Abstract
Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere, die durch Umsetzung von i) Homokondensaten basischer Aminosäuren, Kondensaten von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und/oder Cokondensaten aus basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen erhältlich sind, und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung durch Umsetzung von i) Homokondensaten basischer Aminosäuren, Cokondensaten von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und Cokondensaten von basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen.

Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere und Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung

Technisches Gebiet
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung.
Stand der Technik
US-PS 5,028,689 betrifft thermoplastisch formbare, leicht verzweigte aliphatische Copolyamide hohen Molekulargewichts mit erhöhten Schmelzviskositäten. Die Herstellung der Copolyamide erfolgt durch Polykondensation einer Monomermischung aus einem oder mehreren actamen, Aminocarbonsäuren, Diamin/Dicarbonsäure-gemischen oder deren Mischungen in Gegenwart von geringen Mengen von beispielsweise Lysin oder einem Lysinester eines niederen Alkohols und einer der freien Aminogruppe des Lysins oder Lysinesters in etwa äquivalenten Menge einer Polycarbonsäure. Die verwendete Lysinmenge führt zu Copolyamiden, die 0,1 bis 1,0 Gew.-% Lysinsegmente enthalten. Durch die dem Monomeransatz vor dem Reaktionsbeginn zugesetzte Kombination von Lysin und Polycarbonsäuren ohne vorherige Salzbildung wird die Polyamidbildung drastisch beschleunigt.
Gemäß der US-PS 4,892,927 werden thermoplastisch verformbare, hochmolekulare Polyamide durch Polykondensation von Gemischen aus polyamidbildenden, aliphatischen Diaminen und Dicarbonsäuren in Gegenwart von geringen Mengen α-Amino-ε-caprolactam hergestellt, wohingegen man gemäß US-PS 4,959,452 überwiegend aliphatische Polyamide durch hydrolytische Polymerisation mindestens eines polyamidbildenden Lactams in Gegenwart von 0,1 bis 2 Gew.-% α-Amino-ε-caprolactam und einer äquivalenten Menge Polycarbonsäure erhält. Diese Polyamide werden zur Herstellung von Folien und Fasern verwendet.
US-PS 3,651,023 betrifft eine Polyamidzusammensetzung, die durch Polymerisation von Caprolactam in Gegenwart von beispielsweise Lysin in einer solchen Menge, daß das Polymer 0,5 bis 5 Gew.-% Lysin enthält, erhältlich ist. Aus diesen Polymeren werden Fasern und Garne hergestellt.
US-PS 4,126,628 betrifft ein Verfahren zur Monoacylierung von Diaminosäuren, wie z.B. Lysin, Ornithin und α,γ-Diaminobuttersäure, durch Umsetzung dieser Säuren mit Succinimidylestern von Carbonsäuren oder substituierten Kohlensäuren in ungefähr äquimolaren Mengen bei 25 bis 50°C in Gegenwart eines basischen Katalysators, der einen pH-Wert von mindestens etwa 10 ergibt. Die N-Acylaminosäure-Produkte eignen sich zur Verwendung als Tenside, Pharmazeutika oder Zwischenprodukte für Pharmazeutika.
US-Patentanmeldung Serial No. 09/131,234 betrifft ein auf einer Aminosäure basierendes Polymer, Oligomer oder Copolymer mit mindestens 5 Mol- Einheiten einer basischen Aminosäure aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Lysin, Arginin, Ornithin, Tryptophan und deren Mischungen und mindestens etwa 5 Mol-% einer polymerisierbaren Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus aliphatischen oder cycloaliphatischen Aminen, alicyclischen Aminen, Diaminen, Triaminen, Tetraaminen, aliphatischen Aminoalkoholen oder deren Mischungen. Diese Polymere, Oligomere oder Copolymere werden durch Kondensation der basischen Aminosäuren bei einer Temperatur von mindestens 120°C mit mindestens einer der polymerisierbaren Verbindungen hergestellt. Die Kondensationsprodukte kommen zur Verwendung als Additive für Detergenzien und/oder andere Waschmittelzusätze in Betracht.
US-Patentanmeldung Serial No. 09/131,282 betrifft Kondensationsprodukte von basischen Aminosäuren mit copolymerisierbaren Verbindungen, die durch Kondensation von
(a) einer basischen Aminosäure aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
Lysin, Arginin, Ornithin, Tryptophan und deren Mischungen,
(b) einer copolymerisierbaren Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus gesättigten einbasischen Carbonsäuren, ungesättigten einbasischen Carbonsäuren, mehrbasischen Carbonsäuren,
Carbonsäureanhydriden, Diketenen, Monohydroxycarbonsäuren, Polyhydroxycarbonsäuren und deren Mischungen und gegebenenfalls
(c) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
Aminen, Lactamen, nicht-proteinogenen Aminosäuren, Alkoholen, alkoxylierten Alkoholen, alkoxylierten Aminen, Aminozuckern, Kohlenhydraten und Zuckercarbonsäuren
in einem molaren Verhältnis von (a) : (b) von 100 : 1 bis 1 : 1 bei einer Temperatur von mindestens 120°C erhältlich sind. Die Kondensationsprodukte können als Additiv in Detergenzien verwendet werden.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, neue Kondensationsprodukte von basischen Aminosäuren bereitzustellen.
Kurze Darstellung der Erfindung
Die obigen Aufgabe wird gelost mit vernetzten, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren, die durch Umsetzung von
(i) Homokondensaten basischer Aminosäuren,
Kondensaten von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen
Aminosäuren und/oder
Cokondensaten aus basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit
(ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei f nktionellen Gruppen
erhältlich sind.
Die Aufgabe wird ebenfalls gelost mit einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von vernetzten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren, bei dem man
(i) Homokondensate basischer Aminosäuren,
Cokondensate von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und
Cokondensate von basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit
(ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen
umsetzt.
Nähere Beschreibung der Erfindung
Basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere werden vorzugsweise durch thermische Kondensation von basischen Aminosäuren allein oder zusammen mit cokondensierbaren Verbindungen hergestellt. Andere Methoden zur Herstellung von basische Aminosäuren
enthaltenden Polymeren beruhen auf chemischen Methoden (z.B. über N-Carbonsäureanhydride der basischen Aminosäuren) oder auf Mikroorganismen. Basische Aminosäuren, die im folgenden als Verbindungen der Gruppe (a) bezeichnet werden, sind beispielsweise Lysin, Arginin, Ornithin, Tryptophan und deren Mischungen. Diese Verbindungen können in Form ihrer Hydrate, ihrer Ester mit niederen Alkoholen oder ihrer Salze, beispielsweise ihrer Sulfate, Hydrochloride oder Acetate, eingesetzt werden. Die Ester der basischen Aminosäuren leiten sich vorzugsweise von einwertigen Cl- bis C4-Alkoholen, wie z.B. Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, Isopropanol, n-Butanol, sec.-Butanol oder tert . -Butanol ab. Bei Verwendung von Hydrochloriden sollte der Ansatz zur Neutralisation von Chlorwasserstoff mit ungefähr äquivalenten Mengen einer Base versetzt werden. Als Basen sind Natriumhydroxid und
Kaliumhydroxid bevorzugt. Bei Verwendung eines Monohydrochlorids einer basischen Aminosäure ist ein Äquivalent einer Base erforderlich, wohingegen im Fall von Dihydrochloriden zwei Äquivalente erforderlich sind. Als basische Aminosäure verwendet man vorzugsweise Lysinhydrat und wäßrige Lysinlosungen. Man kann Lysin auch in Form seines cyclischen Lactams, d.h. α-Amino-ε-caprolactam, einsetzen.
Mit basischen Aminosäuren cokondensierbare Verbindungen, die im folgenden als Verbindungen der Gruppe (b) bezeichnet werden, sind beispielsweise Verbindungen mit mindestens einer Carboxylgruppe, Carbonsäureanhydride, Diketene, Amine, Lactame, Alkohole, alkoxylierte Alkohole und alkoxylierte Amine. Beispiele für Carboxylgruppenhaltige Verbindungen sind gesättigte einbasische Carbonsäuren, ungesättigte einbasische Carbonsäuren, mehrbasische Carbonsäuren, Monohydroxycarbonsäuren, einbasische Polyhydroxycarbonsäuren, nicht-proteinogene Aminosäuren und deren Mischungen. Beispiele für gesättigte einbasische Carbonsäuren sind Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Buttersäure, Valeriansäure, Capronsäure, Octansäure, Nonansäure, Decansäure, Laurinsäure, Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Arachidinsäure, Behensäure, Myristinsäure, Undecansäure, 2-Ethylhexansäure und alle natürlich vorkommende Fettsäuren und deren Mischungen.
Beispiele für ungesättigte einbasische Carbonsäuren sind
Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Crotonsäure, Sorbinsäure, Olsäure, Linolsäure und Erucasäure.
Beispiele für mehrbasische Carbonsäuren sind Oxalsäure, Fumarsäure, Maleinsäure, Malonsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Itaconsäure, Adipinsäure, Aconitsäure, Suberinsäure, Azelainsäure, Pyridindicarbonsäure, Furandicarbonsäure, Phthalsäure,
Terephthalsäure, Diglykolsäure, Glutarsäure, substituierte C4-Dicarbonsäure, Sulfobernsteinsäure, Cl- bis C26-Alkylbernsteinsäuren, C2- bis C26-Alkenylbernsteinsäuren, 1,2, 3-Propantricarbonsäuren, 1,1,3, 3-Propantetracarbonsäuren, 1, 1, 2 , 2-Ethantetracarbonsäure, 1, 2, 3, 4-Butantetracarbonsäure, 1,2,2, 3-Propantetracarbonsäure, 1,3,3, 5-Pentantetracarbonsäure, 1, 2 , 4-Benzoltricarbonsäure und 1, 2 , 4 , 5-Benzoltetracarbonsäure.
Beispiele für Monohydroxycarbonsäuren sind Äpfelsäure, Tartronsaure, Citronensäure und Isocitronensäure. Beispiele für Polyhydroxycarbonsäuren sind Weinsäure, Schleimsäure, Glycerinsäure, Bis (hydroxymethyl) propionsäure, Gluconsäure und hydroxylierte ungesättigte Fettsäuren, wie z.B. Dihydroxystearinsäure .
Weitere carboxylgruppenhaltige Verbindungen sind nicht-proteinogene Aminosäuren. Beispiele hierfür sind Anthranilsäure, N-Methylamino-substituierte Säuren wie N-Methylglycin, Dirnethylaminoessigsäure, Ethanolaminoessigsäure, N-Carboxymethylaminosäuren, Nitrilotriessigsäure,
Ethylendiaminessigsäure, Ethylendiamintetraessigsäure, Diethylentriaminpentaessigsäure,
Hydroxyethylendiaminotriessigsäure, Diaminobernsteinsäure, C4- bis C26-Aminoalkylcarbonsäuren, wie z.B. 4-Aminobuttersäure, 6-Aminocapronsäure und 11-Aminoundecansäure.
Weitere carboxylgruppenhaltige Verbindungen, die sich von basischen Aminosäuren und α-Aminosäuren unterscheiden und die mit basischen Aminosäuren kondensiert werden können, sind Zuckercarbonsäuren, wie z.B. Gluconsäure, Glucarsäure, Gluconolacton und Glucuronsäure.
Als cokondensierbare Verbindungen eignen sich außerdem Carbonsäureanhydride, beispielsweise Bernsteinsäureanhydrid, Butantetracarbonsäuremonoanhydrid und -dianhydrid, Phthalsäureanhydrid, Acetylci ronensäureanhydrid, Maleinsäureanhydrid, Itaconsäureanhydrid und Aconitsaureanhydrid.
Beispiele für Diketene, die als cokondensierbare Verbindung in Betracht kommen, sind Alkyldiketene mit 1 bis 30
Kohlenstoffatomen in der Alkylgruppe. Diese Diketene lassen sich durch die folgende Formel charakterisieren

