Definitions
- the invention relates to the interior architecture sector. It relates to more particularly a new structure of false ceiling tiles, intended for equip premises of very different sizes ranging from a few meters to a few hundred square meters. It more specifically relates to the use of a textile sheet for making false ceiling tiles.
- false ceilings are generally made from unitary slabs which are placed on a frame itself suspended under the ceiling of the room or building in which the false ceiling is installed.
- Such a chassis generally consists of a grid made from inverted T profiles, the chassis being connected to the ceiling proper by a set of lines.
- the grid defined by these profiles is arranged to receive slabs of which the periphery rests on the horizontal zones of the aforementioned T profiles.
- the slabs mounted on these frames are generally essentially rigid, and made from materials incorporating a large fraction of plaster. Of such slabs are therefore relatively heavy and bulky.
- the invention proposes to provide a false ceiling structure which combines the practical advantages of installing false ceilings in rigid tiles, while retaining the flattering aesthetic appearance of stretch canvas suspended ceilings.
- the invention therefore relates to a slab intended to be mounted in a chassis bearing a false ceiling structure.
- the tiles according to the invention are surface tiles unit of which the quantity necessary to cover the ceiling can be determined during the installation of this false ceiling, without compulsory prior visit.
- Such tiles are made of stretched textile and therefore have the advantages aesthetic and functional use of textiles.
- the tiles are preferably square, or even rectangular, but in some particular realizations, other shapes polygonal could be adopted without departing from the scope of the invention.
- the textile sheet may comprise several layers of different natures allowing to combine different properties specific to each layer.
- an openwork textile sheet can be associated with an opaque fabric, of so as to bring to light the openwork nature of the visible sheet.
- the textile sheet may include a layer of foam intended to provide thermal or sound insulation.
- the textile sheet may include a fabric conductor of electricity, so as to serve as a heat source when it is suitably supplied.
- each peripheral element has a square or triangle shape, and is arranged at an angle of the textile sheet.
- each peripheral element comprises means for pinching the textile sheet, so that the tiles can be assembled on demand, as the false ceiling is covered.
- each peripheral element comprises two parts capable of slide one relative to the other, and which come to be embedded in a jaw so that the corner comes to pinch the edge of the textile sheet against the jaw.
- the counter wedge is held in place by the force exerted by the banded rod, this which ensures a permanent pinching of the textile sheet.
- the first face of the corner on which comes the fabric has ribs located opposite the edges of the jaw. In this way, the edges of the jaw penetrate slightly at the inside of these ribs to further ensure more effective pinching of the textile sheet.
- the wedge and the counter wedge include means for guiding their relative displacement.
- these guide means can be constituted by a rib and a complementary groove arranged on the corner and the counter corner.
- the jaw is made of metal, so that its thickness can be greatly limited, and therefore the fraction of the peripheral element located below the tissue is extremely small.
- peripheral element can be declined in multiple geometries, and is not limited to the single form of rectangular slabs or square, but it is possible to adapt such an element for angles other than 90 °, or even curved shapes.
- peripheral elements it may be interesting to combine different peripheral elements according to the invention to allow the joining of slabs so as to form a larger area composed of several slabs.
- the tongue provides a force of enough pressure to prevent the tissue from being pulled out of the rib.
- the pinching means are adaptable to different sheet thicknesses textile, and in the case where the fabric is relatively thick and openwork, the blocking is further improved by the cooperation of the tongue with the thread of the fabric with which she is in touch
- each peripheral element includes a reception housing one end of the rod, allowing easy and durable mounting of the rod in across the slab.
- At least one of the elements peripherals includes means for adjusting the tension exerted by the rod bandaged. Indeed, in some applications, it may be interesting to adjust the tension force exerted by the deformation of the rods.
- the slab may also include a tie rod cooperating on the one hand, with the rods at their crossing zone, and on the other share, with the textile sheet, so as to give said sheet a shape convex towards the rods.
- each slab takes on an almost conical shape, particularly sought after in acoustics since the developed surface of such a slab is greater than the projected square area.
- We increase absorption phenomena because the angles of incidence are attenuated, which is favorable to the attenuation of sound waves.
- the slab further comprises an arrow cooperating on the one hand, with the rods at their crossing zone, and on the other hand, with the textile sheet at level of its center, so as to give the textile sheet a concave shape towards the rods.
- false ceilings can be fitted with two types of tiles particular aforementioned, which can be mixed, in particular in staggered rows to some applications.
- the invention relates to a new slab structure intended to be fitted with false ceilings, in which the main face consists of a textile sheet.
- the textile sheet (2) is equipped in each of its corners peripheral elements (4-7) having a square shape, and the face of which lower (10) is intended to rest on a T-profile (11), as illustrated in the figure 3.
- T-sections form a grid defining square openings inside which the tiles conforming to the invention.
