Abstract

The adapter allows fitting of a perforated document into a ring binder. The adapter has a base (4) with perforations (5) fitting the binder rings. The base is fitted along one side of the document. A ring (7) fixed to the base by its side edges (8,9) encloses the document to support it.

Description

I The present invention relates to a document support making it possible to

  store a document without perforations in a pin filing cabinet in a ring or pin filing cabinet or any other system for plugging in. 5 The invention also applies to the support of documents provided with perforations but not adapted to the configuration

  binder pins or rings.

  The invention will essentially find its application in

  filing and office supplies.

  The means used in case 1 is only suitable for standard document formats and moreover does not allow documents of great thickness to be stored there; moreover, it does not allow consultation, with the folder open, of the interior of the classified document. The means used in cases 2 and 3, in addition to the fact that they are difficult to position on the document, have the major drawbacks of not being reusable and of permanently modifying the appearance of the document to be classified; in addition, they are likely to damage documents when the support is torn off, which occurs when the document to be stored in the filing cabinet has a substantial weight. As for the system corresponding to the technique developed in French patent FR 2,482,010, these are holding bars according to the edge of the document. These bars have the disadvantage of inducing significant wear of the document at its edge. In particular, the ends are particularly stressed and damaged.20 There are also areas of high stress concentration on the bar at the lateral parts of the slot allowing the document to be inserted. Therefore, the bars according to French patent FR 2,482,010 are essentially made of sufficiently rigid plastic material, which increases the manufacturing cost and causes an extra thickness induced by the presence of a plastic element.

  The present invention is a new document support aimed at overcoming the drawbacks of the systems currently used. First, the invention aims to maintain documents without perforations without damaging them. On this subject, the support presented here has the advantage of girdling the document according to its thickness and not according to its edge. Furthermore, the document retention mode allows a large bearing surface between said document and the support according to the invention while avoiding any areas of high concentration of stress. Another object of the invention is to provide a support for

resistant documents.

  It has the advantage of distributing the stresses well over the entire support, the stresses being oriented

depending on the thickness of the document.

  Another object of the invention is to authorize an adjustment of the support as a function of the dimensions of the document and in particular as a function of its height. To do this, the document support, here presented, has the advantage in a particular embodiment of allowing different folding zones for

  adapt to different document heights.

  The object of the invention is also to offer a document support which allows maintenance not only by threading but also by insertion into a sheath. In this way, said support, which is reusable, allows not only to keep bound or bound documents in binders such as magazines, brochures, catalogs, files and more broadly folded sheets, but also any flat object such as a single sheet, a bundle of loose leaves or a simple sheetless plate. The object of the present invention being achievable in plastic material or thin card stock, its cost will be limited.

  The present invention relates to a document holder making it possible to store a document without perforations in a ring or pin filing cabinet, characterized in that it comprises: - a bottom provided with perforations adapted to the rings or pins of the filing cabinet and located near one of its longitudinal edges and applying to one of the faces of the document, - an annular part secured to the bottom by its transverse edges, and the bottom and the annular part allow the document to be surrounded by any or part of its thickness to maintain it. The attached drawings are given as indicative and non-limiting examples. They represent a preferred embodiment according to the invention. They will allow

  Figures 9, 10, 11 and 12 show another embodiment of the invention in the case where it allows the

formation of a sheath.

  In a professional or private setting, users of written documents are regularly required to make classifications using binders. It is not always possible to perforate the documents to be classified in ring or pin binders, which requires the use of supports providing the necessary interface. The invention is part of this framework for the support of all documents in binders

  with rings or pins of all types.

  According to the invention, the support (1) for documents (2) firstly comprises a bottom (4) provided with perforations (5). These perforations (5) are configured so as to adapt to the rings or the pins of the filing cabinet. The perforations (5) are located near one of the longitudinal edges (6) of the bottom

  as shown in Figure 1.

  The support according to the invention also comprises an annular part (7). The annular part (7) is integral with the bottom (4) by each of its transverse edges (8, 9) as shown in FIG. 2. In cooperation with the bottom (4), the annular part

  (7) allows the document to be belted according to its thickness (3).

  Figures 3 and 4 illustrate a belt with part of the thickness (3) of the document. The bottom (4) is then applied to one of the faces of the document (2) and the annular part (7)

  extends over the interior of the document (2).

  It is also possible to belt the entire thickness of the document (2), the annular part

  (7) then applying to the other side of the document (2).

