Description

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The present invention relates to a an improved method and device orientation of individual fibers and / or filaments present in a veil, in particular from a card.

Etat de la technique à la base de l'inventionState of the art on which the invention is based

Sails are usually prepared to be worked to obtain tuffetés products, mesh, knitted or other, by carding followed by stretching in a direction orthogonal to the exit of the card. We usually observes that the average angle of orientation of fibers in a veil exiting the card is about ± 5 degrees to the direction of advance.

To modify the value of the angle, one could propose to stretch said veil. In this case, the value of the angle after drawing corresponding to the new orientation α, which is defined orthogonally with respect to the direction of advance of the web, is given by: tg (α) = e tg (5 °), where e is the ratio of web widths before and after transverse stretching.

Another possibility is to propose to make a passage in a crosslapper in order to to make a sheet comprising several folds, as example described in EP-A-0520911. Of preferably, this topping step is performed before passing through a stretcher.

On the other hand, the Applicant has developed a particular technique called "technique of verticalization "that allows the realization of products textiles from a web of fibers and / or filaments individual. This technique has already been the subject of numerous publications since 1991, and has been described in particularly in WO91 / 00382, WO96 / 10667, WO97 / 05315 and WO98 / 36119. It consists in proposing the production of a textile product directly from fibers and / or filaments flowing in the direction of advance in the form of a veil, this method comprising at least a step called "loopback step" in which the fibers and / or filaments individually looping transversally to the direction advance of the veil, possibly accompanied by stretching transverse.

This technique allows the realization of textile products intended for the production of coatings of soil in the form of tuft as described in WO91 / 00382, the production of products mesh as described in WO96 / 10667 or the production of coated products as described in WO98 / 36119.

Nevertheless, to operate this verticalization technique, it is important that the web of fibers and / or starting filaments has a low weight per unit area (preferably between 10 and 50 g / m 2 ). On the other hand, it is necessary that the majority of the elements constituting the web, that is to say the fibers and / or filaments, have an orientation angle with respect to the direction of advance of the web between 5 and 45 degrees, and preferably between 15 and 25 degrees.

For this purpose, and in particular in the WO91 / 00382, a pre-stretching step has been provided that the constituent elements of the veil (the fibers and / or filaments) have the right entry angle before undergoing the so-called verticalization stage which consists of to be printed individually on the constituent elements of veil cross-looping accompanied by stretching and followed by an accumulation of said fibers and / or filaments particularly well parallelized in the form of loops in to constitute a pseudo-thread.

The pre-stretch stage consists of to pass a veil of low density in a game of interpenetrating discs that force the veil, possibly from the card, to undergo a closure on a width greater than that of the product to be produced. We then let the fibers recover by resilience a flat position they get by extension in the sense of width, allowing the fibers to rotate towards a new orientation.

As described in WO91 / 00382, this pre-stretching step involves submitting the veil to a set of disks spaced a distance j (gauge) arranged on two trees. The discs of the two trees are positioned in staggered relation to each other and interpenetrate over a distance d which makes it possible to define the amplitude of the loop and therefore the draw value, let e ≅ 2 j / d and therefore define α.

The device described in the prior art has been proven and proven effective in an industrial context. Nevertheless, a certain number of disadvantages remain, in particular:
  • In the case of a high value of e: in this case, the resilience of the fibers reaches its limit. Beyond e = 2, the undulations tend to turn into folds and persist in the stretched veil thereby creating irregularities.
  • In the case of large working widths: for widths greater than 4 meters, a ripple generated in the center of the veil can only "relax" by pushing its neighbors. In this case, the intrinsic resilience of the fibers contained in a single corrugation will be insufficient to push the full width of the web. It also depends strongly on the type and nature of the fibers used.
  • In the case where it is desired to obtain a value of e that can be modulated over the width of the veil, which can prove very useful in the case where it is desired to correct the weight curves of the veil: indeed, the veil has tend to be slightly heavier in the center than on the sides.
  • In the case where it is desired to generate sails starting from elements of very small width such as ribbons, filaments or cables.

Buts de l'inventionGoals of the invention

The present invention aims first of all at propose a solution that allows to modify the width of the sail, possibly from the card.

