Die Arbeitsweise der Steuerung ist dergestalt, daß unabhängig von dessen Richtung bei einem seiner Größe nach einer gewollten Bewegung entsprechenden Kraftangriff an der Tür das die Brems- und Feststelleinrichtung enthaltende bewegliche Teil 19 des Feststellergehäuses 3 um einen Betrag, welcher der Größe und der Elastizität der Kissen 21 bzw. 22 entspricht, relativ zum feststehenden Teil 19 des Feststellergehäuses 3 verschoben wird, so daß die Steuermutter 25 durch die Spindel 3 angetrieben wird, obwohl sich die Brems- und Feststelleinrichtung noch in ihrer eingerückten Haltestellung befindet. Die so erzwungene Drehbewegung der Steuermutter 25 wird vermittels der Viskokupplung 26 in ein Antriebsmoment für das Ritzel 27 umgewandelt, welches seinerseits vermittels des Z.ahnrades 29 einen Rotationsantrieb der Excenterwelle 28 bewirkt, so daß der an der Excenterwelle 28 angeordnete Verstellexcenter 8 entgegen der ihn beaufschlagenden Wickelfeder 10, 11 in den Bremshebel 7 in seine Lösestellung verschwenkt und damit die Wirkung der Brems- und Feststelleinrichtung aufgehoben wird, mit der Folge, daß die Tür frei bewegbar ist. Umgekehrt bricht bei einem Anhalten der Tür das während der Türbewegung durch die Kombination Spindel 2 und Steuermutter 25 erzeugte Drehmoment zusammen, so daß die Viskokupplung 26 keine Antriebsleistung mehr auf das Ritzel 27 übertragen kann, mit der Folge, daß die Wickelfedern 10, 11 die Excenterwelle 25 und damit den an dieser angeordneten Verstellexcenter 8 in eine den Bremshebel 7 in seine der eingerückten Stellung der Brems- und Feststelleinrichtung entsprechende Stellung zurückdrehen, wodurch die Tür nunmehr durch die Brems- und Feststelleinrichtung wieder unbeweglich gehalten ist.
