Die Erfindung betrifft eine Walzgerüstanordnung für das Walzen von Draht oder Feineisen, bestehend aus einer Mehrzahl von in Walzrichtung hintereinander angeordneten, anstellbare Walzenpaare aufweisenden Walzgerüsten, von denen jedes lösbar mit einem Traggehäuse verbindbar ist, in dem parallel zur Walzrichtung eine motorantreibbare Kegelradwelle lagert, deren Kegelrad mit einer Kegelradwelle kuppelbar ist, die mit den Tragwellen des Walzenpaares des Walzgerüstes antriebsverbindbar ist. Bei bekannten Walzgerüsten dieser Art (OS 4 537 055) sind die aufeinanderfolgenden Walzgerüste gemeinsam auf einer Tragplattform so angeordnet, daß die Achsen der Walzenpaare benachbarter Walzgerüste um 90° gegeneinander winkelversetzt sind, wobei die antriebsverbindbaren Kegelradwellen parallel zur Achsrichtung der jeweiligen Walzenpaare verlaufen mit der Folge, für die parallel zu der einen Achsrichtung verlaufenden und die parallel zu der anderen Achsrichtung verlaufenden Kegelradwellen je eine eigene motorantreibbare Kegelradwelle erforderlich ist. Auf der quer gelagerten Tragwelle kann dabei ein walzenförmiges Stimrad sitzen, das mit einem Paar von auf den freien Enden der Tragwellen des Walzenpaares sitzenden Kronenrädern kämmt. Die Tragwellen des Walzenpaares können dabei, wie die Erfindung weiter vorsieht, in, in den Walzgerüsten gleitverschiebbar angeordneten Lagereinbaustücken lagern, die über in ihnen gewindegeführten und von Schnecken getrieben angetriebenen Spindeln gegeneinander anstellbar sind.