worin die Substituenten R1 und R2 gleich oder verschieden sind und für H, gesättigtes oder ethylenisch ungesättigtes Cj- bis Co-Alkyl, vorzugsweise C6- bis C22-Alkyl stehen. Verbindungen der obigen Formel sind zum Beispiel Diketen, Methyldiketen, Hexyldiketen, Cyclohexyldiketen, Octyldiketen, Decyldiketen, Dodecyldiketen, Palmityldiketen, Stearyldiketen, Oleyldiketen, Octadecyldiketen, Eicosyldiketen, Docosyldiketen und Behenyldiketen.
Beispiele für Amine sind: aliphatische und cycloaliphatische Amine, vorzugsweise Methylamin, Ethylamin, Propylamin, Butylamin, Pentylamin, Hexylamin, Heptylamin, Octylamin, Nonylamin, Decylamin, Undecylamin, Dodecylamin, Tridecylamin, Stearylamin, Palmitylamin, 2-Ethylhexylamin, Isononyla in, Hexamethylenimin, Dimethylamin, Diethylamin, Dipropylamin, Dibutylamin, Dihexylamin, Ditridecylamin, N-Methylbutylamin, N-Ethylbutylamin; alicyclische Amine, vorzugsweise Cyclopentylamin, Cyclohexylamin, N-Methylcyclohexylamin, N-Ethylcyclohexylamin, Dicyclohexylamin;

