Abstract

The invention concerns a document comprising: a base (4) provided with perforations (5) adapted to the binder rings or pins and located in the proximity of one of its longitudinal edges (6) and pressed on one of the document surfaces; a ring-shaped part (7) integral with the base (4) by its transverse edges (8, 9). The base (4) and the ring-shaped part (7) enable to enclose the document over all or part of its thickness to maintain it. The invention is useful for storing documents and stationery articles.

Description

The present invention relates to a document support for storing in a ring or pin filing cabinet or any other document storage system free of perforations.

The invention also applies to the support of documents provided with perforations but not adapted to the configuration binder pins or rings.

The invention will essentially find its application in filing and office supplies.

In the current state of the art, for storing in ring or pin binders for unperforated documents or not stitched with special metal points, place the document in a perforated plastic bag or in a pocket consisting of a bottom and flaps (see document EP-A-0455063) (case 1), or we set a perforated adhesive strip at the edge of the document edge (case 2) where a back cover is applied partial peripheral adhesive bonding device enclosing a slide fitted with movable plug-in legs and holes between a projecting position of the legs and holes and a retracted position of these (case 3).

French patent FR 2,482,010 relates to a holder for holding magazines, periodicals, brochures and other folded sheets in binders rings, hanging files or in blankets loose-leaf, characterized in that it comprises a bar which has, along one of its long sides, a certain number of holes whose spacing corresponds to that classic binder rings or clips, filing cabinets with hanging files or sheet covers mobile, and near its other long side, a slot which is practically parallel to this large side and whose length corresponds to the maximum height of the sheets to be classified, while the width of said slot corresponds to the half the maximum thickness of said sheets.

The means used in case 1 is only suitable for formats document standards and more does not allow to store documents of significant thickness; moreover, it does not allow not a consultation, open filing cabinet, from inside the classified document.

The means used in cases 2 and 3, in addition to the fact that they are difficult to position on the document, have the major disadvantages of not being reusable and permanently change the appearance of document to file; moreover, they are likely to damage documents when the media is torn off, which happens when the document to be stored in the filing cabinet has a weight substantial.

As for the system corresponding to the technique developed in French patent FR 2,482,010, these are bars of maintenance according to the section of the document. These bars have the disadvantage of inducing significant wear of the document at level of its slice. In particular, the ends are particularly stressed and damaged.

There are also areas of concentration of high stresses on the bar at the level of the parts side of the slot allowing the insertion of the document. From this fact, the bars according to French patent FR 2,482,010 are basically made of plastic enough rigid, which increases the manufacturing cost and causes over-thickness induced by the presence of a plastic element in the thickness of the document.

In addition, if the document is too thick, setting up the bar by threading is difficult and there is a twist of the bar.

The present invention is a new document carrier aimed at overcoming the disadvantages of current systems used.

First, the invention aims to maintain documents without suitable perforations without damaging them. At this subject, the support presented here has the advantage of girding the document according to its thickness and not according to its edge. Through elsewhere, the document retention mode allows a surface significant support between said document and the support according to the invention by avoiding all areas of high concentration of constraint.

Another object of the invention is to provide a support for resistant documents.

It has the advantage of distributing the constraints well on the entire support, the constraints being oriented depending on the thickness of the document.

Another object of the invention is to authorize an adjustment of the support according to the dimensions of the document and in particular depending on its height. To do so, the document holder, presented here, has the advantage in a particular mode of realization of allowing different folding zones for adapt to different document heights.

The invention also aims to provide a support for documents which allow a maintenance not only by threading but also by insertion into a sheath. In this way, said support, which is reusable, allows not only to keep bound or stapled documents in filing cabinets such as magazines, brochures, catalogs, files and more broadly folded sheets, but also any object flat such as a single leaf, a bundle of loose leaves or a simple sheetless plate. The object of the present invention being feasible in plastic or thin card stock, its cost will be limit.

