Definitions
- the invention relates to a blind stitch sewing device comprising a sewing head a carrier, a needle shaft rotatably mounted on the carrier, which with a Needle holder protruding radially from the needle shaft for holding a needle is connected in an arc around the axis of the needle shaft, a needle drive for reciprocating the needle, one on the carrier movably mounted sling catcher for receiving one when retracting the Needle formed by the thread loop, a loop catcher drive for moving the snare catcher in time coordination with the movement the needle, and means for generating a relative movement between the Sewing head and the sewing material.
- a blind stitch sewing machine of the type mentioned above is made, for example DE-PS 1 106 153 known.
- the path of movement of the needle is transverse to the transport direction of the sewing material directed.
- the sling catcher has to make a relatively complicated movement to hold the loop from the previous stitch so that the The needle dips through the loop during the following stitch.
- Another disadvantage is that this blind stitch machine can only be used for relatively thin sewing material, the can be inserted between the needle and the flexor. So it is assumed that the sewing material is accessible on its underside, around which the fabric flexor to be able to provide containing assembly.
- the sewing head can be arranged on a robot, from which it is guided over the sewing material surface becomes.
- This sewing machine does not need one below the workpiece arranged assembly and is therefore independent of the size and shape of the Workpiece can be used.
- the contact surface for the workpiece must, however Area of the seam to be formed have an opening so that the needle and Catcher can pierce the workpiece and exit at the bottom.
- Fiber mats are sewn together before lying in shapes Fiber mats are shed with plastic. It is desirable that the mats no longer have to be moved after sewing, i.e. for example, can be sewn in the form. This is with sewing devices not possible according to German Patent 1 106 153 and DE 197 51 011 A.
- the invention has for its object a blind stitch sewing device Specify the type mentioned at the beginning with the one in workpieces of any size Seam can be formed without seam-forming tools on the Must exit the opposite side of the workpiece or the opposite side of the Workpiece must be accessible.
- the thread catcher for a back and forth movement is mounted transversely to the path of movement of the needle and that the means for generating a relative movement between the sewing head and the Sewing material are designed so that the seam formed is at least approximately in Direction of movement of the needle runs.
- the circularly curved one is immersed Insert the needle into the sewing material, which has a thickness of 10 to 15 mm, for example can.
- the needle tip emerges on the insertion side without the needle that would have touched the workpiece side opposite the puncture side.
- the sewing material remains on the pad and is not by a fabric flexor or Divers raised and arched from the bottom.
- the sling catcher executing the pivoting movement holds the sling during the Return the needle firmly and takes it with the stitch length when the needle has left the material and the sewing head moves relative to the material.
- the Loop catcher holds the loop tight until the needle tip is next Stitch through the noose.
- the structure of the invention Sewing device extremely simple. Since in the invention Blind stitch sewing device the side facing away from the puncture side of the workpiece remains unaffected, the support for the workpiece can be designed as desired his. In particular, it is possible to sew mats of a fiber material before sewing in a mold, which after completion of the Sewing process can then be poured out with a plastic. To this Way needs the sewn needed to make the composite Fiber material can no longer be moved after sewing.
- a fabric holding-down device is preferably arranged on the carrier, one slot corresponding to the path of movement of the needle to prevent that the material is pulled along when the needle is pulled out.
- the fabric hold-down is conveniently on the Carrier height adjustable.
- the needle drive has one in the Direction switchable drive motor, the output shaft of which Gearbox is coupled to the needle shaft.
- a reversible motor is for example a stepper motor.
- the transmission can comprise a toothed belt, which has a pinion on the output shaft of the drive motor connecting the pinion to the pinion shaft.
- the needle drive is continuous revolving drive motor, which via an eccentric or a crank drive on the carrier pivotally mounted toothed segment which drives on the needle shaft arranged gear meshes.
- the tooth segment is over the Eccentric drive swung back and forth and accordingly moves the Needle shaft and thus the needle back and forth as well.
- the catcher drive is expediently, for example, on the Eccentric shaft controlled cam or cam disc controlled. This is what the Possibility of moving the snare catcher within a stitch cycle to design arbitrarily, while the needle movement usually takes place in such a way that the needle for the forward and backward movement in the material is the same Time needed.
- the loop catcher can also have one in its Direction switchable drive motor can be driven directly.
- the advantages of the sewing device according to the invention are particularly evident if the sewing head is arranged on a robot that also over the sewing head very large workpiece areas according to a given Program can move.
- a robot has to be built relatively solid, so that he can move the sewing head precisely. Since it is difficult at high Sewing speeds stop the robot with every stitch and back in Set movement, but the sewing head relative to the workpiece at least as long must not be moved as long as the needle is completely in the workpiece it is useful to move the robot continuously and the carrier in one To store the frame of the sewing head so that it can be adjusted in translation so that it is parallel to the Relative movement of the sewing head and the material to be sewed back and forth is adjustable.
- the carrier is immovable relative to the workpiece as long as the needle is located in the workpiece while the frame is continuously in by the robot Seam direction is moved. Due to the fact that the direction of movement of the sewing head is parallel to the path of movement of the needle, the wearer can also move relative to the workpiece when the needle tip is at Pull the needle out of the sewing material the deepest path point within the Sewing material behind. This applies at least if the material itself is sufficiently flexible.
- the thread loop formed on the needle tip when the needle is withdrawn is relatively small.
- the sling catcher is the sling reliably therefore, it must be ensured that the needle is independent of the forces, that are exerted by the sewing material on the needle always in the same position relative to the loop catcher.
- the invention proposed that above the fabric retainer for the needle tip adjacent area of the needle a guide is arranged, which after the Insert the needle into the material to be sewn out of this front Secures the needle area against lateral deflection.
- This is preferably Guide formed by an annular groove in a roll so that the needle through the Groove walls can be secured against lateral deflection.
- the needle support can be formed in a simple manner from a role that one to the Axis of curvature of the needle is rotatably supported and a parallel axis Has circumferential groove for receiving the needle, so that the needle is almost frictionless is guided on the roll and is supported by it at the same time.
- the roller is between a support position in which it rests on the needle and an avoidance position is adjustable in which it is at a distance from the needle and does not hinder the pivoting movement of the needle holder.
- the adjustment of the Role can be done in a simple manner by using a pivot lever is arranged, which is coupled to the sewing machine drive such that it in temporal coordination with the needle movement between one of the support positions and a position corresponding to the alternative position of the roller can be pivoted is.
- the base plate and that Counter knife relative to each other about an axis perpendicular to the plate surface pivotable. If the cutting edge of the counter knife is close to one Longitudinal edge of the slot intended for the passage of the needle is located and the opposite slot forms the other cutting edge, one is sufficient very small swivel movement around the cutting edges over their entire length to engage with each other because the slot is relatively narrow.
- the embodiment is the counter knife or the base plate on a tube attached, while the other part (base plate, counter knife) on one Pipe penetrating rod is attached with a swivel drive is coupled.
- FIG. 1 shows a sewing head, generally designated 10, which is attached to an arm 12 a robot 14 is attached, as indicated by the dashed line 16 is.
