Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for injecting fuel into the Combustion chamber of a cylinder of a reciprocating internal combustion engine Diesel type at partial load operation according to the Obergebriff of claim 1.
  • the document EP 0 775 821 discloses a method for injecting Fuel in the combustion chamber of a cylinder of a slow-moving Diesel type two-stroke reciprocating internal combustion engine known Fuel enters the combustion chamber with two to four fuel injectors injected, with the injectors over the entire load range constantly are in operation. In particular, during the partial load operation is the for a Power stroke certain amount of fuel by means of only one injector injected, and in the next stroke the amount of fuel through the second injector injected so that through each injector alternately during each one stroke the required Fuel quantity is injected.
  • a disadvantage of this injection method is the fact that in particular incomplete combustion occurs during partial load operation in the combustion chamber, so that the combustion gases have a high proportion of visible smoke, in English as "visible smoke” referred.
  • the reciprocating internal combustion engine the diesel type to operate so that they are a more advantageous Running behavior has.
  • the object is achieved in particular with a method for injecting of fuel into the combustion chamber of a cylinder one Diesel type reciprocating internal combustion engine at part load operation, wherein each combustion chamber are associated with at least two injection nozzles by the Fuel is injected alternately such that during at least two consecutive working cycles with at least one No fuel is injected into the injectors, and that afterward during at least two successive working cycles of the no injector fuel is injected.
  • This method allows a higher zone in the combustion chamber To produce temperature.
  • the Fuel for a period of at least three minutes, preferably between 10 and 30 minutes, from the same injector or injected asymmetrically from the same injectors to thereby in the longer term to produce a higher temperature in the combustion zone.
  • An advantage of this method is that the number of thermal Load change compared to that in EP 0 775 821 disclosed method is reduced, which is favorable to the Material fatigue affects.
  • the locally higher temperature in and around the Combustion zone causes a reduction of the visible smoke.
  • the Injecting the fuel with only one nozzle has the advantage that the Fuel is injected longer over this nozzle, resulting in a stable, reproducible injection results.
  • a constant change between the individual nozzle during injection has the disadvantage a higher number of thermal load changes.
  • the fuel is injected in each case via a single nozzle.
  • Part-load operation leads to a lower overall temperature level in the Combustion chamber and at the combustion chamber components. That's why the through the uneven temperature distribution caused higher voltages limited the combustion chamber components, so that the combustion chamber components no excessive or critical voltages occur. Also the appearance of High temperature corrosion is due to a locally higher combustion chamber temperature excluded due to the lower total temperature level.
  • the inventive method is particularly for very deep Part-load operations of less than 15% of full load suitable, in particular for Partial loads between 1% and 3% of full load.
  • the inventive method allows an environmentally friendly Combustion in partial load operation, and has the decisive advantage that the visually disturbing, gray or black exhaust clouds avoided become. This is particularly advantageous for marine diesel engines.
  • the inventive method is suitable for the operation of stationary and moving two-stroke and four-stroke diesel engines, in particular for Four-stroke diesel engines with a cylinder bore of more than 150 mm or for two-stroke diesel engines with a cylinder bore of more than 300 mm in diameter.
  • connection and disconnection of an injection nozzle when switching to one of three modes of operation is advantageously carried out with a Switching function, which has a hysteresis.
  • switched so between the first and second partial load range be that, starting from the first part load range, at a partial load of 12.5% of the full load in the operating mode according to the second partial load range is switched, whereas, starting from the second partial load range, at a partial load of 17.5% of full load in the operating mode according to the first Part load range is switched.
  • Switching from one mode to the other can, for example, also be done such that a timing is used, so that after a certain time, for example, 20 seconds after the lower or exceed a given threshold, to another Operating mode is switched. Switching from one to the other Operating mode can also be abrupt, so with a larger Change of load, for example, 5%, immediately to another Operating mode is switched.
  • Fig. 1 shows a two-stroke diesel engine 1 with a plurality of cylinders 11 and Piston 10, in which the Caribbeanspiei between the crankshaft 2, the Fuel supply and the movement of the exhaust valve 13 electronically is controlled.
  • a high-pressure pump 4 With a high-pressure pump 4, the fuel over the Pipe 6 and the accumulator 5 of the injection nozzle 12 is supplied.
  • One Hydraulic system comprising the pressure pump 7, the pipe 9 and the accumulator 8 allows the position of the exhaust valve 13 to be actuated.
  • the longitudinally purged two-stroke diesel engine 1 has a centrally arranged Exhaust valve 13 and a plurality of cylinder cover peripherally arranged injection nozzles 12. Usually, such a Two-stroke diesel engine 1 two to four injectors 12 for fuel on.
  • Fig. 2a shows schematically the combustion chamber of the cylinder 11 with three peripheral and regularly spaced injection nozzles 12a, 12b, 12c.
  • This method example shows a partial load operation with one each single active injector 12a. Over the injection nozzle 12a is thus Fuel injected 14a, whereas via the injectors 12b and 12c in shown time no fuel 14a is injected. While at least two consecutive working cycles will be solely on the Injector 12a injected fuel 14a to thereafter during at least two consecutive working cycles fuel 14a only via the injector 12b and thereafter for at least another two successive working cycles only through the injector 12c inject. In a particularly advantageous method is during significantly more than two consecutive work cycles, for example, for 10 to 30 minutes, fuel from a single Injector 12a supplied.
  • Fig. 2b shows a method example in partial load operation, each with two simultaneously active injection nozzles 12a, 12b.
  • the fuel 14a, 14b also during at least two consecutive working cycles solely via the injectors 12a, 12b supplied thereafter during at least two successive working cycles solely via the injectors 12b, 12c, and then via the two injection nozzles 12c, 12a.
  • This method is repeated constantly.
  • the fuel 14a, 14b for 5 to 60 minutes, in particular 10 to 30 minutes via the same two injection nozzles 12a, 12b before injecting onto another pair of injectors 12b, 12c, is changed.
  • FIGS. 2a and 2b show just two examples of a multitude of possibilities, as in a two-stroke or four-stroke diesel engine each having two to four fuel injectors 12 per cylinder 11 by opening only a portion of the existing nozzles the Fuel 14a, 14b can be injected asymmetrically to thereby a longer and more stable injection duration and a temporarily uneven Temperature distribution in the combustion chamber, or a Combustion zone with higher temperature during a partial load operation too achieve.
  • each with a single active injector 12a, 12b, 12c particularly advantageous.
  • the injection nozzles 12a, 12b, 12c are for dimensioned operation at nominal load. To a favorable spray behavior It is therefore advantageous for low part loads to obtain the relatively low Fuel quantity through a single injection nozzle 12 a, 12 b, 12 c the Supply combustion chamber.