The present invention relates to a document holder making it possible to store a document devoid of suitable perforations in a ring or pin filing cabinet, characterized in that it comprises:

• a bottom provided with perforations adapted to the rings or to the pins of the filing cabinet and located near one of its longitudinal edges and applying to one of the faces of the document,
• an annular part secured to the bottom by its transverse edges,

and that the bottom and the annular part make it possible to surround the document by all or part of its thickness to maintain it.

The attached drawings are given as examples indicative and not limiting. They represent a mode of preferred embodiment according to the invention. They will allow easily understand the invention.

Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 illustrate a prime mode of realization of the support.

Figure 3 is a sectional view along line A-A shown in figure 4.

Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8 show the realization of the support according to the invention in a particular mode of realization with flaps.

Figures 9, 10, 11 and 12 show another mode of realization of the invention if it allows the formation of a sheath.

In a professional or private setting, users of written documents are regularly required to carry out classifications by means of filing cabinets. It is not always possible to punch the documents to be filed in the binders with rings or pins which requires the use of supports realizing the necessary interface. The invention is part of this frame for supporting all documents in binders with rings or pins of all types.

According to the invention, the support (1) of documents (2) comprises first of all a bottom (4) provided with perforations (5). These perforations (5) are configured to adapt to the rings or pins of the binder. The perforations (5) are located near one of the longitudinal edges (6) of the bottom as shown in Figure 1.

The bottom constitutes a surface allowing the application of one of the sides of the document (2) as it appears to Figures 3 and 4.

The support according to the invention also comprises a part annular (7). The annular part (7) is integral with the bottom (4) by each of its transverse edges (8, 9) as shown in figure 2. In cooperation with the bottom (4), the annular part (7) allows the document to be belted according to its thickness (3). Figures 3 and 4 illustrate a belt with a part of the thickness (3) of the document. The background (4) then applies to one of the document faces (2) and the annular part (7) extends over the interior of the document (2).

It is also possible to belt around the entire thickness of the document (2), the annular part (7) then applying to the other side of the document (2).

In a particular embodiment, the part annular (7) is formed by at least two flaps (10, 11) such as shown in Figure 5. Each of these flaps (10, 11) is connected to the bottom (4) at one of its transverse edges (8, 9). This connection can be made by any means or the bottom and the flaps can be formed from a single sheet.

Each of the flaps (10, 11) is capable of being folded on or inside the document (2) to surround it according to a or several folding zones (16) as shown in figure 7.

In a particular embodiment, the flaps (10, 11) include means for securing (12, 13) their free ends (14, 15) when folded.

These joining means (12, 13) will for example formed by the combination of a tongue arranged at the end (15) of one of the flaps (11) and of a slot formed near the end (14) of the other flap (10). Other constitutions of securing means (12, 13) are also conceivable in particular by the use of an adhesive allowing successive bondings or not flaps (10, 11).

The invention applies to be used for different types of documents and in particular documents presenting different heights or thicknesses. In this sense, a mode of preferential embodiment of the invention provides that the support (1) has several folding zones (16) of one or more flaps (10, 11) relative to the bottom (4).

To further expand the applications of the invention, the support (1) presented can also allow storage of a document (2) by insertion into a sheath (17). This embodiment is illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 12.

As shown, the support has means of connection of the bottom (4) and the longitudinal edge (20) of the annular part (7) located on the side of the perforations (5) of the bottom (4). A substantially four-sided sheath (17) is thus formed, three of these sides being closed.

The connecting means of the bottom (4) and the border longitudinal (20) add a transverse blocking of the document (2) relative to the support (1) as shown in Figure 12.

The connecting means of the bottom (4) and the border longitudinal (20) could be made up of different ways. In the preferred mode illustrated, these means are constituted by one or more tabs (18) integral with the bottom (4). These tabs (18) bear elastically on the surface of the annular part (7) as shown in Figure 10.