- the frame made of such T-sections (11) is suspended below the main ceiling (13) by means of hangers (14) or any other means equivalent.
- Each peripheral element (4-7), as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, is intended to pinch the tissue in its peripheral zone, preferably without that no organ crosses or pierces the tissue, which would constitute tear primers when it is energized.
- Such a peripheral element can be constituted by the assembly of the three elements illustrated in Figures 4 to 6.
- the different organs of the peripheral element have been shown so that they show up their face which will face down when the slab is in place for form the false ceiling.
- the textile sheet is represented on top of the peripheral element while when the slab is placed on the supporting frame, the textile sheet will be laid down.
- the peripheral element comprises as illustrated in the figure 4, a jaw (20), which essentially has a bearing face (21), of form illustrated trapezoidal, but which can take other forms, as long as it provides sufficient support at the corner and counter corner.
- This bearing face is extended laterally by two lateral faces (22, 23), which are perpendicular to it. These lateral faces (22, 23) come opposite the edges of the textile sheet (2). Each of these side faces (22, 23) has a rim (24, 25) oriented towards the bearing face (21), and whose end (26, 27) is intended to come into contact with the textile sheet, and preferably between two wires to ensure effective anchoring.
- the jaw (20) is made of a metallic material such as steel stainless.
- the advantage of using a metallic material is to minimize the thickness of the ledges (25, 26) which are the only parts of the peripheral element to be located on the underside of the textile sheet when it is placed in the false ceiling.
- This jaw (20) is intended to accommodate the corner (30) illustrated in the figure (5).
- This corner (30) has a general shape, seen from above, of a right triangle isosceles, in the most frequent case where the slab is square or rectangular, but this shape could vary depending on that of the slab.
- the corner (30) has a first face (31) which is intended to come in contact of the textile sheet (2) so as to press it against the edges (24, 25) of the jaw (20).
- the first face (31) of the corner (30) may have grooves (33, 34) parallel to the right-angled sides of the corner. These two grooves (33, 34) are located at a distance from the sides of the corner substantially equal to the distance between the edges (26, 27) of the flanges (24, 25) relative to the lateral faces (22, 23) of the jaw (20).
- edges (26, 27) lie at the base of the ribs (33, 34) when the wedge is placed in the jaw, and the tissue is therefore slightly there imprisoned. It follows that the risks of fabric slipping or coming out of the peripheral element are very clearly reduced, even non-existent, for almost majority of tissue types.
- the corner (30) has a second face (32) which has a certain inclination with respect to the first face (31), so that the thickness of the corner is greater than the level of its right angle (35) relative to its hypotenuse (36).
- the space located between this lower face (32) and the bearing face (21) of the jaw when the wedge (30) is embedded therein also has a variable thickness, intended to accommodate the counter corner (40) illustrated in FIG. 6.
- Such a counter corner (40) has a thickness such that when its face (41) slides against the face (32) of the wedge (30), the face (42) of the counter wedge (40) ends by come into contact with the bearing surface (21) of the jaw, and therefore plate the sheet textile (2) against the edges (24, 25) of the jaw.
- the counter-corner (40) is kept in position relative to the corner (30). thanks to the force exerted by the rod (8, 9) which comes to bear on the counter wedge (40), at a housing (46) provided for this purpose.
- the wedge (30) and the counter wedge (40) can be formed of a wide variety of materials, especially plastics such as polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide which are advantageously light.
- peripheral element By the design and the simplicity of this peripheral element, we conceive the possibility of associating several of these peripheral elements, at the level of lateral faces of the jaws (22, 23) for example to form a zone of junction between several textile sheets, and thus achieve a butting.
- the very small thickness of the side faces of the jaw allows bring the adjacent textile sheets very close together, so as to ensure almost perfect butting.
- a peripheral element can be made of a profile, or as illustrated by way of example, by the combination of two profiles.
- the peripheral element comprises a first U-shaped profile (50), forming an external part, and comprising a groove (51) receiving a second thinner section (55).
- the underside (52) of the outer U-shaped profile is intended to rest on the T-profile (11) of the chassis.
- the groove (51) of this U-shaped profile (50) receives the second profile (55) intended to perform the pinching function of the fabric.
- the elements peripherals can be realized by a single profiled element.
- the latter comprises essentially a groove (56) and an articulated tongue (57).
- the groove (56), parallel to the groove (51) of the outer profile (50), is intended to receive an edge of the textile sheet (2).
- the tongue (57) is articulated relative to an edge of the groove (56), and more precisely with respect to the wall (58) forming the upper part of the profile internal (50).
- This articulation is obtained by a zone (59) of lesser thickness and allows pivoting of the tongue (57) between two positions.
- the external zone of the profile (50) is pivoted so that the tongue (57) is inside the rib (56), and oriented towards the interior of the rib (56).
- the tongue (57) pinches the fabric on the opposite wall (52) of the internal profile (51), and the orientation of the tongue (57) forms a flying arc opposing the exit of the fabric.
