Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a painting system with a Spray device for applying coating material to an object, especially one Motor vehicle body, with two in a row or serving in parallel as an intermediate reservoir Containers and with a separator for electrostatic isolation at least one of the Receptacle and the downstream spraying device against a feed side so that at least one Receptacle and the sprayer opposite to that painting object during the coating process can be brought to high voltage.
Such electrostatic painting devices are known. To almost the entire amount of paint on the to be able to apply the painting object Spray device and one arranged in front Paint container on the painting device High voltage in the order of more than 50 kV compared to the paint to be kept at earth potential Brought object. Because of the resulting electric field, almost the entire amount of paint is applied applied the object to be painted and the Waste minimized accordingly. To do this, use a mechanically acting electrostatic separator of the Intermediate container and the spray or Atomizing device after filling the Intermediate container mechanically separated and then on the object to be painted Brought high tension. Construction, training and operation such a mechanical separation device complex and expensive, since liquid-carrying lines for Filling the paint receptacle liquid-tight connected and separated from each other have to. That in the connecting sections of the lines remaining coating material also brings Problems with themselves.
Basically there is in the operation of such Painting system the problem that as an intermediate reservoir serving container not continuously with Coating material can be filled because in such a case, high-voltage insulation is not possible would.
In a painting system of the type described above it is possible to mechanically the two containers disconnect from each other to create an electrical High voltage isolation of the containers from each other to reach. So the container can be on high voltage brought to carry out a painting process, while the other replenished at ground potential becomes. To switch from one container to the other or in the case of a serial arrangement, the second container refill, the painting process must be interrupted.
There is also the option of the first container above the second container, which as such open container is designed to be arranged so that Coating material due to gravity from the top Containers in the second container below can reach, and that over a freely emptying Drain from the first tank. Such an arrangement already has a continuous coating operation the first upper container during the Coating company filled from the second container, in Connection to this from the supply side electrostatically isolated and disconnected and on the high voltage of the second lower container is brought. In this condition is a refill of the lower container by opening the freely emptying drain of the upper container and thus continuous production operations possible. The High voltage on the upper container can then again switched off and the container for refilling with the Feed side to be connected.
A serious disadvantage is the fact that the second lower container designed as an open container have to be. Solvent vapors escape, and it does there is a risk of contamination in the second Can reach containers. Furthermore, it is difficult second container for example with solvent clean.
If a mechanical between the receptacles acting decoupling device for electrostatic Isolating the two containers from each other is provided so this represents a technically complex, prone to failure and less user-friendly solution.
The present invention has for its object a Painting system of the type mentioned above improve that with a structurally simple structure without that Requires mechanical decoupling of the components a loss-free continuous production operation possible and the disadvantages described above are not occur.
This task is carried out in a paint shop of the named Art solved according to the invention in that the electrostatic separator one between the first and the second receptacle provided electrically insulating line section, which is also the paint supply serves in the second receptacle, and one inside of the line section reciprocating pig which includes moving through the Line section whose inner surface of electrical free conductive coating material.
Under a newt one is guided by a conduit in the understood in the broadest sense a body that moves especially for painting equipment for expressing Coating materials from pipes and for cleaning the lines during or after a rinsing process Solvent is used. Usable for this Pig bodies are known per se; at least they are like that Resiliently trained to be minimal Excessively insertable in a pipe means and in substantially resilient elastic against the inside of the Line means are applied and still movable are. If flexible ducting means for example made of plastic materials Hoses are used, so can also be used in essential unyielding pig bodies are used. The use of pig bodies in painting facilities however, was only used for cleaning purposes. With the Invention has now been recognized through use a pig in conjunction with one from an electric insulating material formed a line section electrostatic separator can be formed at that only by moving the newt through the Line section an electrostatic insulation at a High voltage painting device can be achieved without that mechanical separation of components of the Painting equipment is required. By moving through of the pig through the line section becomes its inner Surface as if by a lip or squeegee from any electrically conductive liquid (Coating material, detergent) and it can high-voltage insulation can thereby be achieved.
