially inwards and there would in turn be deflected in the axial direction.
- the axial end section of the corrugated hose can be above it but also by welding the corrugated hose, for example attached smooth-walled tube are formed, which then the connector with the separate connection or manifold.
- the pipe on his Have groove-shaped recesses on the outside, in the O-rings for sealing the connector can be used.
- This embodiment is intended according to the invention expressly as a variant falling under the present main claim of the corrugated hose end section can be seen.
- the spacers are provided through which the first medium, ie especially the pool water, also this gap area between the housing and can flow through corrugated hose.
- the spacers should be designed in this way be that they favor and can favor the aforementioned plug-in assembly can accordingly be formed from spacer webs running in the insertion direction are molded on the inside of the housing shell; can also on the Corrugated hose coil O-rings that are placed opposite the wave crests protrude from the corrugated hose coil and so the necessary distance between the coil the housing and the coils among themselves.
- the spacers mentioned have the further advantage that the Corrugated hose is supported so that flow-induced noise emissions to be able to prevent.
- it is not only to improve the flow around, but also to prevent flow-related Noise may be recommended, one or more inflow bodies in the form of baffle plates in the housing and the corrugated hose coil use.
- a particular advantage of the simplified assembly of the Heat exchanger is that only those responsible for heat exchange Surfaces, i.e. the corrugated hose, must be made of stainless steel, while the separate connections or elbows and also the housing made of corrosion-resistant Plastic can exist, which increases the cost of the invention Have the heat exchanger drastically reduced again.
- the helical cable had to be connected to the Welded housing in the area of the radial openings and in connection with the radial connections are brought, so that also for the housing weldable, corrosion-resistant material, in particular stainless steel required was.
- the heat exchanger 1 shown in Figure 1 consists of an approximately cylindrical Housing 2 and a corrugated hose coil 3 installed in the housing.
- a first medium in the present case the swimming pool water via axial Connections 4, 5 flows into and out of the housing interior the corrugated hose coil 3 from a second medium, in the present case heating water flows through, the corrugated hose 3 at two L-shaped angled Manifold 6, 7 is connected through openings 8, 9 in the heat exchanger housing are passed through and protrude radially outwards where they are adjacent Line sections can be connected.
- connection of the axial corrugated hose end sections 10, 11 and the elbow end sections also extending in the axial direction 12, 13 is done by plugging into each other, each between corrugated hose and manifold a sealing element 14, 15 is arranged, which is positively in the terminal corrugations engages and but in the axial direction over at least extends two corrugations.
- the heat exchanger housing 2 is formed in three parts and consists of a cylindrical housing shell 16 and two end pieces supporting the elbows 6, 7 17, 18, to which the axial bath water connections 4, 5 are also formed.
- the assembly of the housing parts takes place as well as the assembly of the elbows and of the corrugated hose by axially interlocking, the housing parts together can be glued or welded.
- the connection of the Elbows on the end pieces by gluing or welding.
- both the axial end portions of the corrugated hose as well as the axial end sections of the elbows the helix and housing axis are arranged are the end sections mentioned in the heat exchanger 21 shown in FIG. 3, offset from the helix and housing axis arranged and in such a way that these end sections, based on the installation position is slightly shifted upwards until the outer diameter of the corrugated hose is aligned with the outer spiral diameter in the upper area.
- the heat exchanger housing 22 is constructed in three parts and consists from a cylindrical housing jacket 36, the two end pieces 37, 38 and a corrugated hose coil 23 with axially extending end sections 30, 31. Between these end sections 30, 31 and the end sections running in the axial direction 32, 33 of the manifold 26, 27 two sealing sleeves 34, 35 are inserted, a circumferential collar at the end facing the corrugated hose have, which serves as a stop when inserted into the manifold, since it is opposite the manifold protrudes outwards and the front of the manifold when inserted the manifold end portions acted upon.
- the axial connections 24, 25 of the Heat exchanger housing 22 asymmetrical, so offset to the housing axis arranged, in such a way that they with the uppermost housing wall in the installed position aligned to remove the air present in the heat exchanger housing and thereby reduce the risk of corrosion.
- O-rings 39 are on the Corrugated hose attached and serve as a spacer between the corrugated hose and housing jacket to the corrugated hose coil at a defined distance from Housing.