Aminozucker, wie z.B. Chitosan oder Chitosamin sowie Verbindungen, die durch Reduktion von Kohlenhydraten mittels reduktiver Aminierung erhältlich sind, wie z.B. Aminosorbit oder Glucoseamin, und andere aminogruppenhaltige Verbindungen, wie z.B. Melamin, Harnstoff, Guanidin, Polyguanide, Piperidin, Morpholin, 2 , 6-Dimethylmorpholin und Tryptamin.
Bevorzugte Amine werden unter Hexamethylendiamin, Octylamin, Monoethanolamin, Octamethylendiamin, Diaminododecan, Decylamin, Dodecylamin und deren Mischungen ausgewählt.
Weitere mit basischen Aminosäuren cokondensierbare Verbindungen sind Lactame. Die Lactame enthalten beispielsweise 5 bis 13 Atome in dem Ring. Als Lactame eignen sich u.a. Butyrolactam, Caprolactam und Laurolactam.
Weitere mit basischen Aminosäuren cokondensierbare Verbindungen sind Alkohole. Die Alkohole können sich von einwertigen Alkoholen ableiten, wie beispielsweise von primären, sekundären oder tertiären Alkoholen mit 1 bis 22 Kohlenstoffato en, z.B. Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, Isopropanol, n-Butanol, Isobutanol, tert . -Butanol, Pentanol, Hexanol, 2-Ethylhexanol, Cyclohexanol, Octanol, Decanol, Dodecanol, Palmitylalkohol, Stearylalkohol und Behenylalkohol . Als Alkohole eignen sich ferner Polyole, wie z.B. Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol, Glycerin, Polyglycerine mit 2 bis 8 Glycerineinheiten, Erythrit, Pentaerythrit und Sorbit.
Weitere cokondensierbare Verbindungen sind Kohlenhydrate, wie z.B. Glucose, Saccharose, Dextrine, Stärke und abgebaute Stärke sowie Maltose.
Die Alkohole können auch alkoxyliert sein. Beispiele für derartige Verbindungen sind die Additionsprodukte von 1 bis 200 Mol eines C - bis C4-Alkylenoxids an ein Mol des erwähnten Alkohols. Als Alkylenoxide eignen sich beispielsweise Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid und Butylenoxide . Vorzugsweise verwendet man Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid oder man addiert Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid in dieser oder in umgekehrter Reihenfolge an den Alkohol. Von besonderem Interesse sind die Additionsprodukte von 3 bis 20 Mol Ethylenoxid an 1 Mol eines Cι3/Ci5-Oxoalkohols oder an Fettalkohole. Die Alkohole können gegebenenfalls auch eine Doppelbindung enthalten, wie z.B. Oleylalkohol.
Die basischen Aminosäuren können auch mit alkoxylierten Aminen kondensiert werden, beispielsweise mit den Additionsprodukten von 5 bis 30 Mol Ethylenoxid an 1 Mol Stearylamin, Oleylamin oder Palmitylamin.
Die vernetzten, kondensierten, Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere der Verbindungen der Gruppen (a) und (b) enthalten diese beispielsweise in einem molaren Verhältnis von 100 : 1 bis 1 : 10 und vorzugsweise in einem molaren Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) von mehr als 1, beispielsweise mehr als 1,5 und vorzugsweise mehr als 2. Enthalten Verbindungen (b) mindestens zwei verschiedene funktioneile Gruppen, so wird vorzugsweise ein molares Verhältnis (a) : (b) von 1 : 1 bis 1 : 10 verwendet. Beispiele für derartige Verbindungen (b) sind nicht-proteinogene Aminosäuren, Lactame, Aminoalkohole, Hydroxycarbonsäuren und Aminozucker.
Bevorzugte Kondensationsprodukte, die als Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung der vernetzten, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere verwendet werden, sind Homokondensate von basischen Aminosäuren und Cokondensate, die durch Kondensation von
(a) Lysin und
(b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Laurinsäure, Octansäure, Propionsäure, Essigsäure, 2-Ethylhexansäure, Adipinsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Citronensäure und deren Mischungen erhältlich sind, sowie
Kondensationsprodukte , die durch Kondensation von
( a) Lysin und
5 (b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 1, 6-Hexamethylendiamin, Octylamin, Aminocapronsäure, Aminolaurinsäure, ε-Caprolactam, Laurolactam und ci4-/c22~Alkyldiketenen erhältlich sind.
10 Um das Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung der vernetzten, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere zu erhalten, kann man die Kondensation der basischen Aminosäuren, ihrer Mischungen oder mindestens einer basischen Aminosäure mit mindestens einer cokondensierbaren Verbindung in Substanz, in
15 einem organischen Lösungsmittel oder in wäßrigem Medium durchgeführen. Vorteilhafterweise führt man die Kondensation in Wasser bei einer Konzentration der zu kondensierenden Verbindungen von 10 bis 98 Gew.-% bei einer Temperatur von 120° bis 300°C durch. Nach einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform des
20 Verfahrens führt man die Kondensation in Wasser bei einer Konzentration der zu kondensierenden Verbindungen von 20 bis 70 Gew.-% unter Druck bei einer Temperatur von 140° bis 250°C durch. Die Kondensation dieser Verbindungen kann jedoch auch in einem organischen Lösungsmittel, wie z.B. Dimethylformamid,
25 Dimethylsulfoxid, Dimethylacetamid, Glykol, Polyethylenglykol , Propylenglykol, Polypropylenglykol, einwertigen Alkoholen, Additionsprodukten von Ethylenoxid und/oder Propylenoxid an einwertige Alkohole, an Amine oder an Carbonsäuren, durchgeführt werden. Einige dieser Lösungsmittel können mit den basischen
30 Aminosäuren reagieren.
Man kann die Kondensation beispielsweise in Gegenwart von Wasser entweder in wäßriger Lösung oder in einem wasserhaltigen organischen Lösungsmittel starten. Die Kondensation der
35 Verbindungen kann dann in Gegenwart von Wasser weitergeführt werden. Alternativ dazu kann man das Wasser vor der Kondensation der Verbindungen abdestillieren. Die Kondensation kann auch unter Entfernung von Wasser, das bei der Kondensation entsteht, durchgeführt werden. Vorzugsweise wird das bei der Kondensation
40 entstehende Wasser aus dem Reaktionsgemisch entfernt. Dies kann unter erhöhtem Druck, Normaldruck oder vermindertem Druck durchgeführt werden. Die Kondensationsdauer hängt von der Wahl der Reaktionsbedingungen ab und liegt im allgemeinen im Bereich von 1 Minute bis 50 Stunden, vorzugsweise von 30 Minuten bis
45 16 Stunden. Polykondensate mit niedrigem Molekulargewicht können auch in einem druckdicht verschlossenen Behälter hergestellt
werden, indem man das im Lauf der Polykondensation gebildete Wasser höchstens teilweise entfernt.
Gegebenenfalls kann die Kondensation auch in Gegenwart einer Mineralsäure als Katalysator durchgeführt werden. Die
Mineralsäurekonzentration kann 0,001 bis 5, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 1,0 Gew.-% betragen. Als Mineralsäuren eignen sich beispielsweise unterphosphorige Säure, Hypodiphosphorsäure, phosphorige Säure, Chlorwasserstoffsäure, Schwefelsäure und deren Mischungen. Neben den Säuren können auch deren Alkali-, Ammonium- und Erdalkalimetallsalze als Katalysator verwendet werden.
Die als Ausgangsmaterialien für die Herstellung der vernetzten, kondensierten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere verwendeten Kondensationsprodukte von
Homokondensaten basischer Aminosäuren
Kondensaten von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und
Cokondensaten von basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen
haben beispielsweise ein gewichtsmittleres Molekulargewicht Mw von 300 bis 1.000.000, vorzugsweise von 300 bis 20.000 und ganz besonders bevorzugt von 300 bis 2.000. Sie sind im allgemeinen wasserlöslich oder lassen sich leicht in Wasser dispergieren. Die Aminogruppen des Ausgangsmaterials können als freies Amin oder in Form ihrer Ammoniumsalze vorliegen, welche durch teilweise oder vollständige Neutralisation mit einer Mineralsäure, z.B. Chlorwasserstoffsäure, Phosphorsäure oder Schwefelsäure, oder mit einer organischen Säure, wie z.B. Methansulfonsäure, Essigsäure, Ameisensäure, Propionsäure oder Citronensäure, erhältlich sind.
Die kondensierten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Verbindungen (i) , wie z.B.
Homokondensate basischer Aminosäuren, - Kondensate von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und
Cokondensate von basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen
werden durch Umsetzung mit (ii) Vernetzern mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen modifiziert. Als Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen eignen sich beispielsweise α-,
ω-Dichloralkane oder vicinale Dichloralkane, wie z.B. 1, 2-Dichlorethan, 1, 2-Dichlorpropan, 1, 3-Dichlorpropan, 1, -Dichlorbutan und 1, 6-Dichlorhexan. Als Vernetzer eignen sich ferner Glycidylhalogenide, wie z.B. Epichlorhydrin, Bischlorhydrinether von Polyolen, Polychlorhydrinether von Polyolen, Bischlorhydrinether von Polyalkylenglykolen, Chlorameisensäureester, Phosgen und insbesondere halogenfreie Vernetzer.
Vorzugsweise verwendet man als Vernetzer Epichlorhydrin,
Bischlorhydrinether von Ethylenglykol, Polyethylenglykol mit 2 bis 100, insbesondere 2 bis 40 Ethylenglykoleinheiten, Propylenglykole, Polypropylenglykole, Ethylenoxid-Propylenoxid-Copolymere, Glycerin, Diglycerin, Polyglycerin mit bis zu 8 Glycerineinheiten, Pentaerythrit und Sorbit sowie halogenfreie Vernetzer, die mindestens bifunktionell sind und vorzugsweise aus der Gruppe bestehend aus:
(1) Ethylencarbonat, Propylencarbonat und/oder Harnstoff,
(2) monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und deren Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden, mindestens zweibasischen gesättigten Carbonsäuren oder Polycarbonsäuren sowie den jeweils davon abgeleiteten Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden,
(3) Umsetzungsprodukten von Polyetherdiaminen, Alkylendiaminen, Polyalkylenpolyaminen, Alkylenglykolen oder
Polyalkylenglykolen oder deren Mischungen mit monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren Estern, Amiden oder Anhydriden, wobei die Umsetzungsprodukte als funktionelle Gruppen mindestens zwei ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindungen oder Carbonsäureamid-, Carboxyl- oder Estergruppen aufweisen,
(4) Umsetzungsprodukten von Dicarbons ureestern mit Ethylenimin, die mindestens zwei Aziridinogruppen enthalten,
(5) Diepoxiden, Polyepoxiden, α, ω-Diisocyanaten wie z.B. Hexamethylendiisocyanat, und Polyisocyanaten
sowie Mischungen dieser Vernetzer ausgewählt sind.
Von den Vernetzern der Gruppe (1) wird vorzugsweise Propylencarbonat eingesetzt.
Beispiele für geeignete halogenfreie Vernetzer der Gruppe (2) sind monoethylenisch ungesättigte Monocarbonsäuren, wie z.B. Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure und Crotonsäure sowie die davon abgeleiteten Amide, Ester und Anhydride. Die Ester können sich von Alkoholen mit 1 bis 22, vorzugsweise 1 bis 18, C-Atomen ableiten. Die Amide sind zwar vorzugsweise unsubstituiert, können jedoch einen Cι-C22-Alkylrest als Substituenten tragen.
Als halogenfreie Vernetzer der Gruppe (2) kommen ferner mindestens zweibasische gesättigte Carbonsäuren, wie z.B.
Dicarbonsäuren, und die davon abgeleiteten Salze, Diester und Diamide in Betracht. Diese Verbindungen lassen sich beispielsweise mit Hilfe der Formel