More particularly, the present invention aims to propose a veil that will undergo the process of verticalization and in which the fibers and / or filaments individuals have the appropriate orientation.

The present invention also aims to allow, in addition to adequate orientation of the fibers at within said web, an isotropic orientation of said fibers.

Finally, the present invention aims at complementary to allow the realization of a veil with condensation of fibers, particularly in the case of a preparation of a dense product.

Description détaillée de plusieurs formes d'exécution de l'inventionDetailed description of several forms of execution of the invention

The present invention has been described by referring to verticalization techniques described more especially in previous publications of the Applicant, and in particular in publications WO91 / 00382 and WO98 / 36119.

The principle underlying this The invention therefore aims to prepare the fiber web and / or filaments, and more particularly to adjust the angle said individual fibers and / or filaments of the veil will be subjected to the stretch-looping stage such as described in detail in the various publications earlier.

However, the process described herein invention can also be used for the constitution of sails intended for conventional needling techniques, calendering, chemical consolidation or consolidation ultrasound as described extensively in the state of art.

More particularly, the process on which the present invention is based may make it possible to produce sails with a weight ranging from the conventional range of 10 to 50 g / m 2 up to values of 100 to 300 g / m 2 , and this without difficulties.

Similarly, the process underlying this invention will allow the realization of sails having a variable width ranging from 0.5 to several meters without difficulties.

Unlike what was described in the publication WO91 / 00382, where it was proposed to carry out the pre-looping through an entanglement of a first set of discs arranged on a first tree and a second set of discs arranged on a second shaft, the present invention proposes to achieve an adequate orientation of the elements constituents of the veil by pre-coupling thanks to a set of curler discs arranged on a first tree and driven in rotation at a continuous speed, which cooperate with curly fingers that are fixed and whose profile allows the commitment and then the training of the material. AT the outcome of this precoupling, it retains by means of blocking the constituent elements of the veil that are the fibers and / or filaments on a regular basis and the expansion of these fibers and / or pre-beaded filaments of to obtain fibers and / or filaments with larger ripples. We then spread these large undulations.

Figures 1 and 2 show views in cut and from above a first embodiment of a device for implementing the method of prebouqueting according to the present invention allowing the orientation of the individual fibers and / or filaments. present in a veil. This device includes a first set of disks 11 loops arranged according to a gauge j on a first transverse common shaft 10 and between which are arranged curling fingers 12 constituting a first game of looper elements. The curlers 11 are rotated at continuous speed and constant preference while curly fingers 12 are fixed.

Avantageusement, selon cette première forme d'exécution, on se propose de disposer régulièrement un doigt boucleur fixe 15 plus long que les autres doigts boucleurs 12 tous les 2 à 20 doigts boucleurs 12, de préférence tous les 3 à 10 doigts boucleurs 12, soit avec une jauge (n x j) où 2 ≤ n (entier) ≤ 20.Advantageously, according to this first form execution, it is proposed to have a regular Fixed looper finger 15 longer than other fingers loops 12 every 2 to 20 looper fingers 12, of preferably every 3 to 10 looping fingers 12, or with a gauge (n x j) where 2 ≤ n (integer) ≤ 20.

In this way, the presence of the finger Looper 15 longer will appear at regular intervals either all (2 x j) to (20 x j). These curler fingers more long 15 therefore constitute the blocking elements defined above.

Figure 3 describes three successive fibers f1, f2 and f3 driven by the device according to this first form of execution. We clearly observe different successive stages to which these three fibers f1, f2 and f3 at different times in the progression of the veil in the device.

La période des fibres f2 reste j.We note in fact that the fibers f1 which have just been (pre) looped by the finger system short loops 12/11 looper discs are still kept stretched between the short looping fingers 12 and the looper disks 11 in the form of small corrugations having a ripple value or period j. The looping discs 11 continue to push the fibers f1 until they leave the end of the short curler fingers 12. At this moment, the fibers f1 no longer under tension will seek by their resilience to expand and take the form of fibers as represented by f2 without however leave the looping discs 11. The period of the fibers f2 stay j.

