A dosing spoon for microtablets is described for which the lower part (1) of the spoon consists of an even polygone which possesses a border (2) on all sides with exception of one side and whereby the polygone has a number of individual recesses (3) which are formed in such a way that an individual microtablet fits in each individual recess.

Description

The present invention relates to a measuring spoon for microtablets the preamble of claim 1.

Multi unit dose (MUD) forms are usually dosed by capsules. With MUD formulations, the effective ingredient is on divided many individual sub-dosage forms, such as pellets or micro-tablets.

This has the advantage that the active ingredient after taking the drug evenly distributed over the entire stomach and intestinal volume and is evenly released in low local concentrations. By Retardation or enteric formulation can thus release the active ingredient can be controlled in a targeted manner. A disadvantage of the conventional MUD molding is the difficult and complex for the patient individual dosage.

The usual filling of MUD formulations in hard gelatin capsules does not solve this problem. On the one hand, fixed dose amounts of the Active ingredient specified and on the other hand, some patients can capsules do not swallow or only swallow very hard.

By opening the capsules and ingesting the contents, the latter can Problem can be circumvented, but this is a very elaborate way of Dosage as capsules and filling and closing the capsules at the Manufacturing are relatively expensive.

Safe individual dosing is possible by removing and dividing the Capsule content, however, practically not possible, since the content of one or several capsules would have to be divided into the required amount. However, a patient cannot do this or can do so only with great effort.

A formulation of the dosage form as a pile, i.e. H. as a filling in one Container, and the dose-appropriate removal with z. B. a spoon or Measuring spoon is particularly useful for smaller volumes, such as. B to whom the usual capsule contents, rather imprecise and only with large ones Variations reproducible. With common pellet formulations This is aggravated by the fact that the manufacturing-related irregularity of the grain sizes with a volume withdrawal the fluctuation range is still enlarged and thus the demands of the European Pharmacopoeia according to dosage uniformity, as for tablets executed there, cannot be complied with.

Micro-tablets with a diameter range of 1.0 to 3.0 mm, can be relatively simple with uniform size and constant drug content getting produced. A very precise individual section of the In principle, the dose could be given by counting the microtablets, however, this cannot be expected of the patient, especially if he has to count large amounts of micro-tablets.

Eine restlose Entleerung des schaufelartigen Behältnisses ist mit einer derartigen Ausgestaltung des Dosierlöffels nicht möglich.NL 66782 C discloses a scoop-like measuring spoon for tablets, in which a lower part with a number of holes for receiving of the tablets is provided on the underside by means of a Lower part connected base plate are closed. On the lower part and a handle is attached to the base plate. The bottom part is on everyone Margin pages except on one side, with the rimless side has a shovel-like opening and the handle is opposite. It is also firmly on the edge of the lower part and attached a transparent cover plate at a distance from it. The transparent cover plate is with a cross to the direction of Handle extending upper dividing strip provided over the cover plate protrudes upwards and has a lower dividing strip, which is arranged on the underside of the cover plate, both Separating strips and the holes in the lower part are installed so that the holes completely between the handle and the dividers are located. When inserting the measuring spoon into a lot of tablets The top divider prevents tablets from getting on top of the holes of the lower part. The two ends of the The edge tapers towards the tip, with one at one of these ends transparent guide plate is attached. If now the measuring spoon is sufficient filled from the crowd with simultaneous shaking movements towards the surface of the lower part with the holes in one after pulled forward inclined position, then each hole with a tablet filled and the excess tablets slide back from the lower part in the crowd. The amount of tablets thus secreted To fill in a package, the measuring spoon is cut by half Rotation rotated so that the parts lie on the cover plate, then the measuring spoon turned back a quarter turn, causing the tablets along the smooth surface of the cover plate into the part slide the edge where the end together with the guide plate form a gutter where along the parts in the packaging, e.g. B. a box, can be inserted. For such handling of the dosing spoon is indispensable above the one with the holes provided lower part arranged cover plate; it becomes a closed one Scoop formed exclusively for counting large-volume lumpy goods from large containers and for filling the your counted quantities in small containers, for which it is necessary, one remove the larger amount from the container and the excess Return quantity in the container before the counted quantity in one small containers can be given. A complete emptying of the scoop-like container is with such a configuration of Dosing spoon not possible.

A device has now been found with which one can easily precise dosing by taking an exact number of microtablets can reach from a storage vessel.

The invention relates to a measuring spoon for micro-tablets with the Claim 1 characterized features.

According to this, the measuring spoon consists of the individual wells for Inclusion of the microtablets in the lower part of the open top Dosing spoons consist of cylindrical bores that are offset at an angle arranged rows are formed in the lower part, and that the edge-free side of the lower part parallel to the longitudinal axis of the dipper stick is running, the lengthwise to the side having the edge of the lower part runs opposite the edge-free side of the lower part is.

The invention thus relates to a measuring spoon for microtablets which the lower part 1 of the spoon consists of a flat polygon, which has a margin 2 on all sides with the exception of one side, and the polygon has a series of individual depressions 3 which are shaped so that a single microtablet in each well fits.

The polygon is usually a square, with the two sides facing the face each other, have the same length (parallelogram). The small Angle 4 of the parallelogram is between 45 ° and 90 °. A long Page 5 of the parallelogram and the two smaller pages 6, 7 are provided with an edge 2, something. H. up to 5 mm, vertically above the polygon protrudes.

Diese Zahl liegt in der Regel bei 5 bis 100, vorzugsweise 10 bis 60.Small cylindrical bores 3 are embedded in the polygon of the dosing spoon, the diameter and depth of which are dimensioned such that a micro-tablet fits comfortably into each opening. The diameter of the holes is between 1, 5 and 4.0 mm. The same applies to the depth of the holes. In a special case, the diameter and depth should be 0.2 mm larger than the largest diagonal of the micro-tablet for which the measuring spoon is to be used. The cylindrical holes are usually arranged so that as many holes as possible fit on 1 cm 2 of the polygon. The total number of holes corresponds to the amount of microtablets to be taken. This number is usually 5 to 100, preferably 10 to 60.

On the borderless side 8 of the polygon there is also a zone without openings 9, which is normally up to 1 cm wide. This zone makes it easier to fill the holes with micro-tablets, especially from one Containers that contain only small amounts of microtablets.

The dipper stick 10 is preferably longer in the extension of the side Edge attached.

The accompanying drawings show a preferred embodiment the invention. Fig. 1 is a top view of the measuring spoon from above and Fig. 3 shows the spoon from below. Fig. 2 is a cross section through the spoon in the longitudinal direction and Fig. 4 in the transverse direction.