charakterisieren, worin R = Ci- bis C22-Alkyl, R1 = H, Ci- bis C 2-Alkyl, und n = 0 bis 22.
Neben den Dicarbonsäuren der Formel I eignen sich beispielsweise monoethylenisch ungesättigte Dicarbonsäuren, wie z.B. Maleinsäure oder Itaconsäure. Die Ester der in Betracht kommenden Dicarbonsäuren leiten sich vorzugsweise von Alkoholen mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen ab. Beispiele für geeignete Dicarbonsäureester sind Oxalsäuredimethylester, Oxalsäurediethylester, Oxalsäurediisopropylester , Bernsteinsäuredimethylester, Bernsteinsäurediethylester, Bernsteinsäurediisopropylester, Bernsteinsäuredi-n-propylester, Bernsteinsäurediisobutylester, Adipinsäuredimethylester, Adipinsäurediethylester und Adipinsäurediisopropylester . Als Ester ethylenisch ungesättigter Dicarbonsäuren eignen sich beispielsweise Maleinsäuredimethylester, Maleinsäurediethylester, Maleinsäurediisopropylester, Itaconsäuredimethylester und Itaconsäurediisopropylester . Außerdem eignen sich auch substituierte Dicarbonsäuren und deren Ester, wie z.B. Weinsäure (D-Form, L-Form und als Racemat) sowie Weinsäureester, wie z.B. Weinsäuredimethylester und Weinsäurediethylester .
Als Dicarbonsäureanhydride eignen sich beispielsweise Maleinsäureanhydrid, Itaconsäureanhydrid und
Bernsteinsäureanhydrid. Aziridine werden mit den obengenannten halogenfreien Vernetzern unter Bildung von Amidgruppen oder im Fall von Amiden, wie z.B. Adipinsäurediamid, mittels
Transamidierung vernetzt. Maleinsäureester und monoethylenisch ungesättigte Dicarbonsäuren sowie deren Anhydride können sowohl durch Bildung von Carbonsäureamidgruppen als auch durch Addition von NH-Gruppen im Sinne einer Michael-Addition eine Vernetzung bewirken.
Zu den mindestens zweibasischen gesättigten Carbonsäuren gehören beispielsweise Tricarbonsäuren und Tetracarbonsäuren, wie z.B. Citronensäure, Propantricarbonsäure, Ethylendiamintetraessigsäure und Butantetracarbonsäure. Als Vernetzer der Gruppe (2) eignen sich auch die Salze, Ester, Amide und Anhydride, die sich von den obengenannten Carbonsäuren ableiten.
Als Vernetzer der Gruppe (2) eignen sich auch Polycarbonsäuren, die durch Polymerisation von monoethylenisch ungesättigten
Carbonsäuren oder Carbonsäureanhydriden erhältlich sind.
Beispiele für geeignete monoethylenisch ungesättigte Carbonsäuren sind Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Crotonsäure, Maleinsäure und/oder Itaconsäure. So eignen sich zur Verwendung als Vernetzer beispielsweise Polyacrylsäuren,
Acrylsäure-Methacrylsäure-Copolymere oder
Acrylsäure-Maleinsäure-Copolymere.
Weitere geeignete Vernetzer (2) erhält man beispielsweise durch Polymerisation von Anhydriden, wie z.B. Maleinsäureanhydrid, in einem inerten Lösungsmittel, wie z.B. Toluol, Xylol, Ethylbenzol oder Isopropylbenzol, oder Lösungsmittelgemischen in Gegenwart von radikalbildenden Initiatoren. Als Initiatoren verwendet man vorzugsweise Peroxyester, wie z.B. per-2-Ethylhexansäure-tert. -butylester . Neben den Homopolymeren eignen sich auch Copolymere von Maleinsäureanhydrid, beispielsweise Copolymere aus Acrylsäure und Maleinsäureanhydrid oder Copolymere aus Maleinsäureanhydrid und einem C - bis C30-Olefin.
Bevorzugt sind beispielsweise Copolymere aus Maleinsäureanhydrid und Isobuten oder Copolymere aus Maleinsäureanhydrid und Diisobuten. Die anhydridgruppenhaltigen Copolymere können gegebenenfalls durch Umsetzung mit Ci- bis C2o~Alkoholen, Ammoniak oder Aminen modifiziert und in dieser Form als Vernetzer eingesetzt werden.
Die Molmasse Mw der Homopolymere und Copolymere beträgt beispielsweise bis zu 10.000, vorzugsweise 500 bis 5.000. Polymere des obengenannten Typs werden beispielsweise in der EP-A-0 276 464, US-A-3 810 834, GB-A-1 411 063 und US-A-4 818 795 beschrieben. Die mindestens zweibasischen gesättigten
Carbonsäuren und die Polycarbonsäuren können auch in Form ihrer Alkalimetall- oder Ammoniumsalze als Vernetzer eingesetzt werden. Hierbei verwendet man vorzugsweise die Natriumsalze. Die Polycarbonsäuren können teilweise, z.B. bis zu 10 - 50 Mol-% oder vollständig neutralisiert sein.
Als Verbindungen der Gruppe (2) verwendet man vorzugsweise Weinsäuredimethylester, Weinsäurediethylester, Adipinsäuredimethylester, Adipinsäurediethylester , Maleinsäuredimethylester, Maleinsäurediethylester ,
Maleinsäureanhydrid, Maleinsäure, Acrylsäure, Methylacrylat, Ethylacrylat, Acrylamid und Methacrylamid.
Beispiele für halogenfreie Vernetzer der Gruppe (3) sind Umsetzungsprodukte von Polyetherdiaminen, Alkylendiaminen,
Polyalkylenpolyaminen, Alkylenglykolen und Polyalkylenglykolen oder deren Mischungen mit
monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren,
Estern von monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren,
Amiden von monoethylenisch ungesättigen Carbonsäuren oder
- Anhydriden von monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren.
Die Polyetherdiamine werden beispielsweise durch Umsetzung von Polyalkylenglykolen mit Ammoniak hergestellt. Die Polyalkylenglykole können 2 bis 50, vorzugsweise 2 bis 40 Alkylenoxideinheiten enthalten. Hierbei kann es sich beispielsweise um Polyethylenglykole, Polypropylenglykole, Polybutylenglykole oder auch um Blockcopolymerisate aus Ethylenglykol und Propylenglykol, Blockcopolymerisate aus Ethylenglykol und Butylenglykol oder um Blockcopolymerisate aus Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol und Butylenglykol handeln. Außer den Blockcopolymerisaten eignen sich zur Herstellung der Polyetherdiamine statistisch aufgebaute Copolymerisate aus Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid und gegebenenfalls Butylenoxid. Polyetherdiamine leiten sich außerdem von Polytetrahydrofuranen ab, die 2 bis 75 Tetrahydrofuraneinheiten aufweisen. Die Polytetrahydrofurane werden ebenfalls durch Umsetzung mit Ammoniak in die entsprechenden α, ω-Polyetherdiamine
umgewandelt. Vorzugsweise verwendet man zur Herstellung der Polyetherdiamine Polyethylenglykole oder Blockcopolymerisate aus Ethylenglykol und Propylenglykol.
Als Alkylendiamine eignen sich beispielsweise Ethylendiamin, Propylendiamin, 1, 4-Diaminobutan und 1, 6-Diaminohexan. Als Polyalkylenpolyamine eignen sich beispielsweise Diethylentriamin, Triethylentetramin, Dipropylentriamin, Tripropylentetramin, Dihexamethylentriamin, Aminopropylethylendiamin, Bis-aminopropylethylendiamin und Polyethylenimine mit Molmassen von bis zu 5000. Die oben beschriebenen Amine werden mit monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren Estern, Amiden oder Anhydriden so umgesetzt, daß die anfallenden Produkte als funktioneile Gruppen mindestens zwei ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindungen, Carbonsäureamid-, Carboxyl- oder Estergruppen aufweisen. So erhält man beispielsweise bei der Umsetzung der betrachteten Amine oder Glykole mit Maleinsäureanhydrid Verbindungen, die sich beispielsweise mit Hilfe der Formel II charakterisieren lassen:

