  • This ensemble is mounted, before insertion of the dummy bar, within the ingot mould, as has already been described for the element 1.
  • Figure 5 shows a possible cross sections of the said seal element 10, which is roughly U-shaped, and provided with a continuous raised part 2 having a roughly wedge-shaped cross section.
  • Figure 9 shows another variant of the cross section of the seal element, which in this case has the shape of a frame fitting only around the peripheral edge of the dummy bar head and leaving open the central part, to provide space for a hook 13 to couple with a correspondent hook 11 solidarily fixed to the rigid plate 8.

Claims (15)

  1. Méthode de fermeture hermétique d'un assemblage moule à lingots/barre factice dans une installation de moulage en continu comprenant les phases suivantes :
    a) fourniture d'un élément de fermeture hermétique préformé,
    b) montage dudit élément de fermeture hermétique à l'intérieur du moule à lingots quand celui-ci se trouve à l'extérieur de la ligne de moulage utilisée,
    c) introduction de la barre factice dans ledit élément de fermeture hermétique,
    d) fixation de ladite barre factice sur ledit élément de fermeture hermétique au moyen de dispositifs de serrage.
  2. Méthode selon la revendication 1, comprenant la phase de montage dudit élément de fermeture hermétique dans ledit moule à lingots quand ce dernier se trouve à l'extérieur de l'installation de moulage.
  3. Méthode selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle prévoit ledit élément de fermeture hermétique, dans une perspective de plan, avec une forme similaire à la section horizontale interne du moule à lingots avec lequel il sera utilisé, et les dimensions linéaires des côtés légèrement plus larges que les dimensions des côtés correspondants du moule à lingots.
  4. Méthode selon la revendication 3, caractérisée en ce qu'elle prévoit les dimensions linéaires des côtés dudit élément de fermeture hermétique plus larges que les dimensions des côtés correspondants du moule à lingots dans une fourchette de variation pouvant aller de 0,1 à 4 %.
  5. Méthode selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle prévoit une fermeture hermétique entre la barre factice et le moule à lingots au moyen d'une déformation du côté dudit élément de fermeture hermétique forcé entre les parois internes du moule à lingots (5) et la barre factice (7).
  6. Méthode selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que ledit élément de fermeture hermétique (1) est pourvu d'un côté ayant une partie relevée (2) s'étendant grossièrement à angles droits vers le plan de l'élément de fermeture hermétique et s'intégrant à celui-ci, ladite partie relevée qui se projette ayant une section transversale grossièrement triangulaire et étant forcée, pendant l'utilisation, entre la barre factice et les parois internes du moule à lingots.
  7. Elément de fermeture hermétique (1) pour garantir une fermeture hermétique entre une barre factice (7) et un moule à lingots (5) dans une installation de moulage en continu, et ayant, dans une perspective de plan, une forme plate correspondant à celle du moule à lingots (5) où il est introduit, pourvu d'une portion intégrante (2), le long de son côté périphérique, se projetant à un angle substantiellement droit vers ledit corps plat, ladite partie de projection (2) ayant une section transversale substantiellement triangulaire diminuant en pointe vers la masse de la barre factice (7), où la partie centrale de l'élément de fermeture hermétique (1) consiste en un corps plat relativement fin pourvu d'un orifice central relativement petit (3) pour le passage des dispositifs d'accrochage (6) sortant en saillie de ladite barre factice (7), en mesure d'accrocher cette dernière au corps de moulage en continu, et en ce que l'élément de fermeture hermétique (1) possède des dimensions linéaires des côtés légèrement plus grandes que celles des côtés internes correspondants du moule à lingots, de façon à s'adapter pour être montés dans le moule à lingots (5) quand la barre factice (7) se trouve à l'extérieur de l'installation de moulage et être maintenus en position par des dispositifs de frottement avec cette dernière.
  8. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 7, comprenant une plaque rigide (1) pourvue de dispositifs de consolidation (11) avec la barre factice (7).
  9. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 7, comprenant une plaque flexible (1, 14) pourvue de dispositifs de consolidation (11) avec la barre factice (7).
  10. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 8 ou 9, comprenant une pluralité de segments séparés montés le long du côté de ladite plaque.
  11. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 8 ou 9, où lesdits dispositifs de consolidation (11) sont accrochés à ladite barre factice (7) de façon à pouvoir être dégagés.
  12. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 9, où ladite plaque flexible (14) est pourvue d'une plaque rigide de renforcement (12).
  13. Elément de fermeture hermétique (1) pour garantir une fermeture hermétique entre une barre factice (7) et un moule à lingots (5) dans une installation de moulage en continu, et ayant, dans une perspective de plan, une forme plate correspondant à celle du moule à lingots (5) où il est introduit, pourvu d'une portion de fermeture hermétique périphérique (2), se projetant à un angle substantiellement droit vers ledit corps plat, ladite section de fermeture hermétique périphérique (2) ayant une portion transversale substantiellement triangulaire diminuant en pointe vers la masse de la barre factice (7), où la partie centrale de l'élément de fermeture hermétique (1) consiste en un corps plat relativement fin pourvu d'un orifice relativement petit (3) pour le passage des dispositifs d'accrochage (6) sortant en saillie de ladite barre factice (7), en mesure d'accrocher cette dernière au corps de moulage en continu, et en ce que ladite portion périphérique est montée le long du côté dudit corps plat et possède des dimensions linéaires des côtés légèrement plus grandes que celles des côtés internes correspondants du moule à lingots, de façon à s'adapter pour être montés dans le moule à lingots (5) quand la barre factice (7) se trouve à l'extérieur de l'installation de moulage et être maintenus en position par des dispositifs de frottement avec cette dernière.
  14. Elément de fermeture hermétique selon la revendication 13, où ladite portion de fermeture hermétique périphérique (2) se compose d'une pluralité de segments séparés (10).
  15. Utilisation dans un processus de moulage en continu d'un élément de fermeture hermétique (1) selon une revendication quelconque parmi les revendications allant de 7 à 14, qui est monté dans le moule à lingots (5) avant que la barre factice (7) ne soit introduite dans ce dernier.
