Definitions
- the present invention relates to a floating body according to the preamble of claim 1, a life raft according to the preamble of claim 6 and a Inflatable boat according to the preamble of claim 11.
- Life rafts of the conventional type are rectangular, round or oval in shape. This has two major disadvantages. Firstly, the known life rafts have poor sea behavior in front of floating anchors and secondly, efficient self-rescue (with muscle or wind power) is unthinkable. In most of the known liferafts, it is also not possible for the occupants to return the island to the correct position after capsizing without leaving it. In some cases, such capsized liferafts have proven to be deadly traps. Usually, life rafts are equipped with a compressed air tank, by means of which the island can be inflated after watering. Since this air supply is very limited, the volume of the floating bodies of a life raft is limited. All these points contribute to the fact that the known life rafts often cannot offer the occupants the best possible chance of survival in an emergency.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to To provide floats and liferafts that do not have the disadvantages mentioned.
- the carrying tube or floating body 10 shown in FIG. 1 has an essentially banana-shaped basic shape in the inflated state.
- two wall elements 14, 15 form the hollow body of the floating element 10, which is circular in cross section.
- the two wall elements 14, 15 are connected along a circumferential seam 11.
- the seam is essentially arranged in one plane. In Figure 1, this level corresponds to the drawing level. This arrangement of the seam 11 advantageously allows two-dimensional production.
- the wall elements 14, 15 are cut from polyurethane (PU) -coated fabric and are welded along the seam 11 at high frequency.
- PU polyurethane
- the floating body can be designed as a two-chamber hose in an advantageous embodiment.
- the lumen of the tube 10 is divided into two chambers 16 and 17 by an elastic membrane 20.
- the membrane 20 is connected along the seam 11 to the wall elements 14, 15 and divides the floating body over the entire length, so that there is no communicating connection between the two chambers 16, 17.
- This two-chamber system gives the float increased security in the event that one of the wall elements is damaged and leaks. This is shown in Figure 2b. While the air flows out of the chamber 17 through a leak L, the membrane 20 can lay against the inner wall of the wall element 15.
- FIG. 3a shows a main body 1 of a life raft, which is composed of three floating bodies 10 ', 10 ", 10"' according to the invention. The distinctive boat or canoe shape of liferaft 1 is immediately noticeable.
- FIG. 3b The schematic structure of a life raft according to the invention is clear from the cross section according to FIG. 3b (along BB in FIG. 3a).
- a floor 22 is drawn in between the two lower floating bodies 10 'and 10''' and, as already mentioned above, stabilized by means of struts 21 (not shown).
- the three floating bodies 10 ', 10 ", 10"' are arranged essentially according to an isosceles triangle, the sides of which are formed by the bottom 22 and side walls 23, 24.
- the side walls are provided with forced ventilation so that there are always breathing holes above the water surface, even when capsized.
- the side walls can be provided in a known manner with closable openings for getting in and out.
- a removable floor mattress 25 insulates the floor against cold from below in the position shown.
- FIG. 4 shows a water liferaft 1 which is closed on all sides.
- the liferaft is connected to a ship, not shown, via a safety line 30.
- the safety line 30 is a high pressure hose 30, inside of which a steel cable is guided.
- the floating bodies 10 ′, 10 ′′, 10 ′′ ′′ of the life raft 1 are advantageously filled externally, that is to say from compressed air bottles on board the ship.
- the hose 30, which connects at least one floating body 10 ′, 10 ′′, 10 ′′ ′′ to the compressed air bottles, is used for this purpose.
- Detachable hose connections and / or non-return valves, also not shown, ensure that there is no communicating connection between the floats / chambers when filled
- the inner steel cable gives the safety line the necessary stability and tear resistance and at the same time increases the safety of life raft 1 when watering and inflating.
- the double function of the air hose and safety line ensures that the air supply when filling is also in heavy seas or so other stress is not interrupted. Since the compressed air bottles do not remain on or in the life raft as usual, their volume is no longer a limiting factor.
- This simple form of liferaft can not preventing capsizing, but otherwise shows everyone Advantages of the 3-hose version described above. In addition, it is of course lighter and requires the same Number of occupants to fill 1/3 less air than that Life raft with roof hose.
- two floating bodies according to the invention are connected to form an inflatable boat.
- the PU-coated material on both sides makes it possible, for example, to manufacture a float with a diameter of 40 cm, whose HF-welded peeling seam can withstand an excess pressure of up to 0.7 bar.