Die Verbindungen der Formel (II) sind beispielsweise durch Umsetzung von Alkylenglykolen, Polyethylenglykolen, Polyethyleniminen, Polypropyleniminen, Polytetrahydrofuranen, α,ω-Diolen oder α, ω-Diaminen mit Maleinsäureanhydrid oder den anderen obengenannten monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder Carbonsäurederivaten erhältlich. Die zur Herstellung der Vernetzer II geeigneten Polyethylenglykole haben vorzugsweise Molmassen von 62 bis 10.000, wohingegen die Molmassen der
Polyethylenimine vorzugsweise 129 bis 50.000 und die Molmassen der Polypropylenimine 171 bis 50.000 betragen. Als Alkylenglykole eignen sich beispielsweise Ethylenglykol, 1, 2 -Propylenglykol, 1, 4-Butandiol und 1, 6-Hexandiol .
Die zur Herstellung der Vernetzer der Formel II vorzugsweise eingesetzten α,ω -Diamine sind Ethylendiamin und α, ω-Diamine, die sich von Polyethylenglykolen oder Polytetrahydrofuranen mit Molmassen Mw von jeweils etwa 400 bis 5000 ableiten.
Als Vernetzer der Formel II eignen sich besonders bevorzugt Umsetzungsprodukte von Maleinsäureanhydrid mit α, ω-Polyetherdiaminen mit einer Molmasse von 400 bis 5000, die Umsetzungsprodukte von Polyethyleniminen mit einer Molmasse von 129 bis 50.000 mit Maleinsäureanhydrid und die Reaktionsprodukte von Ethylendiamin oder Triethylentetramin mit Maleinsäureanhydrid in einem molaren Verhältnis von 1 : mindestens 2. Bei der Umsetzung von Polyalkylenglykolen oder Diolen mit monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren Estern, Amiden oder Anhydriden bilden sich Vernetzer unter
Beibehaltung der Doppelbindung der monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder ihrer Derivate, in denen die monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder ihre Derivate an die Polyetherdiamine, Alkylendiamine oder Polyalkylenpolyamine über eine Amidgruppe und an die Alkylenglykole oder Polyalkylenglykole über eine Estergruppe gebunden sind. Diese Umsetzungsprodukte enthalten mindestens zwei ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindungen. Dieser Vernetzertyp reagiert mit den Aziridinen oder den Aminogruppen der sich bildenden Polymere im Sinne einer Michael-Addition der Aminogruppen der Polymere an die endständigen Doppelbindungen dieser Vernetzer und gegebenenfalls zusätzlich unter Bildung von Amidgruppen.
Polyetherdiamine, Alkylendiamine und Polyalkylenpolyamine können auch mit Maleinsäureanhyrid oder den ethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren Derivate unter Addition an die Doppelbindung im Sinne einer Michael-Addition reagieren. Dann erhält man Vernetzer der Formel III

