Definitions
- the invention relates to a sorter for cleaning a pulp suspension, wherein in the inlet area an additional screen basket is provided for presorting.
- Sorters are machines used in the paper industry for cleaning a stock suspension consisting of water, fibers and dirt particles.
- a feed stream is passed through a sieve device, wherein the accept flow, consisting of water and fibers, flows through the sieve.
- a partial stream, called the reject stream, consisting of water, fibers and contaminants, is generally withdrawn at the end opposite the feed stream.
- the reject stream consisting of water, fibers and contaminants.
- the sorter there is a separation of solid particles present in liquid.
- the liquid is separated from the solid.
- such a sorter is rotationally symmetrical and consists of a housing with a tangentially arranged inlet, a cylindrical screen basket, usually provided with holes or vertical slots and a rotating rotor.
- the task of the rotor is to keep the sieve slots free, which is achieved by wings that rotate just short of the sieve surface.
- the accept stream is collected in a so-called accept space, which is often conical, and drawn off radially at one point.
- the reject flow is generally conducted at the opposite side of the feed basket of the screen basket in a generally annular Rejektraum and subtracted tangentially from this.
- Such a sorter is eg from the US 4,268,381 known.
- the disadvantage of these sorting machines is that the risk of clogging at low flow velocities occurs due to a relatively large rejection space.
- the aim of the invention is therefore to provide an improvement in the flow conditions in the sorter, in order to achieve a reduction of the energy used with increased production and dirt separation.
- the invention is therefore characterized in that arranged in the presorting in the inlet stream, rotating vanes are provided and the additional screen basket has the same diameter as the screen basket of the further sorting stage. This can avoid false currents and a flow of coarse particles directly into the fine particle area. Furthermore, the rotating abrasive blades of the rotor prevent the highly abrasive heavy parts from striking the surface of the screen and damaging them
- An advantageous development of the invention is characterized in that the additional screen basket rotates with the rotor, wherein the additional screen basket can also be designed to be stationary.

- Fig. 1 now shows the upper part of a sorter 1, which is arranged vertically, with an integrated presorting.
- the sorter 1 is fed via the inlet nozzle 2, the pulp suspension.
- a presorting region 10 is provided in the upper region of the sorter 1, into which the suspension passes through a sieve 11.
- the flow of pulp suspension in the pre-sorting is thus carried out from outside to inside.
- a rotor 12 runs, which is connected to the rotor 4 via an extension 13.
- the rotor can also run inside the screen.
- the heavy parts leave the Vorsortier Complex through a nozzle 14.
- the rotor 12 can in Vorsortier Scheme 10 both in the feed stream (as shown) or in the accept stream, which is then fed to a further fine sorting in the lower part of the sorter 1 run. Runs the rotor 12 in the feed stream, so the strongly abrasive acting heavy parts are held on the surface of the screen 11 by the rotating cleaning blades of the rotor 12 and damage them.
- Fig. 2 shows a sorter 1, which is fed through a feed nozzle 2, a pulp suspension for cleaning.
- an installation 3 is provided, which is shown here as a truncated cone.
- the "tip" of the truncated cone points here in the direction of the rotor 4.
- For optimal deflection of the flank angle ⁇ of the truncated cone is between 10 ° and 60 °.
- the pulp suspension enters the space between the rotor 4 and the sieve 5 and is conveyed through the sieve into the acceptance space 6.
- the housing of the accepting space is of biconical design, that is, the housing tapers approximately from the upper edge of the accepting outlet 7 conically towards the reject space, the angle of the accepting space being designed for a constant flow rate assuming uniform outflow through the sieve.
- the rotor 4 of the sorter 1 is designed for a uniform Siebanströmung, which causes a low thickening behavior on the screen height. It has the shape of a parabola, so that the axial flow rate within the screen basket remains constant assuming uniform outflow through the screen. Alternatively, the shape of the rotor can also be approximated by a cone shape.
- the reject space is configured such that flow velocities greater than 2.5 m / sec are present with or without additional introduction of stirring energy through the rotor. As a result, a blockage is virtually avoided.
- Fig. 3 shows an analog arrangement of a sorter 1, wherein here the inlet nozzle 2 is arranged so that the suspension is fed parallel to the wall of the truncated cone 3.

Description
US 4,268,381 bekannt.