A ce stade, on a réalisé de grandes ondulations avec une valeur d'ondulation ou période (n x j), où n est la fréquence à laquelle les doigts boucleurs longs 15 sont disposés entre les doigts boucleurs courts 12. n est donc un nombre entier compris entre 2 et 20.Thanks to the inter-fiber cohesion of the veil, fibers such as fibers f2 will be removed from looper discs 11 by the fibers arranged downstream and to be able to expand fully while being maintained in the limits of long looper fingers serving as means as shown for fibers f3. AT at this stage, we made big waves with a ripple value or period (n x j), where n is the frequency at which long looping fingers 15 are arranged between the short looping fingers 12. n is therefore an integer between 2 and 20.

The gauge j, that is to say the distance between two looper disks 11 or two short looper fingers 12 consecutive, is preferably weak, that is to say between 2 and 15 mm, and more particularly between 5 and 10 mm. This ensures a more even stretching. Starting from a relatively low tonnage allowed to stretch the veil very evenly and homogeneous, which would not have been possible if we had used as a loop gauge the gauge corresponding to the long looping fingers 15, the gauge (n x j).

Large period ripples (n x j) are conveyed to the spreading carpet 100 which presents itself in the form of several straps or belts 101,102,103, ... of any section, and which allow collect the fibers by gravity or even through a slight suction, at the exit of the longest fingers 15. Such straps or belts 101,102,103, ... are arranged in a divergent manner, as shown in Figure 4, and so flares in the plane of the veil and thus allow to accompany the undulations while controlling their flattening.

Preferably, the number of looper fingers long 15 is equivalent to the number of strips.

Proposing a spreading mat is presenting in the form of belts advantageously allows to completely flatten the veil and thus to widen it.

In a particularly advantageous way, appropriate mechanical means should be allowing the longitudinal component (ie in the direction of advance of the belt) of each belt be slightly different, so that the speed in advance at each transversal point of the veil either equivalent.

Thanks to the intrinsic cohesion of the veil, downstream fibers already present between the belts are going drive the fibers located on the long looper fingers 15. This device has the advantage of simplifying the general device but nevertheless requires the presence sufficiently cohesive (and therefore sufficiently heavy).

According to another preferred embodiment, the method according to the present invention can be with the device described in FIGS. 5 and 6. device comprises on the one hand a first set of discs loopers 11 carried on a first common transverse axis 10 and driven in continuous rotation at a first speed V1, between which are arranged a set of curly fingers short 12. This first set of discs 11 and this set of fingers loopers 12 have a gauge j. Downstream of this game of 11 looper disks and in the extension of some looper fingers 12 is arranged another set of records 25 also carried on a transverse common axis 20 parallel to the first axis 10.

This other 25 disc game is called a game of "detaching disks" and has a gauge (n x j) where n is an integer between 2 and 20. Indeed, we have disposed a detacher disc 25 at regular intervals in the extension of some of the curly fingers 12 all the (n x j) curling fingers 12.

The detacher discs 25 are also driven in continuous rotation at an equivalent speed V2 at the speed V1 of the first disks 11 and this in the same way.

The formation of the undulations of the fibers is described in Figure 6 and corresponds exactly to what previously described in relation to FIG. difference that the role played by long curly fingers 15 is this time played by the detaching discs 25.

In this case, the discs 25 rotating in the same direction as the looping discs 11 will undo the ripples of the first set of records looper 11 and lead them positively to the carpet spreader 100 which is composed of several belts 101,102,103, ... slightly divergent, as shown in Figure 4.

Avantageusement, les disques détacheurs 25 pénètrent légèrement entre les courroies 101, 102, 103 ....Advantageously, the detaching discs 25 penetrate slightly between the belts 101, 102, 103 ....

The big waves are simply smoothed by the diverging belts at the same time as the sail finds its new breadth.

Again, the number of detachers corresponds to the number of belts.

Using such devices, we understand that we can compensate for the lack of resilience of the fibers placed in the sail at the exit of the card after their looping by performing a higher stretch, and this in one only step. By an individual adjustment of the penetration fingers inside the discs as well as by the variable adjustment of the flaring angles of the belts, one can modulate the value of the stretching by slices and thus correct the weight curves of the veil.

Moreover, by playing on the gauge and suggesting a thinner gauge as well as proposing particular belts, one can stretch elements components of the veil which may be fibers, filaments and even ribbons or big threads with a narrow width.