Die Vernetzer der Formel III bewirken über ihre endständigen Carboxyl- oder Estergruppen und unter Bildung einer Amidfunktion eine Vernetzung mit den Aminogruppen der bei der Polymerisation gebildeten Polymere. Zu dieser Klasse von Vernetzersystemen gehören auch die Umsetzungsprodukte von monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäureestern mit Alkylendiaminen und
Polyalkylenpolyaminen; beispielsweise eignen sich die Produkte der Addition von Ethylendiamin, Diethylentriamin, Triethylentetramin, Tetraethylenpentamin und Polyethyleniminen mit Molmassen von beispielsweise 129 bis 50.000 an Acrylester oder Methacrylester, wobei man auf 1 Mol Aminkomponente mindestens 2 Mol Acrylester oder Methacrylester einsetzt. Als Ester von monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren verwendet man vorzugsweise die Cι~ bis Cς-Alkylester der Acrylsäure oder Methacrylsäure. Zur Herstellung der Vernetzer sind Methylacrylat und Ethylacrylat besonders bevorzugt. Die durch Michael-Addition von Polyalkylenpolyaminen und ethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren, -estern, -amiden oder -anhydriden hergestellten Vernetzer können mehr als zwei funktionelle Gruppen enthalten. Die Zahl dieser Gruppen hängt von dem molaren Verhältnis ab, in dem die Reaktanden bei der Michael-Addition eingesetzt werden. So kann man beispielsweise an ein Mol eines Polyalkylenpolyamins mit 10 Stickstoffatomen beispielsweise 2 bis 10, vorzugsweise 2 bis 8, Mol ethylenisch ungesättigter Carbonsäuren oder deren Derivate mit Hilfe einer Michael-Addition addieren. An 1 Mol Polyethylendiamine und Alkylendiamine kann man mit Hilfe einer Michael-Addition jeweils mindestens 2 bis höchstens 4 Mol der ethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder ihrer Derivate addieren.
Bei der Umsetzung von Diethylentriamin und einer Verbindung der Formel
worin X = OH, NH2 oder OR1 und R1 = Ci- bis C2 -Alkyl, bildet sich über eine Michael-Addition beispielsweise ein Vernetzer der Struktur
worin X = NH2, OH oder OR1 und
R1 für Ci- bis C2-Alkyl steht.
Die sekundären NH-Gruppen der Verbindungen der Formel IV können gegebenenfalls im Sinne einer Michael-Addition mit Acrylsäure, Acrylamid oder Acrylestern reagieren.
Vorzugsweise verwendet man als Vernetzer der Gruppe (3) die Verbindungen der Formel II, die mindestens zwei Carbonsäuregruppen enthalten und durch Umsetzung von Polyetherdiaminen, Ethylendiamin oder Polyalkylenpolyaminen mit Maleinsäureanhydrid erhältlich sind, oder Michael-Additionsprodukte, die mindestens 2 Estergruppen enthalten und die aus Polyetherdiaminen, Polyalkylenpolyaminen oder Ethylendiamin und Estern der Acryl- oder Methacrylsäure, jeweils mit einwertigen Alkoholen mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen, gebildet werden.
Zur Verwendung von halogenfreien Vernetzern der Gruppe (4) eignen sich Umsetzungsprodukte, die durch Umsetzung von Dicarbonsaureestern, die vollständig mit einwertigen Alkoholen mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen verestert sind, mit Ethylenimin hergestellt werden. Als Dicarbonsäureester eignen sich beispielsweise Oxalsäuredimethylester, Oxalsäurediethylester, Bernsteinsäuredimethylester, Bernsteinsäurediethyles er, Adipinsäuredimethylester, Adipinsäurediethylester und
Glutarsäuredimethylester. So erhält man beispielsweise bei der Umsetzung von Oxalsäurediethylester mit Ethylenimin Bis- [ß- (1-aziridino) ethyl] oxalsäureamid. Die Dicarbonsäureester werden mit Ethylenimin beispielsweise in einem molaren Verhältnis von 1 zu mindestens 4 umgesetzt. Bei diesen Vernetzern stellen die endständigen Aziridingruppen die reaktiven Gruppen dar. Diese Vernetzer lassen sich beispielsweise mit Hilfe der Formel V charakterisieren
(V) ,
worin n = 0 bis 22 .
Bevorzugte Verbindungen der Gruppe (5) sind Bisglycidylether von
Ethylenglykol, Polyethylenglykol mit 2 bis 40
Ethylenglykoleinheiten, Propylenglykol, Polypropylenglykolethern,
Copolymeren aus Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid sowie Diisocyanate, wie z.B. Hexamethylendiisocyanat .
Bevorzugt ist auch die Verwendung von Vernetzergemischen, beispielsweise,
Gemischen aus dem Diglycidylether von Ethylenglykol und dem Bischlorhydrinether von Ethylenglykol,
Gemischen aus dem Diglycidylether von Polyethylenglykolen mit 2 bis 40 Ethylenglykoleinheiten mit Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyethylenglykolen mit 2 bis 40 Ethylenglykoleinheiten
oder Gemischen aus Hexamethylendiisocyanat und Propylencarbonat .
Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Verbindungen sind durch Umsetzung von mindestens einer Verbindung der Gruppe (i) mit mindestens einer Verbindung der Gruppe (ii) erhältlich. Die Umsetzung kann in Substanz, in Lösung in einem inerten Lösungsmittel oder in Dispersion in wäßrigem Medium oder in einem inerten Lösungsmittel durchgeführt werden. Je nach Vernetzungsgrad erhält man wasserlösliche oder wasserunlösliche vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere.
Zur Herstellung von feinteiligen, vernetzten, kondensierten basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren stellt man vorzugsweise zunächst eine Lösung der Verbindungen (i) und (ii) in einem inerten Lösungsmittel, das unter den Reaktionsbedingungen nicht mit den Verbindungen (i) und (ii) reagiert, her und kombiniert dann die beiden Lösungen auf einmal, in kleinen Portionen, tropfenweise oder kontinuierlich.
Bevorzugte inerte Lösungsmittel sind Ξther, die gegenüber den Verbindungen der Gruppen (i) und (ii) inert und zumindest unter den Reaktionsbedingungen flüssig sind. Beispiele für Ether sind Dialkylether mit 1 bis 6 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, z.B. Diethylether, Methyl-n-propylether, Methylisopropylether, Methyl-n-butylether , Methyl-sec. -butylether, Methyl-tert . -butylether, Ethylhexylether und Di-n-butylether .
Als Ether eignen sich ferner endgruppenverschlossene Polyalkylenglykole mit beispielsweise 2 bis 50 einpolymerisierten Alkylenoxideinheiten. Zur Verwendung als Endgruppenverschluß eignen sich Cι~ bis C4-Alkylgruppen. Vorzugsweise weisen die endgruppenverschlossenen Polyalkylenglykole Methylgruppen oder Ethylgruppen auf. Die endgruppenverschlossenen Polyalkylenglykole sind beispielsweise durch Alkylierung von Polyalkylenglykolen erhältlich. Als Polyalkylenglykole eignen sich beispielsweise Polyethylenglykole, Polypropylenglykole und Polybutylenglykole sowie Blockcopolymere aus Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid, Ethylenoxid und Butylenoxid oder Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid und Butylenoxid oder Blockcopolymere aus Propylenoxid und Butylenoxid. Vorzugsweise verwendet man als endgruppenverschlossene Polyalkylenglykole Glykole aus der folgenden Gruppe, die an beiden Enden mit Methylgruppen oder Ethylgruppen endgruppenverschlossen sind: Diethylenglykol, Triethylenglykol, Dipropylenglykol, Tripropylenglykol und Dibutylenglykol .
Weitere geeignete Ether leiten sich von Polytetrahydrofuran ab, das 2 bis 50 Tetrahydrofuraneinheiten im Molekül enthält und an beiden Enden mit Cι~ bis C4-Alkylgruppen endgruppenverschlossen ist. Aus dieser Gruppe verwendet man vorzugsweise Ditetrahydrofuranether oder Tritetrahydrofuranether, die an beiden Enden mit Methylgruppen oder Ethylgruppen endgruppenverschlossen sind.
Weitere geeignete Ether, die erfindungsgemäß eingesetzt werden können, leiten sich von Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol und Butylenglykol ab, die jeweils an beiden Enden mit C ~ bis C4-Alkylgruppen endgruppenverschlossen sind. Aus dieser Gruppe von Verbindungen verwendet man vorzugsweise Dimethylether von Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol und Butylenglykol. Als Lösungsmittel eignen sich ferner Tetrahydrofuran und Dioxan.
Die vorzugsweise in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzten organischen Lösungsmittel sind Methyl-tert .-butylether,
Tetrahydrofuran, Dioxan oder Mischungen dieser Lösungsmittel. Für die Vernetzungsreaktion stellt jedoch Wasser das bevorzugte
inerte Lösungsmittel dar. Zur Herstellung der vernetzten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Verbindungen kann man Verbindungen (i) in Wasser lösen oder dispergieren und eine wäßrige Lösung der Vernetzer (ii) zusetzen. Je nach den 5 Reaktionsbedingungen erhält man teilchenförmige, vernetzte, basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere oder Gele.
Die Konzentration der Verbindungen (i) und (ii) in den inerten Lösungsmitteln beläuft sich beispielsweise auf 1 bis 80,
10 vorzugsweise 25 bis 50 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Gemisch. Die
Reaktionstemperatur kann im Bereich von 15 bis 200°C, vorzugsweise bis 100°C, liegen. Liegt die Reaktionstemperatur oberhalb des Siedepunkts des verwendeten Lösungsmittels, so führt man die Reaktion unter erhöhtem Druck, beispielsweise bei Drücken bis zu
15 40 bar, vorzugsweise von 2 bis 40 bar, in druckdicht verschlossenen Apparaturen, wie z.B. einem mit einem Rührer ausgestatteten Autoklaven, durch.
Die Reaktionszeit hängt von mehreren verschiedenen Faktoren ab,
20 wie z.B. der Reaktivität der Verbindungen (i) und (ii) und der Temperatur, bei der die Reaktion durchgeführt wird. Die Vernetzungsreaktion kann über einen Zeitraum zwischen 1 Minute bis 20 Stunden, vorzugsweise zwischen 10 Minuten bis 2 Stunden, durchgeführt werden.

