Abstract

    Claims (9)

    1. Capping device comprising
      a cap (6), the lateral skirt (6a) of which is equipped with means (20) for its engagement with a container (2), it being possible for this cap (6), in one position, to be placed over the opening of the container (2) so as to close this container (2) and, in another position, to be released from this opening so as to allow access to the inside of the container (2);
      a ring (3) engaged on that part of the container (2) which delimits the said opening and held axially on it; and
      two arms (4) in the form of an arc of a circle, each one of which is connected to the cap (6) on the one hand, by means of a film hinge (5) and parts (4a) that are able to fold, and to the ring (3) on the other hand, the arms (4) being connected to the ring (3) at locations which are angularly distant with respect to the film hinge (5); the said parts that are able to fold allow the pivoting of the arms (4) between a folded position, in which these arms (4) are placed close to the ring (3) and in which the cap (6) is axially close to the ring (3), and an unfolded position, in which these arms (4) are pivoted with respect to the film hinge (5) and to the ring (3) and, by means of their length, allow the cap (6) to be brought into a position which is axially remote from the ring (3), this position being sufficient to make it possible to release the said means (11, 20) for engaging the cap (6) with the container (2) and to tilt the said cap (6) outwards with respect to this container (2) so as to bring (3) this cap (6) into the position in which it is released from the opening of the container (2);
         device characterized in that the cap (6) comprises means (21) shaped so as to bear, during the said tilting, against the container (2) and in order to exert, by means of this bearing, a pulling on the said arms (4), this pulling being non-existent or minimal in the positions of engagement of the cap (6) over the opening of the container (2) and of total release of this cap (6) from this opening, but being maximal in the intermediate position of the cap (6) between these two positions.
    2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the said means consist of a tongue (21) projecting axially from the skirt (6a) of the cap (6), close to the said film hinge (5).
    3. Device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the edge of the tongue (21) bearing against the container (2) is rounded.
    4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the means allowing its sufficient deformation to allow pivoting of the arms (4) between the said folded and unfolded positions consist of one or more of the following means:
      a material constituting the capping device (1), chosen from materials, particularly polyethylene or polypropylene, which offer a possibility of elastic expansion ;
      a clearance between the ring (3) and the container (2) in order to allow, through the deformation of this ring (3), the relative displacement, in the circumferential direction, of the ends of the arms (4) connected to this ring (3) ;
      at least one slit (17) or one notch made at the level of the film hinge (5) to allow the relative displacement, in the circumferential direction, of the ends of the arms (4) connected to this film hinge (5) ;
      arms (4) included, in the folded position, in the thickness of the ring (3) and separated by recesses made in this thickness so that the ring (3) has, plumb with the arms (4), a height which is less than the height it has in the other locations on its circumference.
    5. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the ring (3) and/or at least one arm (4) is, before the first opening of the container (2), connected to the cap (6) and/or to the film hinge (5) by breakable bridges (15) which are intended to be broken at the time of this first opening.
    6. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the said means for the engagement of the cap (6) with the container (2) are of the screw type and in that the ring (3) is fitted free in rotation on the container (2).
    7. Device according to one of Claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the cap (6) comprises two film hinges (5) made on either side of a tongue as aforesaid, each of the arms (4) being connected to one of these film hinges (5).
    8. Device according to Claim 7, characterized in that the film hinges (5) have a triangular shape and are symmetrical with respect to the median axis of this tongue (21); each of them has, from the corresponding lateral edge of the tongue (21), two oblique sides which diverge, then end, on the side opposite this edge of the tongue, in a side parallel to this same edge.
    9. Device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the tongue (21) is connected to the film hinges (5) by two bridges (22) of material.