By voluntarily choosing a very thin, continuous filament ribbons can be stretched breaking them to obtain fibers whose length average will depend on the gauge.

En particulier, un tel dispositif permet d'obtenir un taux de condensation pouvant atteindre 500% alors que les dispositifs classiques atteignent au maximum des valeurs de l'ordre de 80%.Figure 7 shows a variant of the device described in Figure 5 and which allows to achieve condensation of fibers and / or filaments with a view to make a thicker mattress. In particular, such device makes it possible to obtain a condensation rate which can reach 500% while conventional devices reach values of the order of 80%.

According to the present invention, and as represented in FIG. 7, the device comprises, upstream of the first set of 11 looping disks worn on a first common transverse axis 10, driven in rotation continues at a speed V1, and between which are arranged looper fingers 12 forming a first set of elements Looper 12, a second set of Looper Disks 51 on a second transverse common axis 50, driven in continuous rotation at a speed V5, and between which fixed looper elements 52 which form a second set of looping elements.

These two sets of looper disks 11 and 51 have a gauge j. As previously described, at this first set of curler discs 11 is associated with a set of detachers 25 but having a gauge (n x j).

In order to effect the condensation of fibers, the V5 drive speed of the second set of Looper disks 51 is greater than speed V1 training of the first set of disks 11. This allows to "condense" the fibers and therefore the accumulate before they are driven by the whole looping discs 11 / looping fingers 12.

In this way, a mattress of any weight up to values of 300 g / m 2 can be produced which can be used in calendering, glazing, chemical consolidation, ultrasonic consolidation, etc.

It should be noted that the condensation shown in Figure 7 could also to be used with the first preferred embodiment of the invention described above, that is to say that using long looping fingers 15 as blocking elements.

Etirage transv. a first set of fixed looping elements (12), said looping elements (12) being arranged between said looping discs (11), the set of looping discs (11) and the set of looping elements (12) having a defined gauge (j) so as to cause the fibres and/or filaments to be pre-looped with a crimp value or period (j),
blocking elements (15, 25) regularly arranged with a gauge (nxj) where n is an integer comprised between 2 and 20, which are intended to block the pre-looped fibres and/or filaments over a crimp value or period (j) at regular intervals of a length (nxj), and
a spreader (100) for flattening the fibres and/or filaments.
  3. The device according to claim 2, characterised in that the looping elements (12, 15) are looping fingers.
  4. The device according to claim 3, characterised in that the blocking elements consist of looping fingers (15) which are longer than the other looping fingers (12) and which are present every 2 to 20 consecutive looping fingers.
  5. The device according to claim 3, characterised in that the blocking elements consist of another set of detaching discs (25) carried on a common transverse axis (20) and driven in continuous rotation at a speed corresponding to the rotation speed (V1) of the looping discs (11).
  6. The device according to claim 5, characterised in that the detaching discs (25) are arranged in the extension of some of the looping elements (12).
  7. The device according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the spreader (100) consists of a set of individual belts (101, 102, 103, etc.) arranged divergently.
  8. The device according to claim 7, characterised in that the number of individual belts (101, 102, 103, etc.) corresponds substantially to the number of blocking elements.
  9. The device according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the blocking elements penetrate slightly between the different individual belts (101, 102, 103, etc.).
  10. The device according to any one of claims 7 to 9, characterised in that mechanical means are provided to slightly vary the longitudinal speeds of the belts, such that the feed speed at any transverse point in the web is equivalent for all the belts (101, 102, 103, etc.).
  11. The device according to any one of claims 2 to 10, characterised in that it further comprises condensation means of the fibres and/or filaments arranged upstream the first set of looping discs (11) and the first set of fixed looping elements (12).
  12. The device according to claim 11, characterised in that the condensation means of the fibres consist of a second set of looping discs (51) carried on a second common transverse axis (50) and driven in continuous rotation at a speed (V5) and between which fixed looping elements (52) are arranged, forming a second set of looping elements, the second set of looping discs (51) and the second set of fixed looping elements (52) having the same defined gauge (j) as the first set of looping discs (11) and the first set of fixed looping elements (12), the rotation speed (V5) of the second set of looping discs (51) being greater than that of the first set of looping discs (11).
