Abstract

The structure of the cabin is supported by the bogie, and is connected to a control system which controls the cabin in an angular position with respect to the bogie. The control system ensures the rotation of the cabin towards the inside of the curve of the track, and is controlled by the movement of the adjacent carriage (2) with respect to the bogie. The railway vehicle (1) comprises an end carriage (2) which is extended by the addition of a cabin (3). The carriage (2) and the cabin (3) have separate structures but their adjacent ends are mounted to pivot on the same bogie (5). The structure of the cabin is supported by the bogie, and is connected to a control system which controls the cabin in an angular position with respect to the bogie. The control system ensures the rotation of the cabin towards the inside of the curve of the track, and is controlled by the movement of the adjacent carriage (2) with respect to the bogie. The cabin and adjacent carriage may be mounted to turn about a common axis on the bogie, and may be connected by a mechanical linkage to provide the appropriate angular adjustment as they follow a curve in the track.