Die vernetzten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere werden beispielsweise als Additive für Detergenzien und/oder Waschmittelzusätze verwendet. Die wasserunlöslichen erfindungsgemäßen vernetzten Polymere können auch zur
30 Immobilisierung von Wirkstoffen, wie z.B. Bioziden,
Pharmazeutika, Kosmetika oder Pflanzenschutzmitteln, verwendet werden. Bei sachgemäßer Anwendung der immobilisierten Wirkstoffe werden die Wirkstoffe aus Kombinationen von vernetzten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren und Wirkstoff kontrolliert 5 freigesetzt.
Die feinteiligen, wasserunlöslichen, vernetzten Polymere eignen sich auch als Absorptionsmittel zur Extraktion von Formaldehyd oder anderen Aldehyden und Ketonen aus Abwasser oder Abluft. 0 Daraus ergeben sich zahlreiche Anwendungen; beispielsweise können die vernetzten, feinteiligen Polymere in Zigarettenfiltern, Filtern zur Reinigung von Abwasser oder zur Absorption von Formaldehyd in Spanplatten verwendet werden. Die feinteiligen, vernetzten Polymere eignen sich auch zur Absorption von sauren 5 Gasen, wie z.B. Schwefeldioxid, Schwefeltrioxid, Chlorwasserstoff und Kohlendioxid. Sie kommen auch beispielsweise zur Entfernung
von sauren Verbindungen, wie z.B. Benzoesäure oder p-Toluolsulfonsäure, aus wäßrigen Lösungen in Betracht.
Die feinteiligen, wasserunlöslichen Polymere eignen sich auch zur Entfernung von Schwermetallionen aus Abwasser. Besonders bevorzugt ist hierbei die Fest-/Flüssigextraktion von Schwermetallen (Hauptgruppenmetallen, Übergangsmetallen, Lanthaniden und Actiniden) aus wäßrigen Lösungen oder Abwasser. Besonders bevorzugt extrahiert man Eisenionen, Zinkionen, Kupferionen, Bleiionen, Rhodiumionen und Quecksilberionen sowie Chromionen, Manganionen, Nickelionen, Silberionen und Cadmiumionen.
Die gewichtsmittleren Molekulargewichte (Mw) wurden mit Hilfe der wäßrigen Gelpermeationschromatographie (GPC) unter Verwendung einer Mischung aus Acetonitril und Wasser im Volumenverhältnis von 20:80 als mobile Phase, Säulen mit Waters Ultrahydrogel 500, 250, 250 und 120 sowie UV-Detektion bei einer Wellenlänge von 230 nm bestimmt. Für die Kalibrierung wurden Pullulane-Standards mit engen Molekulargewichtsverteilungen verwendet.
Die Bestimmung des Aminfunktionalitätengehalts der nichtvernetzten Polymere erfolgte durch potentiometrische Titration mit einer Standardlösung von alkoholischer Trifluormethansulfonsäure.

Herstellung der Kondensate 1 - 4
Kondensat 1
Kondensationprodukt von L-Lysin
L-Lysinmonohydrat (821 g, 5,0 Mol) und Natriumhypophosphit (0,1 g) wurden in eine 2, 5-1-Druckapparatur eingefüllt und mit Stickstoff überlagert. Danach wurde die Apparatur druckdicht verschlossen und 6 h auf 200°C erhitzt, wobei der Innendruck auf 11,2 bar anstieg. Danach wurde zur Entfernung von Wasser aus dem Reaktionsgemisch langsam auf Normaldruck entspannt. Die Reaktionstemperatur wurde 0,5 h bei 200°C gehalten, um verbliebenes Lösungsmittel und flüchtige Produkte zu entfernen. Danach wurde das Reaktionsgemisch unter einem Druck von 20 mbar 25 Minuten bei 200°C gerührt. Die viskose Schmelze wurde auf 115°C abgekühlt, aus der Apparatur ausgetragen und auf Raumtemperatur
abgekühlt. Das Molekulargewicht Mw des Polymers betrug 4.300 g/Mol.
Kondensat 2
5 Kondensationsprodukt von L-Lysin
L-Lysinmonohydrat (985,2 g, 6,0 Mol) und Natriumhypophosphit (0,1 g) wurden in eine 2, 5-1-Druckapparatur eingefüllt und mit
10 Stickstoff überlagert. Danach wurde die Apparatur druckdicht verschlossen und 7 h auf 196°C erhitzt, wobei der Innendruck auf 11,0 bar anstieg. Danach wurde zur Entfernung von Wasser aus dem Reaktionsgemisch langsam auf Normaldruck entspannt. Die Reaktionstemperatur wurde 2 h bei 180°C gehalten, um verbliebenes
15 Lösungsmittel und flüchtige Produkte zu entfernen. Die erhaltene viskose Schmelze wurde aus der Apparatur ausgetragen und dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Das Molekulargewicht Mw des Polymers betrug 4.500 g/Mol.
20 Kondensat 3
Kondensationsprodukt von L-Lysin und Ammocapronsäure im molaren Verhältnis von 1:1
25 L-Lysinmonohydrat (656,8 g, 4,0 Mol), Ammocapronsäure (524,7 g, 4,0 Mol) und Natriumhypophosphit (0,1 g) wurden in eine 2, 5-1-Druckapparatur eingefüllt und mit Stickstoff überlagert. Danach wurde die Apparatur druckdicht verschlossen und 7 h auf 196°C erhitzt, wobei der Innendruck auf 8,2 bar anstieg. Danach
30 wurde zur Entfernung von flüchtigen Stoffen aus dem
Reaktionsgemisch langsam auf Normaldruck entspannt. Die erhaltene viskose Schmelze wurde aus der Apparatur ausgetragen und dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Das Molekulargewicht Mw des Polymers betrug 7.400 g/Mol.

Kondensat 4
Kondensationsprodukt von L-Lysin und Hexamethylendiamin im molaren Verhältnis von 5:1

L-Lysinmonohydrat (492,6 g, 3,0 Mol), Hexamethylendiamin (69,6 c 0,6 Mol) und Natriumhypophosphi (0,1 g) wurden in eine 2 , 5-1-Druckapparatur eingefüllt und mit Stickstoff überlagert. Danach wurde die Apparatur druckdicht verschlossen und 6 h auf 45 180°C erhitzt, wobei der Innendruck auf 4,1 bar anstieg. Danach wurde zur Entfernung von flüchtigen Stoffen aus dem Reaktionsgemisch langsam auf Normaldruck entspannt. Dann wurde
die Reaktion 30 Min. bei 180°C unter Normaldruck fortgesetzt, Die erhaltene viskose Schmelze wurde auf 90°C abgekühlt, aus der Apparatur ausgetragen und dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Das Molekulargewicht Mw des Polymers betrug 5.140 g/Mol.