- the bursting pressure of floating bodies made of conventional PVC-coated materials is only 0.2 bar. The enormous increase in safety makes up for the higher purchase price of the PU-coated material for many areas of application.
- FIG. 5 and 6 differs from the simple version of the life raft described above, above all, by a non-continuous floor 22 ′ which is connected to a vertically standing stern end 40 at one end of the boat.
- an opening 50 is created in a rear end region of the boat between the stern end 40 and the and the floating bodies 10, 10 '.
- the rear end 40 ideally has sufficient rigidity to attach an outboard motor, not shown in the drawings, which projects through the opening 50 into the water. If the inflatable boat is to be provided with a sail, as shown in FIG. 6, the stern rudder can be attached to the end 40.
- the rear end is positioned so that an opening 50 is created which is large enough to move the rudder or motor freely.
- the rear end can be dimensioned much weaker than in comparable conventional inflatable boats, since the connection of the two floating bodies 10 ′, 10 ′′ ′′ in their end region 13 additionally stabilizes the boat in the rear region 2 ′′.
- the inflatable boats according to the invention meet the highest demands on safety and resilience.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a floating body according to the preamble of claim 1, a life raft according to the preamble of claim 6 and a Inflatable boat according to the preamble of claim 11.
Rettungsinseln der herkömmlichen Art sind rechteckiger, runder
oder ovaler Grundrissform. Dies bringt zwei entscheidende
In
Life rafts of the conventional type are rectangular, round or oval in shape.
The object of the present invention is therefore to To provide floats and liferafts that do not have the disadvantages mentioned.

Der in Figur 1 dargestellte Tragschlauch oder Schwimmkörper 10
weist im aufgeblasenen Zustand eine im wesentlichen
bananenförmige Grundgestalt auf. Wie aus der Figur 1a
ersichtlich ist, bilden zwei Wandelemente 14, 15 den im
Querschnitt kreisrunden Hohlkörper des Schwimmelementes 10.
Verbunden sind die beiden Wandelemente 14, 15 entlang einer
umlaufenden Naht 11. Die Naht ist im wesentlichen in einer
Ebene angeordnet. In der Figur 1 entspricht diese Ebene der
Zeichnungsebene.
10'', 10"' an ihren Endbereichen 12, 13 vorgegeben. Die
Schwimmkörper 10', 10'', 10''' sind wiederum vorteilhafterweise
miteinander hochfrequenzverschweisst.
The carrying tube or floating
Tests have shown that such a contour peeling seam can withstand three to four times the operating pressure. It has also been shown that with a float of 380 cm length, an overlap of 8 mm in the seam area is completely sufficient to achieve a multiple of the necessary seam strength.
In contrast to the conventional three-dimensional air bodies of known life rafts, which are glued, thermowelded or vulcanized, it has been shown that the new manufacturing process guarantees a much higher accuracy and thus an improved seam quality. Advantageously, no transverse seams are necessary in the floating body according to the invention. Although the material used is expensive compared to conventional materials, the higher material costs are offset by these manufacturing advantages.
As can be seen from FIG. 2a, the floating body can be designed as a two-chamber hose in an advantageous embodiment. The lumen of the

In a simpler version of the Life raft 1 according to the invention is the roof support hose 10 '' left out and it's just the two side ones Floats 10 'and 10' '' to a life raft put together. This simple form of liferaft can not preventing capsizing, but otherwise shows everyone Advantages of the 3-hose version described above. In addition, it is of course lighter and requires the same Number of occupants to fill 1/3 less air than that Life raft with roof hose.
stabilisiert.
Die erfindungsgemässen Schlauchboote erfüllen höchste Ansprüche
an die Sicherheit und Belastbarkeit. In a further advantageous embodiment, two floating bodies according to the invention, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, are connected to form an inflatable boat. The PU-coated material on both sides makes it possible, for example, to manufacture a float with a diameter of 40 cm, whose HF-welded peeling seam can withstand an excess pressure of up to 0.7 bar. In comparison, the bursting pressure of floating bodies made of conventional PVC-coated materials is only 0.2 bar. The enormous increase in safety makes up for the higher purchase price of the PU-coated material for many areas of application. The inflatable boat as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 differs from the simple version of the life raft described above, above all, by a
The inflatable boats according to the invention meet the highest demands on safety and resilience.