- the locking of the fabric is further improved in the case where the textile sheet (2) includes an openwork structure in which the warp or weft threads are relatively far apart from each other, such as in particular for example for technical fabrics sold under the BATYLINE® brand.
- a particular wire (65) of the fabric cooperates with the end of the tongue (57) and ensures precise locking and closes in position of the fabric.
- the outer area (60) of the internal profile (55) also comprises, beyond the tongue (57), a curved zone (64) intended to come to bear on the fabric when the latter is in the pinched position, so as to ensure regularity of the peripheral tension of the tissue.
- This outer area (60) also serves as support for the user to cause the tongue to pivot.
- the invention is not limited to the form of element device illustrated, but covers all variants in which the fabric is pinched by any appropriate means in its peripheral zone.
- One of the interests of the invention is to allow easy installation of the peripheral elements around the sheet of fabric, and this on demand, as the setting places elements in the supporting frame.
- the slab (1) comprises rods (8, 9) for tensioning the fabric. These rods (8, 9) cooperate with the elements peripherals (4-7) at the level of grooves or housings (46) provided for this purpose.
- Such housings (46) can advantageously be arranged on the counter wedge (40) or at the junction of the two branches of the element's square device shown in Figure 8.
- This housing (46) has an inclination ( ⁇ ) relative to the main plane of the slab (1), so that the rods (8, 9) which it receives are bent to exert a tensile force stretching the fabric.
- the inclination ( ⁇ ) is determined so that the tension on the fabric is sufficient for the latter to be effectively planar and to adopt no curvature due to its own weight.
- the rods are designed so that such adjustment is unnecessary.
- each branch of the peripheral element is also determined to avoid sagging of the center and edges of the textile sheet due to its own weight.
- the peripheral elements (4-7) have a length of the order of 80 mm, and the rods (8, 9) used are cylindrical steel rods, of a diameter close to 6 mm.
- the tension exerted on the fabric is sufficient for an inclination ( ⁇ ) of the rods (8, 9) at the level of the peripheral elements (4-7) of the order of 15 °.
- the invention also covers alternative embodiments as illustrated Figures 10 and 11, in which the textile sheet is no longer flat, but at contrary marries a curvature oriented either upwards or downwards.
- the slab (80) comprises an element additional constituting a tie rod (81), and connected on the one hand, to the rods (82), to the level of their intersection, and on the other hand, cooperating with the textile sheet (83) in its center, via a protruding zone (84) passing through a hole (85) formed for this purpose in the center of the sheet.
- the length of this tie (81) is less than the distance between the rods (82) of the textile sheet (83) when the latter is at rest. In this way, the center of the textile sheet is raised relative to the main plane of the slab (80).
- the tie rod (81), and the central zone of the sheet (83) can be advantageously equipped with all means to avoid degradation of the fabric due to the additional traction exerted.
- the slab (90) illustrated in FIG. 11 has an element forming arrow (91), cooperating on the one hand, with the rods (92) at their intersection, and on the other hand, with the center of the sheet (93), so as to push back down the central zone of the textile sheet below its rest position.
- the configuration of the two embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 11 is particularly advantageous for its acoustic properties, since the sound wave incidence angles are changed, which is conducive to absorption of acoustic energy.
- the surface of the sheet, and therefore its energy absorption capacities is greater than the embodiment in which the sheet is strictly planar.
- the textile sheet can consist of an openwork fabric such as in particular that marketed under the BATYLINE® brand by the Applicant.
- This textile sheet can consist of several different layers, such as in particular a layer of openwork fabric, and a layer of more opaque fabric, allowing to make the slab opaque visually, while leaving it the appearance aesthetic of an openwork fabric.
- the textile sheet can also incorporate a layer of foam or equivalent, used for its thermal and / or sound insulation properties.
- the color and patterns printed on the textile sheets can be advantageously used to form signage at the false ceiling, which can change with the displacement or replacement of tiles colored.
- the false ceiling made up of tiles in accordance with the invention, in which the textile sheets allow air to pass through allows air circulation to across the entire surface of the false ceiling.
- the entire surface of the false ceiling serves as a mouth ventilation.
- a variation in the permeability of the slabs is adopted to ensure a distribution of pressure drops such as the flow through the surface of the false ceiling is substantially uniform over its entire surface.
- Such an arrangement also makes it possible to ensure the air filtration operation. flowing directly through the tiles and more precisely their textile sheet and not more by specific systems.
- the various tiles can in addition, incorporate a heating cloth to heat the air passing through them, and thus ensuring a uniform distribution of heat.
- nature metal of the jaw (20) of the peripheral element ensures a effective current supply.
- the tiles according to the invention can be mounted directly on site.
- the mounting of a slab includes the operations of placing the four peripheral elements at the corner of the sheet textile, then placing the two diagonal rods across the sheet textile.
