Abstract

The fastening consists of a base (6), preferably of plastic, fitted to the underside of a component (2) by expanding dowels (14) in blind holes (43), and an anchoring element (29) with claws (30) to grip the underside of a panel (1) with an aperture to receive the component. The anchoring element is connected to the base by a screw (34) about which it can pivot, allowing the anchoring element to be turned away from the panel (1) to clear the edge of the aperture when it is inserted. After insertion the anchoring element is turned round so that its claws engage with the underside of the panel and the screw is tightened to fix it in place.