  In a particular embodiment, the annular part (7) is formed by at least two flaps (10, 11) as shown in FIG. 5. Each of these flaps (10, 11) is connected to the bottom (4) at the level of one of its transverse edges (8, 9). This connection can be made by any means or the bottom and the flaps can be formed from a

single sheet.

  Each of the flaps (10, 11) can be folded over or inside the document (2) to belt it according to one or more folding zones (16) as shown in

figure 7.

  In a particular embodiment, the flaps (10, 11) comprise means (12, 13) for securing their

  free ends (14, 15) when folded.

  These securing means (12, 13) will for example be constituted by the combination of a tongue disposed at the end (14) of one of the flaps (10) and a slot formed near the end ( 15) on the other flap (11). Other constitutions of securing means (12, 13) can also be envisaged in particular by the use of an adhesive allowing successive bondings or not

flaps (10, 11).

  The invention applies to be used for different types of documents and in particular documents having different heights or thicknesses. In this sense, a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the support (1) comprises several folding zones (16) of one or more flaps

(10, 11) relative to the bottom (4).

  To further expand the applications of the invention, the support (1) presented can also allow the storage of a document (2) by insertion into a sheath

  (17). This embodiment is illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 12.

  As shown, the support has means for connecting the bottom (4) and the longitudinal edge (20) of the annular part (7) located on the side of the perforations (5) of the bottom (4). A substantially four-sided sheath (17) is

  thus formed, three of these sides being closed.

  The connecting means of the bottom (4) and the longitudinal edge (20) add a transverse blocking of the document

  (2) relative to the support (1) as shown in Figure 12.

  The connecting means of the bottom (4) and the longitudinal edge (20) can be formed in different ways. In the preferred embodiment illustrated, these means consist of one or more tabs (18) integral with the bottom (4). These tabs (18) bear elastically on the surface

  of the annular part (7) as shown in Figure 10.

  The number and positioning of the tabs (18) are not limited, as is their shape. These tabs (18) can be elements attached to the surface of the bottom (4) or even be formed in the material of the bottom (4) by cutting in its surface. The tabs (18), integral with the bottom (4) and pressing on the surface of the annular part (7) produce a closure along the longitudinal edge (20) of the annular part (7). The formation of a sheath (17) authorizes a movement of the document (2) only in the direction of its engagement or its disengagement from the support (1). When the document (2) is inserted, its retention is effective due to the different supports

  that the support achieves on its faces.

  However, to complete or reinforce the fixing of the document (2) in the support (1), the invention can present a

locking element (19).

  In particular the locking element (19) can be located in the upper part of the bottom (4) near the longitudinal edge

  opposite that of the perforations (5).

  In a first embodiment, the blocking element (19) consists of a pinching piece such as a paper clip pinching the bottom (4) and the document (2) at the same time. In a second embodiment, the blocking element

  (19) performs a hooking, for example by stapling.

  To avoid any overshoot of the locking element (19) beyond the maximum ribs of the bottom (4), the latter includes a recess (21) as shown in FIG. 10. The element of

  blocking (19) is therefore not protruding.

  It appears from the preceding description that the manufacture

  support (1) according to the invention is easy and can be performed from a single sheet or by different assembled elements. Different materials could be used for the realization of the support and in particular of the

  card stock or plastic.

  The use of the support (1) according to the invention is

particularly practical.

  According to a first possibility, the document (2) is positioned and maintained on the support (1) by threading it over all or part of its thickness between the bottom (4) and the annular part (7). When the support (1) has flaps (10, 11) the threading is replaced by a folding of the flaps (10, 11)

  over all or part of the thickness of the document (2).

  According to the embodiment where a sheath (17) is formed,

  an additional lateral locking of the document (2) is carried out.

  The document (2) is put in place by insertion into the sheath (17). A blocking element (19) ensures

  possibly additional support.

Claims (10)

  1. Support (1) of documents for storing a document (2) devoid of perforations in a pin filing cabinet, characterized in that it comprises: - a bottom (4) provided with perforations (5) adapted to the rings or to the pins of the binder and located near one of its longitudinal edges (6) and applying to one of the faces of the document (2), an annular part (7) secured to the bottom (4) by its edges transverse (8, 9), and that the bottom (4) and the annular part (7) allow the document (2) to be surrounded by all or part of its thickness (3) to maintain it.   2.
