- Smart cards or chip cards are formed which e.g. out U.S. 5,844,244 are known. Such cards are often called referred to as electronic tickets.
- WO 98/26370 describes a wireless communication system portable receivers described in which the data transmission via the (magnetic) H field.
- frequencies of 6.78 MHz, 13.5 MHz or 27 MHz are provided.
- the term near field means that the so-called H-field component dominates.
- the area of the near field is usually defined with a distance r for which the relationship r ⁇ 0.6 ⁇ ⁇ applies. ⁇ stands for the wavelength.
- ⁇ 22 m, so that the near field conditions up to a distance of about 12 m are fulfilled.
- the transmission using frequencies of the above examples would require large antennas with dimensions of several meters.
- the maximum size of the antenna is determined by the dimensions of a device or a carrier element.
- the receiving antenna must be reduced to the dimensions of a chip card, for example.
- chip cards usually have dimensions of credit cards, namely 53 x 85mm 2 .
- Such a strong reduction in the antenna size leads on the one hand to very low antenna reception voltages and on the other hand to an increased sensitivity of the antenna voltage to environmental influences.
- the low sensitivity can usually be compensated for using a suitable amplifier pre-stage.
- the energy consumption of such preliminary stages must be as small as possible.
- the antenna voltage in the near field is inversely proportional to the third power of the distance between receiving antenna and transmitting antenna. For reasons of space, the number of turns of such antennas is limited.
- the disorder can be, for example significantly reduced antenna voltage or a detuning the antenna. With an upset is a change designated the intended resonance frequency.
- Performance can be linked is a particularly reliable Transfer required.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object specify a support element for an antenna that is insensitive is due to interference from the environment.
- FIG. 1a shows a chip card as carrier element 5 in the view.
- the carrier element 5 is designed in multiple layers.
- the Rectangle 3 gives the approximate extent of the layer mass (Ground layer). However, the mass layer does not need to be flat to be executed.
- Components are on the carrier element 5 41 and 42 in a discrete or integrated version specified.
- a loop antenna 11 - in the following only called antenna - is with seven turns along the The circumference of the carrier element 5 is arranged, the contacting takes place via the connections 12. For the sake of clarity are the other connections on the multi-layer support element 5 omitted and only two of the seven turns shown.
- Shields 21 are hatched in FIG. 1a shown the turns of the antenna 11 above and below surround.
- the turns would be the Antenna 11, however, invisible.
- the number of turns of the Antenna 11 is determined by the geometry of the carrier element 5 as well as by running for reinforcement of the antenna voltage required preamplifier.

- electrical shields 21 are provided above and below the antenna windings. Above and below the antenna windings, the shield 21 or 21 1 and 21 2 , which is connected to a reference point 3, is attached, see FIG. 1b, which prevents the direct influence of the environment, ie a capacitive coupling to the winding. Such coupling acts as an antenna extension and this can result in a higher antenna voltage. Because of the detuning of the antenna 11 associated with this, this effect is undesirable and is eliminated with the shield 21 or 21 1 and 21 2 . The coupling takes place by attaching the shield 21 or 21 1 and 21 2 only through the magnetic component, namely with the H field, cf. Vector representation H in Figure 1a. The mass (ground layer) is usually chosen as the reference point 3.
- the antenna 11 is resonant to the reception frequency voted, this vote can be done with a parallel connected capacitor (in the Figures not shown). Is a wider range If desired, the antenna can also be coupled in aperiodically become.
- the distance between the shields 21 1 and 21 2 is approximately 0.6 to 1 mm. Depending on the application, the distance can also be greater than 1 mm.
- the shields 21 1 and 21 2 must be separated at a point 22 in order to prevent a circulating current which would otherwise dampen the magnetic field to an unacceptably high degree.

- FIG. 2 shows a special embodiment of the arrangement and separation of the additional shield 61.
- Such shields should be made as symmetrical as possible, for example by means of segments 61 I and 61 II . With a division into four quadrants, depending on the application, it may be useful to connect two of the four segments with the position ground (ground layer) in a point-symmetrical or mirror-symmetrical manner.
- All shields 21 and 61 are made of thin copper foil or are designed as conductor tracks, the width of which is greater is than the width of the antenna turns.
- the antenna windings are also in this embodiment as Conductor tracks executed.
- the antenna voltage only changes by a few percent when approached by hand.

Description
Empfangsantenne - Sendeantenne. Aus Platzgründen sind der
Windungszahl solcher Antennen enge Grenzen gesetzt.
Dabei zeigen:
- Figur 1a
- Aufsicht auf eine Chipkarte als erfindungsgemässes Trägerelement der Antenne;
- Figur 1b
- Schnittdarstellung des erfindungsgemässen Trägerelementes mit optionalen zusätzlichen Abschirmungen;
- Figur 2
(Groundlayer) an. Die Lage Masse braucht jedoch nicht flächig
ausgeführt zu sein. Auf dem Trägerelement 5 sind Bauelemente
41 und 42 in diskreter oder integrierter Ausführung andeutungsweise
angegeben.
Vektordarstellung H in Figur 1a.
Masse verbundenen, elektrisch leitenden Abschirmungen 611
typischerweise 10 Vm / A.