- FIG. 4 shows the second essential embodiment of the present invention.
- a heat exchanger 41 which consists of a housing 42 and one therein there is a helical corrugated hose line 43 for the second medium.
- the housing 42 is - similar to the housing 2 from Figure 1 - assembled from a cylindrical housing jacket 56 and two on the front ends of the housing shell attachable housing end pieces 57, 58, each one Connection 44, 45 for connection to adjacent line sections for the have first medium and separate manifold-like connections 46, 47 for the second medium.
- the design from FIG. 4 corresponds to that Figure 1
- connection for the first medium are similar to the design from FIG as well as the separate connections for the second medium more integral and one-piece Part of the housing end pieces 57, 58.
- the extend elbow-like connections 46, 47 for the first medium not up to the helical and housing axis, but are with their axial sections that are used for connection serve the corrugated hose, asymmetrical, i.e. offset to the housing and spiral axis arranged in such a way that these connections with the in the outer Spiral area from the helical extension in the axial direction deflected corrugated hose ends are aligned, so that the radially outer Section of the axially extending connection for the second medium aligned with the outer circumference of the hose coil.
- the holding elements 48, 49 have in the present Example 4 expanding legs 62a, 62b, 62c, 62d, through which they are inside the cylindrical Housing 56 are held.
- Inserting the corrugated hose end 50, 51 into the bore 60, 61 of the holding element 48, 49 takes place with the interposition of a sealing element 54, 55 in the form for example two O-rings.
- retaining pins 63, 64 are provided which dip into a wave trough of the corrugated hose 43 and also the holding element traverse, so once again for an axial fixation of the corrugated hose on the holding element to care.
- the mentioned separate connections 46, 47 for the second medium are with their in Sections 65, 66 running in the axial direction are aligned with the bores 60, 61 attached to the holding elements 48, 49 in a medium-tight manner and there by welding fixed, the housing end pieces 57, 58, the separate connections 46, 47 wear, can also be connected to the housing jacket 56 at the same time.
- the second holding element 49 is placed on the second corrugated hose end 51 pushed on, fixed by means of the holding pin 64 and in the housing jacket 56 to inserted against a corresponding stop 68.
- the tightness of the connections between corrugated hose and holding element and the corrugated hose itself are already checked on this pre-assembled module, i.e. before the Connections for the two media and the housing end pieces can be connected.
- the two housing end pieces 57, 58 which carry the connections 46, 47 and 44, 45, on the housing jacket plugged on at the end and the separate connections are made by vibration welding for the second medium in the region of its sections running in the axial direction to the holding elements 48, 49 and almost simultaneously the end pieces 57, 58 welded to the housing jacket 56.
- the present invention offers the advantage of a heat exchanger for any application and especially for swimming pools to be able to provide a reduction of approximately fifty percent for the same performance Weight, a significantly reduced construction volume and accordingly reduced Has manufacturing costs that can be further reduced by that the housing and the manifold or separate connections from inexpensive Plastic are made.
- the invention is distinguished Heat exchanger through a greatly simplified installation effort, as the Corrugated hose in one embodiment by simply plugging one into the other the elbows or separate connections can be specified.
- the Axial stiffness of the corrugated hose is also sufficient for a permanent tight connection, so that only one connection area at most between corrugated hose and elbow or separate connection, in particular, however, no connection area at all, by means of additional fixing means needs to be supported.
- the housing is made up of several parts, with different ones Division levels come into question. In particular, however, is recommended a subdivision into a cylindrical casing shell and two the manifolds load-bearing end pieces, which are constructed identically and therefore with the help of the same Tool can be made.
- the plastic material for the heat exchanger housing has the positive with the significantly reduced outside diameter Side effect that it is - especially due to the greatly reduced outside diameter - hardly compared to the remaining line sections for the swimming pool water stands out; only the two radial outlets for the heating medium are then an indication of the position of the heat exchanger.
- the connections on the axial housing faces for the bath water as well as for the heating water, which is why the radial orientation of the heating water connections in the present application cannot be avoided.
- This radial orientation also corresponds to the required one Installation conditions such that the heating water connections go out from the bathing water pipe and the heat exchanger towards one adjacent arranged heating device must be oriented.
- the present invention also extends to designs in which the connections for both media leave the housing in the axial direction.