Beispiel 1
Zu 40 g einer 25 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 3 wurden bei 25°C langsam 12 g einer 25 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Vernetzer 1 gegeben. Dann wurde der Ansatz auf 65°C erhitzt und bei dieser Temperatur 1 h gerührt. Die erhaltene viskose Lösung wurde auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und durch Zusatz von 1 g Schwefelsäure auf einen pH-Wert von 7,5 eingestellt, was eine hochviskose, orangef rbene Lösung ergab.
Beispiel 2
Zu 40 g einer 25 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 3 wurden bei 25°C langsam 16 g einer 25 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Vernetzer 1 gegeben. Dann wurde der Ansatz auf 65°C erhitzt und bei dieser Temperatur 1 h gerührt. Dabei bildete sich ein unlösliches Gel.
Beispiel 3
Zu 25 g einer 25 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 1 wurden bei 25°C langsam 6 g einer 50 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Vernetzer 1 gegeben. Dann wurde der Ansatz auf 65°C erhitzt und bei dieser Temperatur 2 h gerührt. Die erhaltene viskose Lösung wurde auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und durch Zusatz von Schwefelsäure auf einen pH-Wert von 7,5 eingestellt, was eine hochviskose, orangefarbene Lösung ergab.
Bei spiel 4
Zu 20 g einer 50 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 1 wurden bei 25°C langsam 6 g einer 50 gew.- igen wäßrigen Lösung von Vernetzer 1 gegeben. Dann wurde der Ansatz auf 65°C erhitzt und bei dieser Temperatur 2 h gerührt. Dabei bildete sich ein unlösliches Gel.
Beispiel 5
Zu 50 g einer 50 gew.- igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 2 wurden bei 25°C langsam 3,13 g einer 80 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Vernetzer 2 gegeben. Dabei bildete sich ein unlösliches Gel.
Beispiel 6
Zu 50 g einer 50 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 2 wurden bei 25°C langsam 2,5 g Vernetzer 3 gegeben. Dabei wurde ein unlösliches Gel erhalten.
Beispiel 7
Zu 50 g einer 50 gew.-%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Kondensat 2 wurden bei 25°C langsam 2,5 g Vernetzer 3 gegeben. Dabei bildete sich ein unlösliches Gel.
Claims
1. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere, die durch Umsetzung von
(i) Homokondensaten basischer Aminosäuren,
Kondensaten von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen Aminosäuren und/oder Cokondensaten aus basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit
(ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen
erhältlich sind.
2. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die basischen Aminosäuren aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Lysin, Arginin, Ornithin und Tryptophan ausgewählt sind.
3. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es sich bei der basischen Aminosäure um Lysin handelt.
4. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die cokondensierbaren Verbindungen aus der Gruppe bestehend aus carbonsäuregruppenhaltigen Verbindungen, Carbonsäureanhydriden, Diketenen, Aminen, Lactamen, Alkoholen, alkoxylierten Alkoholen und alkoxylierten Aminen ausgewählt sind.
5. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere durch Kondensation von
(a) Lysin, gegebenenfalls zusammen mit
(b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Laurinsäure, Octansäure, Propionsäure, Essigsäure, 2-Ethylhexansäure, Adipinsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Zitronensäure und deren Mischungen, erhältlich sind.
6. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere durch Kondensation von
(a) Lysin mit
(b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 1, 6-Hexamethylendiamin, Octylamin, Ammocapronsäure, Aminolaurinsaure, ε-Caprolactam, Laurolactam und C14-/C22-Alkyldiketenen
erhältlich sind.
7. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere ein gewichtsmittleres Molekulargewicht von 300 bis 1.000.000 aufweisen.
8. Vernetzte, kondensierte Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das molare Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) sich auf 100 : 1 bis 1 : 10 beläuft.
9. Vernetzte, kondensierte Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das molare Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) größer als 1 ist.
10. Vernetzte, kondensierte Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Vernetzer (ii) aus der Gruppe bestehend aus α, ω±Dichloralkanen, vicinalen Dichloralkanen, Epihalogenhydrinen, Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyolen, Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyalkylenglykolen,
Chlorameisensäureestern, Phosgen, halogenfreien Vernetzern und deren Mischungen ausgewählt ist.
11. Vernetzte, kondensierte Aminosäuren enthaltende Polymere nach Anspruch 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die halogenfreien
Vernetzer (ii) aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
(1) Ethylencarbonat, Propylencarbonat und Harnstoff, (2) monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und deren Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden, mindestens zweibasischen gesättigten Carbonsäuren oder Polycarbonsäuren sowie den jeweils davon abgeleiteten Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden,

(3) Umsetzungsprodukten von Polyetherdiaminen, Alkylendiaminen, Polyalkylenpolyaminen, Alkylenglykolen oder Polyalkylenglykolen oder deren Mischungen mit monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren
10 Estern, Amiden oder Anhydriden, wobei die
Umsetzungsprodukte als funktioneile Gruppen mindestens zwei ethylenisch ungesättigte Doppelbindungen oder Carbonsäureamid-, Carboxyl- oder Estergruppen aufweisen,
15 (4) Umsetzungsprodukten von Dicarbonsaureestern mit
Ethylenimin, die mindestens zwei Aziridinogruppen enthalten,
(5) Diepoxiden, Polyepoxiden, Diisocyanaten und 20 Polyisocyanaten,
sowie Mischungen dieser Vernetzer ausgewählt sind.
12. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende 25 Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der
Vernetzer (ii) unter Epichlorhydrin, Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyethylenglykolen mit 2 bis 40 Ethylenglykoleinheiten und deren Mischungen ausgewählt ist.
30 13. Vernetzte, kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltende
Polymere nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß pro Mol Aminogruppen in den kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren 0,001 bis 100 Mol-% mindestens eines Vernetzers (ii) verwendet werden.

14. Verfahren zur Herstellung von vernetzten, basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymeren, bei dem man
(i) Homokondensate basischer Aminosäuren, 40 Cokondensate von Gemischen aus zwei oder mehr basischen
Aminosäuren und
Cokondensate von basischen Aminosäuren und cokondensierbaren Verbindungen mit 5 (ii) mindestens einem Vernetzer mit mindestens zwei funktionellen Gruppen
umsetzt .
15. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es sich bei der basischen Aminosäure um Lysin handelt.
16. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die cokondensierbaren Verbindungen aus der Gruppe bestehend aus carbonsäuregruppenhaltigen Verbindungen, Carbonsäureanhydriden, Diketenen, Aminen, Lactamen, Alkoholen, alkoxylierten Alkoholen und alkoxylierten Aminen auswählt .
17. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere durch Kondensation von
(a) Lysin, gegebenenfalls zusammen mit
(b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Palmitinsäure, Stearinsäure, Laurinsäure, Octansäure, Propionsäure, Essigsäure, 2-Ethylhexansäure, Adipinsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Zitronensäure und deren Mischungen,
erhält.
18. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere durch
Kondensation von
(a) Lysin mit
(b) mindestens einer Verbindung aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 1, 6-Hexamethylendiamin, Octylamin, Aminocapronsäure, Aminolaurinsaure, ε-Caprolactam, Laurolactam und C14-/C22-Alkyldiketenen
erhältlich sind.
19. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die kondensierte basische Aminosäuren enthaltenden Polymere ein gewichtsmittleres Molekulargewicht von 300 bis 1.000.000 aufweisen.
20. Verfahren nach Anspruch 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das molare Verhältnis von (a) bis (b) sich auf 100 : 1 bis 1 : 10 beläuft.
21. Verfahren nach Anspruch 18, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das molare Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) größer als 1 ist.
22. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man den Vernetzer (ii) aus der Gruppe bestehend aus α, ω-Dichloralkanen, vicinalen Dichloralkanen,
Epihalogenhydrinen, Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyolen, Bischlorhydrinethern von Polyalkylenglykolen, Chlorameisensäureestern, Phosgen, halogenfreien Vernetzern und deren Mischungen auswählt.
23. Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die halogenfreien Vernetzer (ii) aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
(1) Ethylencarbonat, Propylencarbonat und Harnstoff,
(2) monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren und deren Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden, mindestens zweibasischen gesättigten Carbonsäuren oder Polycarbonsäuren sowie den jeweils davon abgeleiteten Estern, Amiden und Anhydriden,
(3) Umsetzungsprodukten von Polyetherdiaminen,
Alkylendiaminen, Polyalkylenpolyaminen, Alkylenglykolen oder Polyalkylenglykolen oder deren Mischungen mit monoethylenisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder deren Estern, Amiden oder Anhydriden, wobei die

(5) Diepoxiden, Polyepoxiden, Diisocyanaten und Polyisocyanaten,
sowie Mischungen dieser Vernetzer auswählt.