According to the invention, it is not electrically or in the essential non-conductive voltage insulation over the Length of the pigged line section reached. Below it is understood that when a voltage of 100 kV over a length of the line section of approx. 300 mm Current flow less than 50 µA, preferably less than 30 µA.
With the invention it was thus recognized that by Use of a pig in an electrically insulating Line section between the two containers High voltage insulation can be achieved in that the pig the inside of the line section of free electrically conductive coating material. It can in a particularly advantageous manner a closed pressure-tight container used as receptacle become. This has the advantage that none Solvent vapors escape and one with pressure loadable closed system can be realized can. It has also proven to be advantageous that the one-sided filling volume in the receptacle delimiting piston means is provided by its other side with a control pressure can be applied. The So the piston can, so to speak, on the Rest coating material. By applying the control pressure can be any pressure inside the receptacle be specified. By moving the piston means at the same time the inside of the respective container doctored off, so that the control medium volume of the Piston means need not be cleaned. The Piston means can be a minimal with coating material limit fillable volume, which is in view of a Solvent cleaning proves to be very advantageous because not the entire volume of the receptacle Solvent needs to be filled.
In a particularly advantageous development of the invention both between the two receptacles as well the feed side of the first receptacle one separation device according to the invention with an electrical insulating line section and a movable therein Newt provided. In such a case there is none at all mechanically acting decoupling device required, and it can nevertheless be a High voltage insulation can be achieved. The pipe system is closed all the time and no one is needed Coating material in freely ending pipe sections to be decoupled from a decoupling device. The The system can be operated without any loss.
It proves to be particularly advantageous in this Relation when the pig from one side to one Control means, preferably compressed air, and permanently on its other side Coating material is in contact. In that case the newt delimits a column of Coating material within the pipe system and can be used for expressing or pushing Coating material can be used. Although the outward and moving the newt by any pushing or traction means, also vacuum, would be conceivable, it turns out to be advantageous if the pig at least on one side of Compressed air can be acted on, in such a way that it at one-sided compressed air supply in the direction of Formation of electrical insulation is moved. The Return movement can be beneficial under the action of the coating material take place, for example, in that a control pressure within the second receptacle is specified, which with appropriate ventilation of the said line section the pig in the opposite Pushes back direction while doing the second Fills the line section again with coating material.

Steuereinrichtungen 48 bzw.
etwa 6 bar vorgegeben. Der Eingangsdruck auf der
Zuführseite des ersten Behälters 8 liegt zwischen diesen
Druckwerten, wobei angemerkt sei, dass sich das
Kolbenmittel 36 im ersten Behälter 8 in einer unteren
Endstellung befindet, die ein Durchströmen von
Beschichtungsmaterial durch den ersten Aufnahmebehälter 8
hindurch gestattet.With
Ferner
drückt der Molch 22 die Beschichtungsmaterialsäule
innerhalb des Leitungsabschnitts 18 in den zweiten
Aufnahmebehälter 10. Hiernach kann das Ventil 30
geschlossen werden. Der erste und der zweite
Aufnahmebehälter 8 und 10 sind nun elektrostatisch
voneinander isoliert. Der zweite Aufnahmebehälter 10 und
die nachgeordnete Spülvorrichtung 12 kann nun auf
Hochspannung (etwa 100 kV) gebracht werden und der
Beschichtungsvorgang kann nach Öffnen des Ventils 42 und
Inbetriebnahme einer weiteren Fördervorrichtung 54 sowie
eines Druckreglers 56 begonnen werden. Währenddessen wird
der erste Aufnahmebehälter 8 befüllt, was zweckmäßigerweise
kontinuierlicher verlustfreier Lackierbetrieb aufrecht
So it is the
At the end of the painting process you can move it down