The number and positioning of the tabs (18) are not limited as is their shape. These tabs (18) can be elements added to the bottom surface (4) or be formed in the bottom material (4) by cutting in its area.

The tabs (18), integral with the bottom (4) and resting on the surface of the annular part (7) provides a closure along the longitudinal edge (20) of the annular part (7).

The formation of a sheath (17) does not allow a displacement of the document (2) only in the sense of its commitment or its support disengagement (1). When the document (2) is inserted, its maintenance is effective due to the different supports that the support achieves on its faces.

However, to complete or strengthen the fixation of the document (2) in the support (1), the invention can present a locking element (19).

In particular the blocking element (19) can be located in upper part of the bottom (4) near the longitudinal edge opposite that of the perforations (5).

In a first embodiment, the blocking element (19) is constituted by a pinching piece such as a paper clip pinching the bottom (4) and the document (2) in the same time.

In a second embodiment, the blocking element (19) performs a hooking, for example by stapling.

To prevent the locking element (19) from being exceeded beyond the maximum dimensions of the bottom (4), this includes a recess (21) as shown in Figure 10. The element of blocking (19) is therefore not protruding.

It appears from the above description that the manufacture of the support (1) according to the invention is easy and can be made from a single sheet or by different elements assembled. Different materials may be used for the realization of the support and in particular of the card stock or plastic.

The use of the support (1) according to the invention is particularly practical.

According to a first possibility, the document (2) is positioned and maintained on the support (1) by threading it on all or part of its thickness between the bottom (4) and the part annular (7). When the support (1) has flaps (10, 11) threading is replaced by folding the flaps (10, 11) over all or part of the thickness of the document (2).

According to the embodiment where a sheath (17) is formed, an additional lateral locking of the document (2) is carried out. The document (2) is inserted by insertion into the sheath (17). A blocking element (19) ensures possibly additional support.

The invention thus allows broad applications to different types of documents with dimensions and thicknesses variety.

Claims (11)

1. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, characterized in that
      it includes

   a back (4) provided with perforations (5) adapted to the rings or the pins of the binder and located close to one of its longitudinal edges (6) and applying on one of the sides of the document (2),

   an annular part (7) joined to the back (4) along its transverse edges (8, 9),

   and that the back (4) and the annular part (7) allow the document (2) to be enclosed for all or part its thickness (3) in order to hold it.
2. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claim 1, characterized in that
      the annular part (7) is formed of at least two flaps (10, 11) connected each one to a transverse edge (8, 9) of the back (4) and capable of being folded on or inside the document in order to enclose it.
3. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claim 2, characterized in that
      flaps (10, 11) include means for joining (12, 13) their unattached ends (14, 15) when they are folded.
4. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that
      at least one flap comprises several folding zones (16) relative to the back (4) so that the support (1) can be adapted to the various heights or thicknesses of documents.
5. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that
      it presents means for connecting the back (4) and the longitudinal edge of the annular party (7) located on the perforations (5) side of the back (4) in order to form a sleeve (17) allowing a second method of installing the document (2) on the support (1) by insertion.
6. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claim 5, characterized in that
      the means for connection consist of one or more tabs (18) joined to the back (4) and elastically bearing on the surface of the annular part (7)

      the tabs (18) are created by cutting the surface of the back (4).
8. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claims 5 to 7, characterized in that
      it presents an element for blocking (19) the document in order to complete its fixing on the support (1).
9. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claim 8, characterized in that
      the blocking element (19) is received at a cut-out (21) formed on the back (4) and stopping the blocking element (19) at the maximum dimensions of the back (4).
10. Support (1) for storing documents (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claims 1 to 9, characterized in that
       it is produced from a single sheet of cardboard or plastic.
11. Support (1) for storing a document (2) without adapted perforations in a pin or ring binder, according to claims 1 to 4 or 10, characterized in that
       the back (4) and the annular part (7) enclose the document (2) by part of its thickness (3).
